    I have used everyday pay option before this promotion and still got the bonus points yesterday after boosted the offer on my app. so it's not for new customers only.

    Has anyone had any problems with using the "5% Extra Value woolworths gift cards" (e.g. like: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/818309 ) with Everyday Pay in the Everyday Rewards app ? I recently setup Everyday Pay, added credit card and one of these gift cards. After I scanned the QRCode at the checkout counter before scanning any goods, my app said something like: "everyday pay not available, use another payment method", or something like that. My internet seemed to be working ok at the time. Just wondering if the gift card might have been the cause of the problem. Woolworths staff member did not seem to have any idea on the cause.

      if buying gc through Everyday Pay, think it doesn't support.

      sometime POS may not work as I met a few times, had to change another POS. for GC itself, you can simply test to pay by GC directly.

    Do you have to add credit card or just adding gift card do? Also if you have to add both, where would it first take money from, or does it ask you when paying up?

    FREE shopping when Everyday Pay failed!

    Boosted this offer. Added Visa card to Wallet.
    Also boosted targeted 2000pt for $40 shop.
    Importantly, had $40 of Rewards Dollars to redeem!

    Went to use this tonight at very quiet time…
    Asked for assistance, as never used Everyday Pay.

    Went to pay $40.10. Redeemed $40 Rewards ok.
    Then selected Everyday Pay in Payment screen, scanned the QR code…
    But it then got stuck!! Wouldn't let me pay 10c by Everyday Pay. Showed cryptic message & wouldn't proceed.

    2 staff tried for over 10 minutes. Opened up machine. Tried tricks to get it to reset. Screen showed it had done that, but was stuck. Finally they agreed self checkout machine needed to be shut down.

    Self Checkout staff member explained I'd paid $40 by Rewards. Luckily he'd witnessed as was helping.
    Senior staff said as only 10c owing - bye.

    Of course as transaction was never completed - no payment was actually made.
    Everyday Pay transaction showed cancelled in Rewards app.

    $40 still in Rewards account🎉
    Of course no bonus pts added😢

    Free $40.10 shop! Back tomorrow to try again!
    (Still want my Bonus pts!)
    [But requires staff who don't understand the payment system near end of hot day🤔]

      thanks. Planning to try today as well…that teaches me to pay all by everyday pay given some money left in gift card. one question, back camera on my phone if bit flickery, is there any other way to trigger everyday pay or just QR code?

        That was my first time, so lack experience!
        Scanned in Rewards app ok for me, but it's a new phone.

        Give it a go. Maybe on just a cheap product.
        Ask for help - but staff are unlikely to know.
        Contact Rewards & ask for 500pts if it doesn't work.

          update: worked on one phone. The other one where back camera was playing up, couldn't get working. And staff had little info than i did abt everyday pay.

            @s0805: Staff rarely know about Rewards.
            I've educated staff at my local. They're amazed what good bonus offers are available!

            Earnt 7000+ bonus pts last week on $40💰 (3000pt on $30 spend, 2000pt on $40 spend, 2000pt for $1 spend - stacked in 1 $40 shop!)

            Almost as good as yesterday's FREE $40.10 shop!

      Tried again today. Struck same problem.

      Staff were confused. Again 2 staff couldn't solve, but knew better than give me $40+ free😄
      They saved items, took to service counter, still couldn't solve.

      Paid the 18c owing by card. Bought something cheap to quality for $2.50 back (500pt). Was no problem.

      Think redeeming Rewards Dollars before selecting Everyday Pay caused the problem.

      Don't know if can redeem Rewards Dollars after selecting Everyday Pay?? That's why staff suggested this way.

      After redeeming Rewards Dollars, System goes to selecting payment method to pay remaining amount - Everyday Pay is a valid option. Scanned QR code on register. App connected to stored Visa payment.

      Message was something like No qualifying items before checkout machine stopped working. Needed to be shut down.

      (There glitches interest me - potential ways into a system if you're into hacking or saboteur😉)
      Will forward details to Woolies to improve the operation of Everyday Pay.

      As I mainly pay by Rewards Dollars, don't think I'll be using Everyday Pay again!
