I remember getting HJ’s as a kid when they literally had a grill BBQ out the back and some kid pressing mince balls by hand onto it.

Burger, chips and drinks have all shrunk so much in size and without a voucher nobody chooses to go here unless you’re starving, tired or drunk.It’s been 35 years of being a consumer for me but they can’t even blame inflation anymore for this.
The food is shit now, the prices are terrible and the specials give you less for more money.

Never been to HJ since they increased their prices from the $4.95 small whopper meals.
I believe they are following the Maccas model of trying to make their menu appear more “premium” to increase their profit margins overall.
Probably some maccas execs have moved to HJ and are replicating the model from few years back.
At least McDonald's and KFC put out decent deals in their apps every now and then, hungry jacks not even trying.
I love these deals as they are helping me stay healthy due to being a stingy bastard and not buying HJs in the last 6-12 months of price hikes.

The burgers taste wet and sloppy and the fries are just so dry.
The prices on these are obscene now. Last night I fired up the shake and win and got the bacon deluxe. Even that has gone up to $5 now. Go to Carl's Jr and get the Angus for $5.
Anyone else have had problems with their online payments lately? I had an order that had an error yesterday which refunded straight away, but had another order today that didnt go through that didnt refund. Manager gave us a number to call but they arent open today. Will it refund automatically within 24 hrs like it says on the website? We used paypal.
Last time I went to HJs they gave me they gave me my order twice (a family pack), I told them and they said it was fine. Huge value but now the bar is set impossibly high :/
Don't mind the bacon and egg Turkish roll with hash brown in the morning but the rest aren't really deals anymore

The bacon tastes more like thinly sliced ham, but the egg tastes nicer than mcmuffin.

I think.. they are pre-cooked/flamed before being frozen but I don't live in the supply chain. I do know 100% they either broiled like u mentioned or pan fried in store.
They're not pre-cooked/flamed before being frozen. They come out of a box bright pink (raw) and if you let one fall on the floor and don't pick it up within a few minutes it turns into a puddle of mush pretty quickly.
The broiler is basically a conveyor belt that goes through a really hot flame, and the marks that you get on the burger patty are natural from the bars on the broiler chain. Think of it much like cooking a burger patty directly on the rack in your oven.
There's no special lines painted on the patties, the way they come out is just from the cooking process. On the box it says 100% Aussie Beef. I am sure there's salt and other ingredients in it, but I don't have a full list. I don't even think it's printed on the box (it never used to be when I was a teenager).
I’ve worked there too in the past @bonezAU is correct it’s a raw beef patty that’s cooked over a gas flame on a conveyor belt. Your comments aren’t true

Next time I'm in I'll enquire with the store I am currently visiting to confirm these details.
I was under (which is why I said I think) the impression the flame grilled marks were on pre cooked or something. I'm 100% on them being pan fried if not broiled and I know this with certainty cause the manager of a store at a particular time in the past invited me back to show me burgers being pan fried at that time since I showed an interest.

Anyone know why the vouchers don't include NT and Tasmania, have they been removed from all vouchers?
The previous voucher set, that's just expired, excluded TAS for all items and WA for a few of the items. Now the new vouchers are excluding TAS and NT for everything.
I'm thinking it's because there isn't an actual office for NT and TAS / volume of customers for those vouchers to be worth it
Its amazing to see how much value has been lost from these vouchers in a short 5 years. Heres a set of vouchers from 2018. Inflation or not, some of these price increases are ridiculous.

Click on the rewards button at the bottom. Currently it has vouchers for a $6 whopper + med coffee, and $6 for a double cheeseburger, small chips and 3 nuggets.
@ZmbHntr: a few deals, like the ones you mention, have long been on the H.J.'s "Rewards" section. The previously available H.J. coupons were in addition to those rewards and were more numerous.
