Since I missed those two crazy deals recently, any of those deals are not deals anymore.

    • +1

Its still going on by the way. The price is not as great as what the other OPs got but it is still below $1,000

    • That was such a deal I just went the s23. New pixel looks impressive though.

      • S23 base didn't have a deal?

  • +1

    Wow..

This is the real bargain for S23 Ultra - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805885

    • This only works for people with Android phones right? I dont see the samsung shop app on ios

      • -2

You can ask to borrow an android phone from a friend for this and just use your own Samsung account (you can create a new one on the app) otherwise even if you forgo the 10% app discount, all the other youmake, $10% loyalty, $100 from chat, $50 newsletter will still stack and make it a lot cheaper than this.

      • as @CodeXD said, the extra 10% is through the first time use of the Shop app on android, but everything else works on the site

      • +2

I used online, said it was a phone and sent earphones.

        • l o l

        • Have you sent your headphones back yet? This comment says it will be marked as a fail for sending in a different product and will be charged a fee.

          • @8azinga: Yeah I sent it weeks ago

Nothing unless I've missed it on my card

  • Take my money and burn it

    • +1

      Take my money

      My pleasure. Cash please

    • +2

Rubbish battery on the 23U? That's just wrong.
All other points are valid though.

      • -4

The only phone that actually has good battery is the pixel and zenfone 9 10. Because they know how to utilise the Android OS with minimal bloatware. My s23 Ultra is 2 weeks old by midday its at 30% same as s22 ultra.

        • +3

          You have a dud then.

        • +1

And what is your screentime between wake up and 30%?

        • Pixel lasts longer when watching videos or gaming. Zenfone lasts significantly longer and almost double according to online tests. Not sure why people disagree with you but they must be only comparing light tasks, idle usage.

      • That's surprising considering my mother in law has this handset and gets at least two and a half days . Admittedly she doesn't use it heavily but it's used for general browsing media phone calls etc..

  • Pixel 8 pro 256gb and 512gb is same price. If you prefer AI go pixel 8 pro

    • Any word on the heating issues that plagued the previous versions?

      • Mine hasn't arrived and is on back order. Will let you know once I get it.

    • Can you please elaborate?

      • The 256gb pixel 8 pro matches price of the s23 ultra 256gb
512gb pixel pro matches price of the s23 ultra 512gb

        • I meant what do you mean about AI?

          • +2

@John Kimble: Features such as magic editor, audio eraser, call screening, summarise etc.
And now with built in features such as VPN and car crash detection to notify emergency contacts. The phone is becoming more useful rather than just more powerful

          • +2

@John Kimble: Mate, watch a few pixel 8 pro reviews, the AI features are amazing. Hoping Sammy implements it in the s24.

    • -1

Pixel 8 pro camera is not matching for this.
It is not 12 g ram

    • any good deals for it atm?

  • Any good deals for galaxy s23 at the moment?

How can we use the 10% samsung shop and youmake boundle together?

  • In case anyone is after the S23 Ultra 512 I just managed to order one with $500 bonus on Samsung S7 along with $5 trade in plus $100 voucher stacked with 10% first time online buy and $50 newsletter subscription. Cost of phone was $1422.90. I didn't even need to ask for codes. They just offered both after I asked how to claim the newsletter subscription. Made the choice of getting 256MB or 512MB model a little easier. Also, if you take your codes to a store they can process it in store and you can get your phone straight away - they don't tell you that anywhere online. Only thing is you can't get the online only colours of course.

Still expensive considering people got the 512GB S23U for less than $800 including 2 USB's.
Looks like you didn't use the newletter code or it didnt apply properly. If i put a 512GB S23U in cart in app with no codes, it comes up as $1519.60. [($2249-5)x.9]-500.
The $100 loyalty only gives a $90 discount which i suspect is due to the 10% so that gets you your $1422.90 so the $50 newsletter code didnt apply.
If you emailed samsung loyatly, they would have given you another 10% discount which would have taken off about another $200-224 and then add the newsletter code.

      • Thanks - I'll email them about the $50 at least and see what they have to say. There's so many ways to get discounts for everything it's almost a full time job. I didn't see the less than $800 deal. Can you provide a link -then I'll know what to look for next time. All phones are expensive - the RRP on this is more than I can get for my car. I needed to get the phone in a bit of a hurry as I am going OS soon. I couldn't wait for the online colours because they don't ship till late November and won't arrive in time.

And when I email Samsung loyalty (next time) do I just ask if there is a further discount ?

        • +1

A link was posted above in comments. The 256GB S23U with 2 USB's was less than $590.
