Not sure. I find them handy on longer bicycle rides, as a practical source of energy. They are calorie dense, and not dry, so they're easy to consume during exercise.

Definitely not… They are full of carbs.

They are great for carb loading on lead up to endurance events, eg marathon but im pretty sure most people here dont do endurance events so not sure why they are so popular here.

@donkcat: KFC Meal Deal apps. We only see a dozen of these each day. Ozbargainers eat like fat children.
I was curious also, so i just bought some from woolies, and then doubled down on the amazon 12 pack. Tried one then and they are quite nice. I can see myself consuming them on longish runs. Would get sick of them after a few hours though, but you could probably say that about anything you are gorging just for the calories.

The white chocolate and the peanut butter are the best.
Surprised they are vegan too (but not advertised as far as I can tell.)
I keep 1 or 2 in my work bag just in case I am too busy to duck out for lunch.
I usually eat 2-3 of these on 15KM+ hikes. They are great.
In saying that, the last few times I bought from Coles, Woolies and Amazon, they had an BBD of Dec 2023 to Feb 2024.
