  • Haven't tracked after ~34 hours. Hopefully Ebay / Shopback honour this still, since the $20 cash back was still active when I signed up. Currently the cashback at Shopback is "unavailable".

    Tried to lodge a claim and enter the details, I click the next button, and it doesn't progress, so I can't even lodge it.

  • It's very strange. I received confirmation email for joining eBay plus and even the $5 voucher received each month. Just tried to use it and says I am not a Plus member and there was an option for me to sign up again with $9.99??

    • Might take a while for the payment to be processed, so maybe that's why it's not recognising you yet. I paid with ZIP and it was pending for a few hours before being confirmed.

  • Hmm… Just realised I didn't even get a welcome email or an invoice from ebay for the sign-up. It doesn't even appear when going here: https://www.ebay.com.au/ebayplus/home then "edit membership" -> "view invoice". Anyone else in the same situation? If so, then perhaps this is ebay's fault more than Shopback's.

  • I only joined eBay plus because of this shopback $20 offer.
    I had to lodge a claim, and it was rejected as they said it wasn't tracked.

    This is so frustrating, I logged into SB, the SB button on my browser turned green and everything looked ok.
    Not sure what else I can do, as I did everything as I would usually.
    It was showing in my click history and everything looked good.

    • Just got the same response from Shopback and I joined using the Shopback app so there should be no issue with tracking. I wonder how many else of us will also get the same response

        I reckon there's been a problem and they may have oversubscribed, gotyourback always responds quickly, and this time there's silence.
        This is unfair as we followed the rules and they simply deny payment.
        After this, I think I'm going to ditch SB and just use cashrewards instead, never have a problem with them.

        • Yep exact same scenario here, rejected for no apparent reason despite submitting proof.

          Definitely think it’s time to ditch SB… not the first time this has happened.

      I'm guessing eBay realised the overlap too late, but decided to reject all commissions anyway, so Shopback just shrugs and go "not our problem".
      Except it is Shopback's problem, because the $20 was Shopback's offering and we jumped through all their hoops. I doubt there's much recourse for us, but to me, this just pushed Shopback's reliability and reputation down to trash tier…

    My transaction was also not tracked. Submitted a claim and it showed up in my account as tracked for only $0.40. Just use the chat function to speak with support and complained. I now have the whole $20 showing as tracked in my account.

    • You are luckier than me, I had to provide proof of purchase, and they are now going back to eBay to check.

  • Rejected despite proof as well, received the generic reply. Tried appealing, they claimed that it was "attributed to another marketing channel" via yet another generic email.
    What a load of BS. Sorry, have to neg this deal since Shopback is not honouring it.

  • Mine also didn’t track and claim rejected even though I had all the screenshots showing I joined eBay plus via the shopback app, all within a minute. Replied to rejection email and they just give the standard response. Cash rewards and Topcashback has better customer service with honouring missing cashback, will just stick with them for larger cashback deals in the future..

  • Mine didn't track, I raised a dispute, they responded with:

    "We have now received the cashback for this claim and would like to make you a manual offer to resolve your claim. Please click the button above that reads 'Accept offer, Close claim'. The cashback will then be added to your account at Payable status."

    I closed it and then, nada…

    I think topcashback is just dodgey overall, won't be using them again…
