Good deal. I would have jumped on this if I didnt find a cheaper Corsair. BNIB on FB Marketplace. Also note these come with sleeved cables so you don't have to purchase an additional sleeved cable kit or extension kit like you would have to for a corsair psu.

  • Seeing few complaints about noise with these, based on the specs I assume it must be a QC issue because <=26db is pretty quiet

    • Must be, because the 850W is actually quieter than the 1000W. It's 19.8dBA at 100%.

      • I had 2 1000w's for both a 3090 and a 4080 build. The BQ cpu coolers really got me into the brand way back so did some of their earlier PSUs.

These ones look and feel like the best quality units I've ever purchased, however the experience has been pretty poor. Tested power draw at the socket (less 400w peak total usage on the 4080 build) and there's a very pronounced clicking sound constantly.

Swapped with Mwave under customer support for a new one which worked well for about 3 months before the same issue rearing it's head again.

Unsupported claim*: My gut feeling is that there's something about how this unit is made with the new gpu connector that causes this.

    • if u want quiet at this quality level get the FSP one

That (profanity),is like 40db at 85 percent load..

    • bequiet! i guess not :)

      • It's weird the testing shows

the BeQuite Straing power,is quieter than this one…but this is more premium model..so weird

At this price point it should be as quiet as the FSP that's half it's RRP

  • Ok I really wanted one of these but the reviews really scared me off buying one, I dont want a rattly fan humming away, the old PSU im using now I cant even hear it :o

    • Same, I have a 10yr old Corsair ax860 with hybrid mode, I'm not sure the fan has ever turned on.

    • Corsair RM850X Shift fan never turns on ever :) my system does max out at 220w

Reviews are not looking goood, anyone have one currently/

  • I posted a comment in the 1000w deal about the noise and got negged. Not sure why ppl just negged someone when there is a high chance of QC issue. For a top tier psu there are plenty of other options out there. If a titanium one has more issues than a gold one, why would u still get it
