            • @melodrake: Try chatting through the app and speak to someone else

  • just got approved @ 15k limit, so its still possible guys! Took around a week including a phone interview on day 2 of waiting

    • Took me 2 hr for them to fully approved.

Unsure if i luck out or have all my doc ready.

  • Does anyone know how long after you receive the $250 credit you will receive the bonus points?

I already received my $250 credit few weeks ago but still no bonus points.

    Card approved on 2nd February.

    • The $250 is credited as soon as you hit the required spending, whereas I received my bonus points along with the base points a day after my statement date.

      • Is that the second statement?

I hit the required spending before the first statement but didn't get the point at that time.

        • I hit the required spending in the 2nd month so yes it was the 2nd statement for me. Maybe wait till the 2nd statement comes out for you and see if you receive the bonus points or not, and if not give them a call.

@firestint: @gembel I hit the spend a few days after getting the card but didn't get the points until after my 2nd statement.

  • Has anyone ever applied for this card and the rewards card back-to-back?

    • Yes, almost every year since 2020.

  • +1

Put my application at 11.50am AWST.

    Fully approved at 12.50pm AWST.

    Fast!

Got the bonus points today with 2nd statement.
Asked to cancel via chat and will be refunded the $370 annual fee. Not the $55 rewards anjual fee.

    • Good stuff mate - did you hit the $5k spend within the first or second month? I just got the card and hit the spend, hoping points and rebate will be attributed after 1st statement

      • Did they tell you to close the account on internet banking or did they close it for you via the chat?

    • I just asked via chat and this is their answer:

Hi how are you? I hope everything is well! šŸ˜Š

It's sad to learn that you are wanting to close your account, but we do respect your decision.

I checked on your card ending in xxxx for the Frequent Flyer Black. The account was just opened last 23/02/2024. As part of the terms and conditions of the card, the annual fee is a valid charge and irreversible.

If you would like to proceed with the closure, can you please provide me with your contact details below?

What is the secret to get it refunded? Shall I call?

      • sounds like so many have asked for refunds they've decided to stop it

Anyone managed to apply for this credit card without having waited 12 months? I.e. applied at like the 10 or 12 month mark.

    • +2

Why? That's just risking it for no reason

      • Did it with NAB after folks reported it worked. So yes genuine reason to ask.

    • +1

I waited about 2 days after the 12 month mark. Got the bonus points already and cancelled with annual fee to be refunded.

      • Did you also get the lounge passes before cancelling?

  • I hit the spend in the second month but when second statement came I haven't received the cashback or bonus points. Anyone else had this experience?

    • +1

Are you sure you hit the spend? The $370 AF and $55 reward program fee don't count

      • Yeh even called them to confirm spend was hit and apparently it can take up to 3 months after you reach the spend…

        • +1

I am in the same boat as well. Met the spend in the 2nd month but didn't receive the points in the 2nd statement. I believe some users have reported that cashback/points are credited 7 days after the statement is generated, so let's see if that happens.

    • Have you got your points yet? I got my second statement today and I'm in the same boat. Spent $4.5k in statement 1, and $2.5k in statement 2, so easily cleared it but no bonus points or cash back.

I don't have any lounge passes either. Do you get them after hitting the minimum spend or how do you get those?

      • +2

You can get the lounge pass on day 1 itself of getting the card. You need to call up and request them.

    • Been 7 days and still haven't got the points or cashback, hopefully it will come through in the 3rd statement

      • Have you paid off the $5k? Think that's when people say it'll come through

  • +2

I'm not sure when it changed, but the offer shows to me as 90000 Points , with 40000 points extra after 12 months & only 200$ cash back now.

    • yeah, anyone knows if i apply before it changes, but not getting approved yet now, and if I got approved, will I get the old offer at application date or the new offer at approve date?

      • You will need to contact ANZ for this, but looking at the T&C

        1. Offer is for new and approved credit card applicants and is limited to one offer per applicant.
  • ANZ backend system is a mess. I received $250 back in the second statement which is correct. Received another $32.17 credited to my everyday account a few weeks ago, just received a letter today that ANZ has apparently only given me $225 back when I should have received $255. So $30 plus interest back = another free $32.17.

This is after I've closed my credit card and requested for the annual fee to be refunded (yet to happen as I need to wait till the next statement to come through to get them to credit the excess to my account).

  • Got my $250 cashback today, just a week before the 3rd is to be generated. Had met the spend before the statement was generated. Still waiting for the bonus points.

  • Hi all just got my points today. Iā€™m planning on asking to cancel and get fee waived. May I ask whether you also requested the lounge passes before cancelling? Thanks

    • Did you get it on the day your statement was generated or few days later?

      • Few days later

        • Thanks, just waiting for my statement to generate probably tomorrow hence was curious to know if I will get points tomorrow or would still need to wait few more days.

          • @dealsgrabber: Last month I got points on 11th March (20k extra bonus for signing up via Qantas). So just see when they credited last month. Should be around same time.

  • One more data point that it can take forever for the bonus cashback and points to come through (the online not says you have to wait up to 3 months after hitting the required).

    Opened 27 Dec.
    Hit required spend 22 Feb.
Received promotion 250 cashback 8th April.
Still awaiting bonus points. Likely 23 April if it comes with the next points allocation.

    • I think I'm on the same rotation as you on this. Received $250 promotion on 5th April, statement will be generated on 23rd for me too.

      • you gonna try and get a refund of the annual fee once you get the points?

        • I'll definitely try haha but I'm not expecting to get it

  • I just received the bonus 100k after receiving second statement. I hit the spend within first 2 weeks of receiving the card. Now to request Qantas passes and attempt to ask for refund on annual fee šŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

    • report back about the fee - bet you they bend you over.

Just received my $250 promotional credit after hitting spend limit into 2.5 months. Now waiting for the 3rd statement for points..
