Didn't need it but got one anyway.

  • +2

    Damn OOS in 4 minutes.

  • +3

Not sure who modified my original post but the 16gb+512 model is still $100 and in stock ($250 -150)

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0C6LX7SC2/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • You linked the wrong product.

      • There's 2 listings for the same product but different prices. I linked the cheaper one originally

        • No you didn't, you can see in the revision - the link is to the more expensive one.

          • +2

@RichardL: Oh maybe, i was in a rush to get this out as quick as i can I must've copied the wrong link. TY

    • +6

RAM is soldered on these I'm pretty sure, making the 16gb one the better pick imo.

    • +1

Thanks for reposting the link - that's the pick of the bunch for $99!

      Awesome deal - many thanks.

  • +1

What do you guys use this for?

    • Simple Office stuff + youtube when I dont want my power hungry Gaming rig on.
I also setup alerts etc on my mini pc to find these deals :)

      • Which app or website do you use for alerts, DM please

        • See my response below

      • Please me too

      • Me four

      • Me zero ;)

      • -3

when I dont want my power hungry Gaming rig on

The PC is only drawing as much power as it needs to use, so if you're not gaming it'll draw the same as any other PC…

        • +1

Maybe still. But high end components, multiple fans, water cooling pumps, leds, noise and heat, etc etc, it's not going to be low, and overkill when not gaming. I love my mini pc.

          • -1

            @WarriorZ:

            But high end components…

They only draw what they need, and if you're not gaming or doing intensive CPU/Graphics it'll be pretty much the same as a regular PC.

it's not going to be low

It actually is. I'm typing this on my gaming PC with a power meter attached and it's bouncing somewhere around 40W which is just over 1 cent an hour.

            • @1st-Amendment: I'd put money my main rig is consuming more than 40w on idle even with the lowest power setting. Even with all fans off the pump alone is louder than the mini pc.

My mini pc draws 8-10w with 4k YouTube and almost dead silent.

              Anyhow, each to their own.

For those interested there's a couple ways. Obviously camel camel camel is the easiest for Amazon alerts but not the quickest and doesn't include coupons.

Secondary, I have a look at the Amazon deals > Upcoming page once a day and usually, if a product has a coupon attached to it, then it might accidently carry over when the deal goes live. This is where you find the best bargains. You can watch a deal and get an alert on your phone when it's about to start.
        https://www.amazon.com.au/blackfriday

Thirdly, for more advanced users or non Amazon stuff, I use a chrome plugin called distill web monitor. It can watch the code of any webpage and alert for changes or matches to your liking. This was helpful when trying to buy computer parts and ps5 consoles during the covid shortage.

        Good luck :)

    • I'm leaning towards some kind of container / docker server.
I might make her the sole plex machine in the house but I'm not sure.

I actually don't need the thing, I am about to go from 4 tiny PCs to 7 in the next 3 weeks, plus this is 8

  • +2

    Resisting….no use for me.

  • -7

    Got 2 lol ty

  • Use/redeem coupon code ZIPBFS on checkout by paying with ZIP to get extra $10 off. Brings it down to $89.

Spend AU$150 with Zip, get AU$10 off. Enter code ZIPBFS at checkout. Discount by Amazon.
Get AU$10 off when you spend a minimum of AU$150 with Zip. Enter code ZIPBFS at checkout.

    • +2

What's zip? Is this another one of those after pay things

    • -2

Zip had security breach right. Dont have and they perform credit check.

  • I think it's already finished

Oh it's the 8gb only got it

  • Do i need it? No…
Then why buy… Still $100 is a price tag. Control spending on what is not needed, telling myself. Ordered but then cancelled. Just tell myself BIG NO
    Its a trap

    • The coupon is such a tease

      • +3

Spend $ 100 and pile up. NO

  • +1

    Coupon is gone

  • Cheers Op, been looking every day.

Out of curiosity is there a way to get a notification from amazon when these go on sale? I had them in my wishlist but didn't get there until I saw your post.

  • so quick, it's gone while I was processing the payment.. No luck..

    • yep, they sold both of them ;-)

  • Thanks, managed to snag the 16+512 for $99. Been seeing these deals pop up, but they were a little too much for me to pull the trigger when I'm not sure what I'll use it for.

    • Hey Mate can you please share the screenshot of the invoice showing 16gb for $99? that will be great help

      • Haven't got one yet, will see how I go once they generate it.

        • Thank you. I will wait for your dm

      • -1

        I have this.

    • 16 + 512 was $99? How? I ordered the same one for $135.99:(

      • +1

Sold out pretty quickly, I think the $135.99 was listed after the $99 sold out. Based on recent sales $135.99 is still a decent price I think.

  • wtf coupons gone already tooooooooo slowwwwwww
Big deal save $10 with zip

  • I don't get it where do you see the coupon?

  • Its showing 250 for 16 gb.. or if its supposed to show 100 gift catd not showing that too

  • WHERE IS THE COUPON?

    • +1

      deal is finished

  • Anyone know what voltage these run on?

    • -2

      15w slightly higher than n100

      • +2

Found it input DC:- 12 Volts @ 2.5 Amp

  • Can anyone please send me the screenshot of invoice for 16gb with $99?

    • Me too please

    • What do you do with invoice?

  • Got the one for $135 os is it worth it ?

    • Yes, definitely worth it. I bought one for $135 before seeing this post. I was going to buy another one and cancel my previous order, but it was out of stock at checkout.

