    Excited to here reviews!

  • Same with the singapore noodles and beef ragu pappardelle. Glad to see at least one of the grocers dropping prices back down on some items after the inflation blowouts.

So this is normal price then?

    • +1

Well they're still $3.65 at Coles.

  • I tried a couple of these and there was virtually no meat. Just sauce and rice. Wouldn't try again.

    • which couples specifically ?

      • Satay and butter chicken

Spaghetti Bolognese and Mac & Cheese is good.

Butter chicken tastes OK but no meat

Stay away from singapore noodles! Yuck!

    • are these frozen meals?

      • yes

    • what about beef ragu ?

      • haven't tried that before. but i'm guessing the sauce is the same as spag bol.

        lasagna is good

  • beef ragu and singapore noodles good feed and low calories, good for anyone cutting :)

    • Surprisingly low calories for the amount of weight content compared to the 260g On the Menu versions.

Religious ate the Butter Chicken back in the day when it was $2.99. I would usually microwave it alongside a serving of frozen vegetables (beans, peas, corn/carrots).
    Declicious.

    Coomer meals

    • Not enough protein for a coomer meal

  • Having said that i don't think i could cook this for $3/serve

  • I swore if Aldi ever started to shrinkflate their 200g chocolate I would stop buying it. Looks like that day has come, for some anyway.

    • What alternative is there for a 200g block at $3?

      • I was in Aldi last night, most are still 200g so looks like I over reacted.

    • Weird that each flavour has had different reductions instead of -15g etc across the range.

Finally! I keep these (usually satay chicken and butter chicken) in chest freezer for my WFH lunches when I'm busy with meetings 🙂

Big fan of these as a quick meal. You'd be hard pressed to find anything that has the same taste/price/fill you up ratio as these.

  • Don't like the taste of their satay chicken prefer Coles or Woolworths.

The lasagne is where its at though

Unfortunately not back to $2.25 though. Used to be an occasional cheap filling lunch option for 2x @ $4.50 instead of other $10+ stuff lol.

    Just tried the butter chicken.
Pretty decent especially for 3 bux, however needs a bit more salt/flavour. Rice is mid (for Asian standards). ok amount of meat considering the price.
    Would buy again

  • are they ready to heat meals

  • is ti still going ??

    • Yeah it's their normal everyday price for now. Just pop them into the microwave, no other cooking involved.

  • Deal is over, they are $3.29 now

    • Wow really, thought this was supposed to be a more permanent rollback after the earlier massive increases.
