good deal. only the resolution of 1366*768 make me down.

  • I thought Asus Zenbook UX32A (i3-2367M, 4GB 320GB at 1.45kg) for $537 is pretty good deal. I wonder how easy it is to change the hard drive to SSD yourself.

    • looks reasonable.. voids warranty..
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqe1-X_klr4

      • Thanks. In the video it seems to imply voiding the warranty of the drive rather than the laptop itself, as you need to crack open the case of the SSD.

  • Great deal for the HP laptop just bought one.

My god I wonder what other goodies will be on clearance leading up to Win 8?

Kiss my credit balance on my cards goodbye hello new laptops!

Also better than JB Hi Fi's sale. It really did go under $600

    Samsung NP350V5C-S02AU — $577.80
    Core i7-3610QM
    4GB RAM, 750GB HDD
    Radeon HD 7670M

    • Hope you have better luck with the HP M6 if that's what you bought. Worst laptop. It was bought for me. 2 Units became faulty pretty quickly. Good thing I was able to change it to a different Laptop altogether.

    • Judging from every week specials from different retailers, we may even see this goes below $500 before xmas !!! Pplease keep these good deals coming, the cheaper the better !!!

  • Might be a silly questions but I don't really know much about computers and stuff..

Why does it show 640gb HDD but also 750gb HDD?

Which one has the best specifications after the discount? Samsung?

  • the M6-1009TX can be had @ shopping express for $620 + $9.85 normal shipping or $19.95 with insurance atm —> http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/81310

what's interesting though is it's 7760M graphics card.. it's not yet listed on http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark… but i would guestimate it's performance between a 7750M and 7770M which are both faster than an nVidia 640M

    good deal imo

otherwise get the sammy if you don't really game

    • +1

i was checking it too. i think it might be a typo. maybe its a 7670m

      • nah i don't think so cos 7760 is what's written on HP's website.. i suspect it'll be a new release.. if you check notebookcheck's benchmarks, there are no scores for them yet

  • The ux32a looks like a decent uni laptop.

Is it a 2nd gen zenbook?

    • yeah mate the "2" as the first digit in the cpu model number means the generation

edit: sorry you're asking about if the actual ultrabook is 2nd gen.. not sure about that sorry mate my bad

      • +1

I think you answered my question anyway, the 2nd gen models should be ivy bridge I believe, which would mean the ux32a is a 1st gen zenbook with sandy bridge, I should have looked at the CPU :P

        Thanks :)

The samsung deserves its own post.

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80715 -$60 cheaper than this one.

Crazy cheap- im guessing a runout before windows 8 comes out.

  • Is the samsung any good?

  • Discount overload…

The predictions have come true. Now the dilemma isn't so much the price (I can forgive $50 overpaid in a few weeks) but the bang for buck. My requirements of a 3rd Gen i7 for $600 or less have been met but now the question is whether I could get much better specs for the same price by November (though a slight upgrade in the screen quality is all I really need or expect based on current mid-range models).

I mean with so many 2nd Gen still being sold you'd think quite a few 3rd Gens will be left by November, right? Unless the RRP for the upcoming Windows 8 notebooks have been set low and we'll be sold 2nd Gens online at inflated prices for a while.

  • is this deal online only? Would the Bing Lee store give 40% off their price tags?

    • Offer only available online using the coupon code but you can select to pick up in store.

  • tried the code and it does not work

    • Which model are you trying to add?

  • +1

sorry my mistake typed wrong code in. works ok

  • got the local JB to price match so I can have some fun on the weekend lol.

  • Are all these deals on laptops recently really just because of Windows 8???

  • Does anyone know how long will it take to ship to Victoria

    Just to clarify this:

    HP Pavilion M6-1009TX — $645.60

    •Core i7-3612QM
    •4GB RAM, 750GB HDD
    •Radeon HD 7760M

    Is misadvertised everywhere.

I went in store to confirm the graphics card and it is just a 7670M

Decided to cancel my online order via phone and had to wait till the next day for the guy to confirm whether or not my story is true.

No offense to Binglee but if I place an order online and decide to ancel it the same day and the order hasn't been processed yet I should be able to cancel it with no questions asked.

    • HP M6-1009TX does come with a 2G(ddr3) 7760M. They problly looked at the wrong spec sheet when u go there.

        Graphics
ATI Radeon HD 7760M (2 GB GDDR3 dedicated)

        • I've been looking at this model at JB Hi-Fi and Good guys, both say that the graphics card is 7670M
However the Bing Lee site says 7760M, so maybe they just put a different graphics card in?

Also online is it a 750GB or 640GB? Because on my computer it's coming up as 640GB

          Thanks

I'm amazed this deal is currently scoring less than 20. The Samsung alone was >80 on two occasions and the price is now a further ~$50 lower…..

    I bought the Samsung.

  • The HP is the best deal, even if you hate HP. It is all Aluminium, except for the bottom. The Samsung is all plastic. Unlike the Samsung, the HP has pretty decent speakers for a laptop. If you bought the Samsung you'd really need to use USB speakers or headphones all the time. Only gripe is the shitty screen that is expected in such a cheap laptop (but no worse than the competition at this price).

    • Have you bought the HP by any chance? pinoy received 2 bad ones so I was waiting on more info about faults. I've also reached that stage where the default screen resolution is getting to be an annoying setback for cheapskates like me. I have some software that needs at least HD+ (900p) to just accommodate the workspace, which is fine when connected to a monitor at home but frustrating if you feel like working at the beach :)

My limit is the 600s but I prefer the same current specs (whatever the mystery/mis-labeled? graphics card is capable of) but with HD+.

      • you shouldnt be working at the beach

  • when i try to add the samsung laptop to my cart website won't let me saying:
"Please specify the product required option(s)."

    Any ideas?
Tried selecting postcode, extended warranty etc.

    EDIT: sorted it out

  • How did u sort it out I am having same problems "Please specify the product required option(s)."

    • I struggled with this for ages yesterday, in the end I had to register and get an account. Once you logged in with that it will allow you to add it to your cart. Hope this works for you!

      • I did that, but it still says the same problem. However, when I tried the Toshiba, it works.
        Out of stock, perhaps?

        • I had the same problems, I clicked add to cart from the list of the laptops, then add to cart again. Not sure whether that's a solution or just a fluke. I also had to make an account with them

  • Rep is the samsung sold out?
when I try to add to cart comes up:
"The requested quantity for "Samsung - NP350V5C-S02AU - i7 4GB RAM 750GB HDD 1GB GR" is not available."

    anyone else with this?

    • same

      • I can still get the HP in my cart, so pretty sure samsung is sold out

  • I bought the ASUS 15' for $533.40… :)…

  • I bought the HP one, thanks for your sharing this info.

  • Coupon code "GET40OFF" is not valid. Wrong model :-(

  • +1

limited stock for samsung. The requested quantity for "Samsung - NP350V5C-S02AU - i7 4GB RAM 750GB HDD 1GB GR" is not available. :( cant add to cart.

  • i made the order this morning for the HP one, but unfortunately they informed that no stock at all and will try to restock. at same time i can see the website still saying instock!

is this some kind of marketing tricks?

    • just received my laptop this morning. it is shipped from Old Guildford…didn't expect it could be that fast

    • Now that you got the laptop can you confirm If the graphics card a radeon 7760 or just a 7670?

      • @#$@#^#$….i checked today, it is 7670M.damn!

  • Ordered the hp on monday night ,via mastercard, status says still processing saying they need to verify the card ?? Any body shopped from them before ? Wish they had advised before i bought the thing that they take ages to verify if bought from a CC..
