    bwt instructions say to redeem code via GOG Galaxy app but can still redeem via https://www.gog.com/redeem as usual.

      Don't forget to try Doom 1 & 2 in VR on the Quest 3 as well! The 'Doom 3: BFG Edition' we also get from this deal contains the game files for Doom 1 & 2.

      Quest users can also play Doom 1 & 2 in VR (+ mods!) due to 'Doom 3: BFG Edition' containing the necessary files ('DOOM.WAD' and 'DOOM2.WAD').

    have had this on steam for ever lol even got the VR version on playstation but can't use it any more becaue requires psvr 1 lol. This was back in a time where it wasn't just about shooting things it was about shock value :D and Jump scares hehe.

    Just redeemed this, only to discover I already have Doom 3 BFG Edition on GOG, too.

    Must have been free in the past, too, I've never paid money for it. Odd they'd give away the BFG edition, and then later, only the normal one.

    (I also have The Evil Within 2, so no need to wait until that's free on Epic, if you got it and forgot, like me).

      I think that you're getting confused. This DOOM 3 that's being given away not only includes the original DOOM 3 but it also includes the BFG Edition. It's all versions of DOOM 3 ever released plus the expansion. It shows up in GOG as both the original DOOM 3 and the DOOM 3 BFG Edition as seperate game installs. So it's likely that you never previously owned the BFG Edition previously as you can't get that separately on GOG. As in you could never buy the BFG Edition separately on GOG. It's one DOOM 3 bundle (Original + BFG Edition bundle). It was released on GOG in October 2012.

        Originally you couldn't use the flashlight and a weapon at the same time. The mod adds a light to the shotgun and machine gun.
        The BFG edition apparently adds a suit mounted light that works with all weapons.
        It really sucked walking around in the dark waiting for something to jump out and try to eat your face while you are busy trying to swap from the torch to something that would do more than just make them blink a few times.

      [GOG forum] (https://www.gog.com/forum/general/doom_3_2004_serial_key_inf…) has this - worked for me

      First, the keys are located in your Library. You must use a web browser to see them though. Go to your games library, find Doom 3, click View Downloads, More, Serial Keys. Both Doom 3 and RoE numbers will be there.
