      Empty ones Thursday afternoon…

  • Could these store drinking water??
    Food grade?
Would the 240kg of water crack it?

    • It's shouldn't crack but if it was food grade it would be listed.

Surely there are better storage containers for drinking water than using bins. I mean, yes technically the bins can be clean if they don't contain waste. It's like storing drinking water in a new toilet bowl. Just feels wrong.

      • I would use it for emergency storage. Not long term. As in if there is a cyclone or fire, fill it up 2 days/ the night before as precaution.

    Good for cheap cold plunges.

Do you reckon I could get two bodies in this and still close the lid? Or are they only really suitable for one victim?

    • +3

Not with Hydrochloric acid added, you would need one per body unless you have a big chopping board and a half decent meat saw.

Cheers. I'm new to this - only really just getting started and building up my kit box.

        • Will I go on a register somewhere for liking your comment

      • I make chopping boards and don't recommend this. There are many "juices" in the human body that just foul up the end grain. Don't ask me how I know this…

There's some blokes from Snowtown that may be able to help you with some of your questions

    • Get a hacksaw while your at Bunnings and play Tetris. I bet you can fit 3+ that way.

  • Thanks, wouldn't mind a handy

  • Hmmm… Wonder if I could use this as a temporary grey water storage to direct some pipes to and then pump out to the garden.

Probably not legal for some sanitary reason or something though…

    • I've seen people use these as pond filters so if imagine that would work
