Boost Mobile: $17.05 Cashback on $12 50GB 28-Day Prepaid SIM Starter Kit ($5.05 Profit) @ Cashrewards

3820

Hi guys. A Sunday special for the SIM lovers out there. Note this offer ends 10:30pm AEDT today (Sunday) at which time it reverts to $15.33 cashback until 7am tomorrow. For those with questions, @BargainsGrabber has a fabulous FAQ here that will help. Please also read my handy tips below before proceeding (orders are currently tracking to members within 15 minutes of purchase). If you're chasing a yearly plan, we have $50 cashback on the $300 SIM as well. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

  • Important: Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase.
  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.
  • You must return and click through Cashrewards for each new transaction.

Handy tips:

For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click before purchase. Just navigate to Boost via one of the two offers on Cashrewards and buy. Try our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

I bought a $2 Lebara starter kit from Woolworths this afternoon. I tried to port my number from Boost to Lebara without any luck! Lebara required me to choose either a plan or tot up $5 minimum for PAYG plan to continue porting process :(

Mines not processing, says something went wrong.. I've never had this problem before.

    • thats how it goes :P

      • Just want to know what triggers it…

        • How many did you do?

        • luck, nobody knows, sometimes you can do 1 everytime it comes up, sometimes 20

          • @abjsdhasehasee: it comes up on my first try for the last 3 boost sim deals. it’s been almost a month since i made my last successful purchase.

        • Did you vote yes?

  • I've done two of these deals now and neither tracked despite having the Chrome extension, meaning I have to send a claim and get it manually added with a couple of back-and-forth emails. Not as convenient as you'd think.

    • +1

yeah if it doesn't track smoothly, it's not worth it

If tracking has failed multiple times for you, please check the tips in the OP. Do you have an Adblocker or 3rd party plugin installed such as Honey etc? Use the CR app on 4G/5G for best results. Cheers.

  • Ordered 13, 12 tracked 1 untracked, (ofcourse Boost trash support can never cancel or refund order).

had adblock on all of them. same settings. everything just 1 not tracked for some reason ?? IDK

    • +2

If Boost detects Adblock on clicks, they won’t pay on untracked claims. Always turn Adblock off as advised many times. Thanks.

  • Managed to order 10 under same details and card this time (CBA). Last few times using (Lat Gem) had to do 5 under one’s details and another 5 under another’s details.
And the tracking this time had been stupendously QUICK! absolutely amazong 👍
All tracked within <5 secs. Using iOS CR app, connected to home wifi.

  • Initially I didn't get any errors while ordering a new sim but started getting after I ordered over 4 sims. I then started putting in the address manually and then made some spelling changes every time thereafter.

For instance, this time, for High Street South Melbourne, I keyed in, Hig h steet sth melborne and previously used High stereet soth mlbrone etc.

Worked over 7 times and counting..

  • it reverts to $15.33 cashback until 7am tomorrow.

Well so much for that. ("Expired.") ;-)

  • 34 sim cards and $408 dollars later… Works out to be 168% annualised return, with quite low risk.

    • Username checks out. But I don’t agree on the risk. T&C will say they can change their mind anytime.

Some insane numbers of SIMs being purchased here (see above).

Having said that, let me say this. If the cashback gets bumped up to $5.25 in coming days, I will wet my beak again.

    • If people are seriously buying several each time I wish they wouldn't. Buying multiples will eventually kill these deals and I'll have to go back to $9 Lebara SIMs but only when on sale.

      • Boost want to clear these sims apparently. So make hay…

@tightarse Wow, what an amazing story and you are still as passionate today. A belated congratulations! Well done.
Great to hear that the founder, Andrew is a nice guy.
P.S. I joined Cashrewards and got into buying gift cards last year and have saved heaps. Thank you :)

  • Did not track, I"ll reply here as to what happens, I think it's at least a week before they allow you to let them know the tracking was unsuccessful.
Don't know why, I even disabled the honey plugin

    • +1

Honey is a major issue for cashback sites. When you lodge your claim, if Boost's analytics shows attribution to Honey (or any other 3rd party sites), they won't approve the claim. We've had plenty of instances where members believed they had disabled Honey, yet merchants proved they hadn't. This is why I push to use the app as much as possible. Anyway, do let us know what happens. All the best :)

      • I reloaded the page after deactivating honey before going through from cashrewards to Boost, but if Honey somehow got the affiliate fee instead of cashrewards then badluck on my part. Yes I should consider using the app.

    • Cashback was approved manually. They seem to have a better system in place then others when dealing with non tracked disputes

  • How do they earn profits of this? There is no auto recharge to catch people out.

    • Probably to get more people using boost. One month for them is not much. Few probably choose to continue.
Probably different tier if meeting certain numbers and they be classed differently in telecom industry, perhaps cheaper numbers from Telstra? Perhaps if they want to sell the company to show bigger numbers? Just speculating and no facts to support this.

      • +2

I strongly doubt it's about profits at this stage, if it ever was. It's essentially about new sign-ups, because "new sign-ups = growth". And Boost is in a little bit of a catch 22 now because they've offered these cashback deals for so long now and gotten the large numbers in response that to drop them now will look devastating on paper.

    • maybe they're playing the long game to send its competitors out of business to gain a monopoly on the market

      • Like wollies/coles next to a fruit shop?

  • Managed to buy 13 before it starting giving me purchasing errors - "WE'RE SORRY SOMETHING WENT WRONG". A bit disappointing with Boost Mobile's so called "anti-fraud" system.

  • Haven’t receive yet from this Sunday purchase. Anyone still waiting?

    • me neither, seems to be taking longer this time. Melbourne suburbs here

    • Mine arrived yesterday, along with the one purchased on Saturday with a lower cashback. Canberra.

    • Received this morning..

  • only tracked 5/6 purchases through cashrewards.

  • cant activate my 7..

    Something went wrong
We're unable to process the request at this time. Please try again later.

    pops after verifying email code

    • Same happened to mine. Had to go to Telstra shop. Not sure same issues. Boost support told
Me to visit Telstra store. They updated all details and after it worked to activate.

      • argh thanks for sharin

        • +1

As said. Not sure same thing. But that worked for me.

          • @Mikael: @capslock janitor noticed boost app having issues. Cannot show plan and other settings. Might be current boost issue?

  • Did anyone get sent $2 sim packs instead of 28 day ones? I ordered 28 day ones, and even got charged $12 each on card.

Would this affect my cashback? @tightarse
