      These third party ones should make one that run on 2xAA batteries, so it can be kept in the car and run for years.

        These are much louder than my AirTag, but the tone isn’t nearly near as pretty and nice.

    I was going to say there is a web version of "Find My" at icloud.com.

    But that only shows "devices", not "items" such as airtag. That is seriously an arsehole move. The Chief Arsehole may be dead, but the practice of treating customers as enemies lives on.

  I got some from AliExpress, cheaper and works fine. Here is the search of all the Bluetooth GPS tracker from AliExpress. just need to look at ones with "Apple Find My" compatibility/feature.

    You can. AirTags work by other phones detecting it and reporting the location to Apple. The 60m would be referring to how close a phone needs to be to notice it.
