A true ozbargainer would eat his/her lunch in 20mins, the make the most of his money by using the table for another 40mins and sipping free water :D

This place is all-you-can-eat… A true ozbargainer would eat his/her lunch for the entire 1 hour, then sip water after that.

      • Ozbargainer or not, the stomach has a fixed capacity.

        • +3

that sounds like a challenge to me.

there i say, a true ozbargainer would eat for 1 hr and then try to pocket food out!

u can sit and sip water or else you'll end up paying the extra $10 for going over ur time limit.

      • Why water? There is Chinese broth/soup available IIRC.

  • The TRUE Ozbargainer would broden all the food they were able to acquire from any all you can eat place….

You are all nuts, but I like the spirit

  • A true Ozbargainer would bring an extra bag, with full of empty take away boxes in his/her bag…… ofc if u get caught is a diff story :P.

  • Yep it's a bargain. New wave Smorgies but old wave quality

I'm a true ozbargainer, I will fast 24hrs before going in Monday Lunchtime next week!

btw for anyone interested in going, the online form hasn't been properly set-up, the "Submit" button doesn't work. I boooked with coupla mates via phone.

Also, this deal has 1hr Lunchers sitting upstairs, so ozbargainers will need to stack their plates (& their mouths) full each time they visit the buffet spread!

    • Dear Whitenite, we have just tested it on our end and it works, if it's still not working just come in and we have an ipad which you can use to fill up the form on the spot. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

not really thrilled with all the exclusions at lunchtime. nothing left but slop that would be cheaper to buy made to order in china town. and you wouldn't be treated like crap in a different part of the restaurant. who's to say if all the dishes will be ready at 1130? if you wait until stuff you want to eat comes out, you may end up with 15 minutes to eat.

"Nothing left but slop …" Haha, I'm a "regular" at CB Burwood, and been to the CBD branch thrice. I enjoy my food, and sure won't return to joints which offer poor food/treatment. Suffice to say, me + my mates/family have bought 6 booklets CB Burwood, and 2 CB CBD, total about $2.4K worth of vouchers. At $19 for 1 hr lunch, I reckon it's pretty good value. Altho the Lunch vouchers from the booklet work out slightly cheaper at around $16-17.

      • I have looked at the exclusions at lunch. I don't see the point when the good stuff is excluded. I don't eat a lot. I'd rather not eat lunch than eat standard fare just because it is all you can eat.

no seafood, no grill, no duck, no sashimi, and those are just the exclusions I can think of.