  • ……Waits patiently for the next deal refreshing OZB page every 30 seconds

  • +1

    Argh!

Always miss these. Didn't check ozbargain for an hour and that's what I get. Need to set up some alerts

  • +3

Are these deals mistakes? Like they reduce the price but forget to remove the coupon?

There's a Trigkey N100 I've been watching for a while. It's usually $359 and there's a $100 coupon. Now it's dropped to $251 for Black Friday, but the coupon is gone. So not much of a deal really. $8 less than normal

    • Like they reduce the price but forget to remove the coupon?

      Yes

      • Lol, they seem to do it pretty often

        • +1

I wonder how many times would it take to learn. Unless they are doing it intentionally

          • +4

@abs898: Creating a coupon for a product isn't instant on Amazon. It takes about 4 hours for it to become live after creation. Chances are they forget and have gone home by then.

            • +1

@Clear: That's understandable but repeating this mistake almost every week, you would expect they will learn from it.

Bump the price and pop a coupon on, or reduce price and remove coupon.

Every such error washes their stock. So clearly they must still be making profit out of these low prices.

              • +2

@abs898: There's no profit being made at this prices considering all the components inside. If it's intentional then it's simply a loss leading strategy and it's working. I'm sure they'll be the top in the category on no time.

                • +2

@Clear: Exactly, ram and SSD in itself will cost more than $99

    • +1

Perhaps it is a marketing manoeuvre - have two or three coupons, and they get sold and then get people to look at your product?

  • +4

I was just going to buy the Intel i5-11320H for 273 but the voucher disappeared it was a mistake they reduced the price and realized they didn't remove the code .I'm getting old and slow.

  • +2

Why do I always miss these deals when I genuinely need one…. Grrrrrrrrrr

    • +1

I think it is the law of bargain hunting.

  • What is the actual performance of the SSD on these?
Judging by the information on the listing it is slow for an SSD.

    What about the WiFi?
    It just says dual band.

    • +3

SSD is M.2 so it's slower ~ 440Mb/s but can be replaced with NVME.
Wifi is okay ~ 450Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and up to 1300Mbps on the 5GHz band, make sure to update drivers.

      • it runs sata speed. even with an nvme drive

        • +1

No. I just put a NVMe in and installed WIN11pro - it runs at PCIe gen 3 x4, 1800MB/s

      • Even if you replace it with a NVMe SSD, due to Intel cutting cost on the CPU, the slot is wired to PCIe gen 3 x1. You will still get SATA3 like speed.

        • WOW!

Do you know if this is the case with the N100 systems?

I did some searching and didn't find any obvious information on this. Just that they have the same number of PCIe lands.

I would never have thought that Intel would have limited these systems to such a "slow" SSD speed. I am glad I bought a second hand Dell EliteDesk as it supports at least 1300MBps.

          • +1

@whats up skip: Sorry, getting conflicting information. There is a youTube video showing 1500+MB/s read/write, which means it could be wired up as PCIe gen 3 x4.
Need a owner to replace the SSD with NVMe to find out.

Below is an example of a N100 based mini PC's CrystalDiskMark. It doesn't look like that PC wired PCIe gen 3 x4 to the m.2 slot.

Beelink EQ12 Intel N100 - CrystalDiskMark result (NVMe SSD)

            • @netsurfer: Looks like it might vary between motherboards/systems. That makes it very complicated then.

              • @whats up skip: Also, do check reviews on these. I watched a youTube review on a low en Kamrui mini PC (cannot remember which one), the SSD is at the bottom of the PC. The reviewer was careless and accidentally broke one of Wifi antenna cables.

  • +4

Always missing out, always too late, wuwuwu T_T

  • +3

I stay up till 12am watching the n100 variant like a hawk.

Then I see n95s with 16gb 512gb for $99. Couldn't believe my eyes…. bought 2 after a bit of fluffing around to make sure I wasn't buying something wrong cuz the price was so low.

    Bought 2.

Sold out 8 seconds after they were posted here.

    • I was the same, looking at the N100's just before midnight, hanging there for a deal.

Then I went off to look for some batteries I needed and completely missed it haha

      sadface

  • Intel 12th Gen N95

Woah it's got that covid protection too.

  • Thanks OP. I managed to grab one of the $135 machines to have a play with and maybe setup as a torrent machine. Any feedback on using it for torrents?

    • Should be just fine for torrents mate
I've heard people using these for hdr video playback and for setting up NAS. Can't see how torrenting will be an issue.

  • +4

Spewing, the $100 sounds like a true ozb deal, buy it and then work out what to do with it. Grats on those who got it.

    • Keep an eye on it mate, that's what I did. You might get lucky on Black Friday.

  • My $99 AK1Plus is showing as shipped…I thought for sure they'd cancel it

  • If I was to buy one, my choice would be the 16GB RAM 512GB storage model even if it’s refurbished however it’s a shame they’re all out of stock atm. I’m sure Black Friday deals will rake in the folks buying and when they do make sure to apply the coupon on checkout before purchasing.

  • what the hell the one day i dont check ozbargain, i was literally talking about this 2 days ago on another post

  • Can you turn these into a photo file server (google photos equivalent) i.e. photoprism or immich? Would you run Truenas, OMV or just install docker for desktop?

  • +1

Received mine today will unbox it and set ip up tonight
