    Why not just get a v8 dyson? Cheap battery options, replaceable parts, sturdy etc

      How much is v8? Found it around aud 378. Hmm lighter too 2.5kg. not sure power compare with xiaomi.
      Why the absolute v8 cost much more? Pretty much same spec with v8

      because it's more expensive and doesn't perform as good as my G10. Xiaomi parts are cheap on AliExpress too.

    I've got a G10 from a couple of years ago but the battery is useless (lucky to get 7-8 mins before flat) and can't find anywhere that has replacement batteries

      my G10 is 2 years old and still does around 30mins. check AliExpress for new batteries.

          Dyson batteries die every couple of years too lol that's why they are considered replacement parts.

            @lostinsydney: no one's refuting that batteries don't die in handheld vacuums, they all die sooner or later depending on usage and that's why replacement batteries exist. I've had my original G10 for 2 years now and haven't had battery issues so far (only got the G10 plus because my 4 year old damaged the wand and brush head of the original G10 so retiring it to car duties only), whereas with the Dyson V8 before I had to replace its batteries every 2 years and its suction power wasn't that great even with a new battery.
