How do you get it for free?

You download the app, open it and go through the onboarding.

Then you have to create an account, fake email should be enough. Nothing more is required.

Then click on the field for lifetime access with 0$.

And that's it. You can reject the permissions, they are for the licenses with advertising. You can also reject the tracking that is mentioned in the App Store.

      Do you read the description?

      You can reject the permissions, they are for the licenses with advertising. You can also reject the tracking that is mentioned in the App Store.

        That’s not quite how it works afaik.

        “Ask not to track” is more like “please don’t”. It doesn’t actually prevent tracking if the app is determined to use naughty API’s and do cross app tracking.

          according to apple, if you choose Ask App Not to Track, the app developer can’t access the system advertising identifier (IDFA), which is often used to track. The app is also not permitted to track your activity using other information that identifies you or your device, such as your email address.

          LOL! You do realise that the App Reiew Team have automated scans of an app binary for any private ("your naughty") API usage, which results in summary rejection of the binary when submitted for review?

              @cooni: Yes. They are using a different mechanism (such as Keychain and iCloud sync) to revive the data after an app re-install.

              For example. I delete the Skype app, and re-install it. I would expect to be prompted to login again, but I am automatically logged back in.
              Like you have said, there are many more examples of this.

              This is not the same issue as one app using the IDFA to track you across other apps.

                  All I have said here is if you use private/unlisted APIs within your code base your binary will very likely to be flagged by the App Review Team.

      It's an iPhone/iPad (iOS) app. Macs with Apple Silicon can run iOS apps, but the app would have been designed for iPhone/iPad.

        See the most recent comments they say it's still free. Why you negged on something that it's probably something that you are doing wrong?
        If the lifetime free doesn't appear to you. I would recommend to uninstall and reinstall again. That might work.

    Already downloaded before, but not installed.

    Installed, saw the free option, tried with temp email, verified email.

    Once loaded into app, it still appears as basic version.

    How do you check if you have a lifetime membership please? I can't see where it says that I have a membership, even though it said that it was ok.

      At the top right corner, click the Avatar. Then look for Premium just above the Preferences. If you cannot see Premium which you can click on then it’s already Premium.

    I just downloaded the app to my iPad and signed up for the free account. The onboarding process showed 2 options - a monthly paid option and lifetime free option (minus Marvel). I selected the lifetime free option. Was easy and worked as of 3:35pm 19 Nov.

    Worked for me. Before account creation there is a screen where there are 2 options: a 7 day trial or FREE unlock everything (except Marvel)

    Excited for this in case I am able to get an iPad for drawing! The first time I'd skipped the option because it was a bit hidden off to the right and my brain is programmed to skip all those annoying intro screens in apps. So I made an account and then there was no option to find the free offer. After a bunch of trial and error deleting the app, trying other things, making more accounts I eventually I got it to work by following these steps:

    Open app
    Select the free offer in one of the initial screens (its off to the right a bit beside the green 7 day free offer)
    Make an account but make sure your password isn't too long or with weird characters because I couldn't sign back in and I suspect that is why (I reset my password and it worked)
    You'll get an annoying popup again but choose "basic " in the tiny grey writing
    Then it will go back to the screen that you chose the free offer
    If successful you should get a screen with a picture of a red gift saying congrats

    The entire app is locked down

    Even if you try to click on the paintbrush it asks you to buy a licence
