VTOMAN Jump 1500X 828Wh 1500W (3000W Surge) LiFePO4 Portable Power Station $683.23 ($666.15 w/ eBay Plus) Shipped @ vtoman eBay

140
TOPH20TOPH22

This deal is back and quite cheaper than before. These are really good as an all-in-one solution when going out camping to power appliances/electronics, use as a jump starter, UPS, powering CPAP machines and more. Much easier than mucking around with some batteries, solar panels, inverter etc.

Some of the main highlights of this is the 828Wh battery capacity with durable LiFePO4 cells, 1500W output with 3000W surge split across 3 AC AU plugs with a pure sine wave inverter and 2x USB-C PD 100W ports with pass through charging.

Other features include 2x DC 5521 (12V/10A) and 1x car socket (12V/10A) plugs for output, 2x DC 5521 plugs for input (200W Max), AC input, support for 200W solar panels with built in MPPT and 4x USB-A ports including 18W QC 3.0 fast charging.

If you wanted to expand the battery capacity further you can buy extended batteries (650Wh or 1548Wh) from the dropdown [in this listing] that connect directly with a cable.

Disclaimer: I sell batteries for a living, so please take my post with a grain of salt. Also, I have no knowledge of the internals of this battery, so can't comment on it specifically.

What I did want to say is that many of these types of batteries seem non-compliant from my interpretation of AS3000 (unfortunately Australian Standards are terrible when it comes to clarity and availability).

Again, I don't know about this battery in particular, but for many batteries like this, segregation between 240V and 12V is insufficient to comply with the standards.
The positive thing that I do have to say about this battery compared to some other models is that it uses LiFePO4 cells rather than NMC which are much safer. I'd never want an NMC version in my house, garage or car, but the fire risk posed by LiFePO4 is lower than that of lead acid batteries (again, in my opinion).

Should this break forum rules as I'm somewhat of a competitor (we don't offer any product similar to this though), please delete this post.

    • This is useful information, could you go further into how they're non compliant and any issues stemming from that?

Is it a case of simply doing things slightly differently without any inherent risk added, are you saying they're segregating the 240/12 for some safety reason?

Im not familiar with AS3000, I'm just trying to understand why it COULD be problematic.

      • Would love to know this too @RubenM - wondering if it's a potential genuine fire hazard or more of an efficiency/product quality issue.

  • Just a note that this doe not appear have an AC to DC converter built in so you need to have a power brick to charge it.
Does anyone know how much extra is the the jump starter adaptor is for this unit??
Would be interested to know what the performance is in the Aussie climate.

    • ebay listing says that it comes with the power brick, but imagine your point is that you have to carry the brick as well if you want to charge from AC.

  • I need something like this to power my 15L brass monkey car fridge, but maybe a cheaper model will do..

FYI, I just "made of offer" of $800 and it was accepted. Applied 22% discount to the offer price. $624 total.

Then stack your favourite gift card cashback for extra savings

    • Thanks for shearing. Not sure if it is only for me. I realised all the vtoman sellers in eBay are the same person. and my offer never got neogtiated. All the sellers just returned me with the original price at exactly the same time. Felt i'm fooled:( Maybe I'm just unlucky since you've got accepted with $800.

yep - no joy for me either. I'll wait to see what else comes up in the sales.

Maybe I was the first to make an offer. Oh well…

        • btw, I found this deal seems be pretty good. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204372836976. ($559.99 with solar panel) you can also stack up with the 22% off to bring it down further to $436.79. It's a smaller volume one tho (299wh). looks like equvilent to Vtoman Jump 600X which is selling as $439 now (previous deal could bring it down to 322.87) by it's own without solar panel. 600W and 298wh volume and LiFePO4 battery (for 2000-3000 recharge cycles) for both. Please ignore me if that's not what you are after.

Hey, thank you for the bargain and just to confirm that the seller accepted my 800 offer. As I am not eBay Plus member, I got it for 640.

Thanks for sharing your screenshot. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Coz the seller just returned me with the original price. I ended up to get the other one from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/809961 with higher volume (1484wh) for $704.67 (ebay plus). btw, the ebay plus is only $9.99 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/808968) for a year right now if it could save you more than $10 on the purchase. could be a deal

      • Same here back and froing with seller of VTOMAN just countering with ebay price, and then upped Ebay price Ended up buying VoltX 1500W which has much larger battery capacity and also VoltX website responds quickly when you ask questions about their products

        • +1

Exactly the same experience here and bought the VoltX as well which, on paper, looks like much better value anyway. Time will tell.
