    5 units only? GTFO

    • +1

      They ended up having 10

  • any 13400F builds?

  • NOOOOO I MISSED THE 13900
    FAAAAAKKKKKKKKK

    • There were only 10 units. Everyone missed out.

  • I happened upon this and got in on the second drop of the i9 deal, thanks for the post. I am a bit early in my research process but wanted to fulfil a specific productivity requirement where I need to drive 4K screen(s), as well as the capability for mid to high end gaming down the line. It was admittedly an impulse purchase. Will this system do the job for a good few years? I noted also the BPC deal posted elsewhere in the comments seems to use a slightly better processor. Thanks for any advice.

I9 is about same performance as 7800x3d in most games. Better for productive because of more cores. 4080 GPU should be fine gaming at 4k for number of years.

You are fine. Only thing i9 lose is it is more power hungry and hence produce more heat. But this pc does use a 360mm aio cooler so should be fine for even i9

      • Thanks, that is helpful. My work requirement is fairly CPU-intensive so I will just have to cop the heat/power consumption.

    Disgusting hunger marketing.

    • The Hunger Games' marketing ?

      • Hangry people

        • I wasn't hangry enuf 😞

  • keep the temperature down, that's how a good deal becomes a bargain.

  • linux system

  • Any thoughts on the cheaper build? When an 4080 is normally $1900 to get a full build for $300 more seems like a bargain.

But I don’t know anything about the PNY brand for graphics or Adata for storage - if they are half decent or not?

    • Decent.

  • @netsurfer any recommendations on what changes to make besides the ram and ssd to the i9 build?

I have a PSU (Corsair rm850x), Crucial P5 2tb ssd, corsair 4000d icue airflow at hand. Keeping the ssd for sure, not sure if I should change the case and PSU as well. Not a fan of the motherboard either but happy to keep it as upgarding everything will be too costly.

    • i9 build already sold out when I look at this page?

I thought that MSI PSU is good. The dual colour cable for the 16 pin PCIe 5.0 connector is good (so you know it is fully plugged in). Giga Aorus Z790M Elite AX seems decent enough as well.

      • Thank you! Luckily, got it while in stock yesterday. Was just wondering what changes to make besides the ram and ssd.

Also, that's good to hear! Since Corsair was rated at A grade PSU, I thought it might be better to upgrade. But they seem to be on par from my research.

        • MSI A850GL (well MSI A-G) is tier A and it supports ATX 3.0 (I am hoping / thinking GL is just a minor revision update with a dual colour cable). Corsair rm850x needs a converter cable which should be included with the GPU (unless you want to buy a Corsair cable. With the MSI PSU, it has that colour cable for the 16 pin connector, it is quite handy and hopefully, it is proper ATX 3.0.

  • @luketechfast any chance we can upgrade the ram on the i9 system?

    • There was an upgrade path to 64gb. Probably best to reply to your order confirmation and ask them to change it.

  • Confused.. Are these all sold out? Cant see them on the website

    • Correct. The post has been marked Out of Stock since yesterday.
