Will there be free food and wine?

    • +1

      and will it be good?

      • +5

I don't mind if it is good or bad I just want free food and free wine

      • From my experience at the Melbourne show - yes and yes.

        • Do we only get free food when we booked in for a masterclass?

    • +2

Last time in Bris there was more in terms of booze samples than free-food. You get bombarded with the wine subscription services if you line up for that though.
There's the odd nibble, but most decent food items you had to pay reasonably high prices for.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thank you for posting.

Went with freebie tickets to the Brisbane one last year.

Personally felt like it was a waste of time tbh, minimal samples and crowded booths. Waited inline at every alcohol booth for a few minutes for a nip of spirits or wine.

All the food vendors were overpriced, Gnocchi Gnocchi bros were a prime example, delicious pasta as always but portions were half the size of going to the local one in Paddington and cost an extra 25%.

Even with free tickets for myself, the Mrs and a few friends, we felt cheated paying for the parking underneath..

      Thank you for the review

Good summary and absolutely concur. We also had free tickets, but by the time you add all the stall costs plus the parking we still spent well over hundred bucks and didn't really sense we got much out of it.

    • Was it very crowded?

      • Yeah, I am sure some one posted a free health member code in OZB and it was only for that day and the code was rescinded after a while due to so many bookings. Maybe made it alot more busy than normal.

It was more so in a booth their was one or two people working, trying to sell and discuss a drop to potential customers. When a dozen or so people were lining up for a free sample it became the same at every booth. That paired with the portions handed out (generally a plastic medicine cup serving size) it quickly became more of a chore and a waiting around process for the stuff we actually liked.

The food offering was very poor due to the high prices and small servings. We left after a few hours and had a better outing at Southbank.

      • Very. Very. We pay $35 to be in a crowded environment 😂

I've been many times over the years for free and it's always a fun, loose time. Maybe last year was different?

      • +4

To Brisbane one? This reflects my past experience also

        • Yep! Always heaps of fun.

      • +3

Yep. Always fun. If you can't find enough free drinks of wine to get totally drunk you aren't doing it right.

  • +1

I went last time and there is so much alcohol for you to try. Food was a bit lacking though.

  • +1

Awesome, been waiting for this. So worth it, last year was unreal

    • +1

It was worth the wait! 🤙

went there last years just a bunch of (profanity) pretending to be interested in the drinks but they were not really and you could tell they are just after a quick piss up

only thing interesting was that melted cheese store that everyone lined up for

    probably won't go again

    • You don't gave to be a connoisseur to enjoy wine and have fun.

      • not wine but just young ass teens trying to down shots every stall they went and not actual have an interest in buying the food and drinks

        • Oh I didn't see that at all. Mostly middle aged people in brisbane when I went on Saturday. We went fairly early though.

  • Love it! Thanks OP.

"I'm sorry that coupon 'G2F0W2S3' has already reached it's limit."

  • Awsome. I went last year in Bris for free and it was fun.
I already paid for tickets this year.

  • What competition did the op enter?

  • Is this for one entry only? Or for all 3 days? You know, just in case I didn't quite get (drunk) enough in one visit…

    • As far as I’m aware it’s a choice of one day only

      • Did you get 1 dude, thanks for sending me a msg but never received it on tym.

        • Yeah I tried to tag you to let you know but I wasn’t sure it worked. I was lucky enough to get one

    • You have to pick a day when you order. But the ticket itself doesnt say anywhere what day.
I'm pretty sure you can then use them on another day if need be, but not 100% certain.

      • Go on Sunday as there are limited people and you can try everything 🙂

  • When is the goon bag and frozen pizza show?

    • +1

it's every day if you want it to be

  • Lucky guys, never thought it would get sold so soon. Any 1 has a Citi card, happy to pay for 1 ticket if some1 can help.😔

  • Does anyone have a spare ticket and know they can't make it?
    Thanks 😀

    • Welcome to Brisbane mate, These tickets got sold in a matter of 2 hours yesterday & I expect every1 would be attending being free booze

      • I've got a Citi card…dm me. I'm not sure how the Citi card works for this but I'm sure you'll explain hahah

      • Hey mate it’s up again!

    • You can get one now it's working.

  • +3

The deal is still ON just purchased one

  • How many people are allowed per ticket?

  • Thanks for this! It's working now and I got three tickets! Of course I have to do this three times —- only one ticket each time!

I attended today, lots of alcohol to taste for free just get a glass for $10 and it's unlimited tasting of food and drinks. I was drunk.

  • Currently at the expo. Short queues. Lots of samples available. Im driving later so skipped 75% of the alcohol stalls (a lot) . The Smelly Cheese stall is extremely popular.

    $0 entry. Great day out

    • Went yesterday - the Smelly Cheese stall was indeed popular (got myself a snack from there). The Barossa winery area was full of people, so I avoided that area and went to chat to (and sampled some wines) the local QLD wineries instead. Didn't feel the need to spend the whole day there, but was a good afternoon out.

  • Any other code? No tickets left :(

  • Any more lucks folks??
