  This one's too small. Have the much bigger ones. Most have lost their paint but other than that are still perfect after 10+ years , regardless of how many times they have been dropped.

  I have the larger one in stainless.
  Its a good mug but its a pain to clean thus overall I would not recommend.

  Believe it or not, a cheapo one I got 1/2 price from Coles (Smash brand) is actually better and easier to clean.
  Ceramic lined and I've been using it everyday for 6 months with no degradation thus far.

  I only use the Contigo when I've left my Smash one in the car or on site so really only a handful of times since I got the other one.

  Got one a year ago and threw it away after a few uses. My main complains are:
  1. Coffee/hot drinks always gets cool really quickly
  2. Insanely annoying to clean after use, and lots of crevices for coffee and tea stains
  3. This one is a bit of a personal thing, but the opening is too small for you to smell your hot beverage- and I didn't realise how much that actually ruins the experience until I had this mug!! I just don't feel like I enjoy my drinks as much with this mug.

  My recommendation is to go with the kinto or tiger ones when they come on sale, they keep the liquids hot/cold for much longer and you can smell the contents when you drink. Also, for anyone with specific lifestyles, the Kinto is great for driving since it's a perfect fit for the car cup holders and the Tiger ones are great for backpacks since they are slimmer.

  Hope this helps anyone thinking about getting one!

    I second the complaints.

    I got my contigo as a gift and use it only as a last resort. Impossible to clean properly. I just put cold or hot water in it - other stuff is going to stay in the crevices forever.

  Imo this bottle is best for a general water bottle, so I'd go for a larger size. I recently grabbed a Tiger but I prefer the lid on the Contigo for drinking water, even though the Tiger has way better insulation
