Tray of 12x 170g punnets of NSW blueberries from OzGroup packed on 12/10/23. That's $5.88/kg.
Some trays might have one or two blueberries with mold; my trays didn't have any and the blueberries taste great. Will have to freeze most though.

These trays would have been rejected from Woolies, Coles and Aldi for mold issues.
As soon as they find any mold in a punnet, they reject the whole pallet which really sux as a grower. Especially if it was one punnet out of the 1440 punnets on a pallet
Thats terrible to know. And to think they've got the audacity to advertise how much food they prevent from going to waste when they're doing such things.
The thing that annoys me the most about woolies, coles and Aldi as a farmer.
We have to do a Fair farms (Fair Farms is the only Australian Training and Certification Program for fair and ethical employment practices on farms) audit every year. Its okay to do as it ensures farm workers get paid whats legally required.
What annoying is that supermarkets say, if you dont pass this audit, we wont sell your fruit. All whilst they get busted for underpaying their own staff!! That's hypocrisy

Thats what happens when you've got the upper hand. And worst, they then play dumb as though the underpaying came as a surprise to them.
So jealous may consider moving to NSW for deals like this

Was honestly waiting for a post like this to come up, its like weve had an explosion of stock in the last month or so, my partner is obsessed so I have a pretty decent idea of blueberry prices, last few weeks they've just plummeted in price.
