  • You should mention these are brand new but box damaged.

  • Last experience with samsung was horrible on ebay with damaged boxes sale

    • Care to share? My previous Sony box damaged sales were great. Products were brand new box undamaged

Ours never arrived took 2 months to get money back.
It was very famous samsung deal on Ozb

Had same thing happen, stay away

  • I don't understand why more tablets aren't OLED. Surely the main point of these is watching videos?

    • +1

Probably just to force you to buy the $1200 one.
But I think OLEDs only make sense if you're going to sell a lot of devices to make use of economies of scale to bring the per unit cost down, and android tablets don't seem to sell that well per device.
It might work if they reuse the same display on multiple devices for multiple years but electronics manufacturers act like they'll die if they dont meaninglessly change the design of their device every single time.

      • +2

Can't believe my Samsung smartphone had an OLED screen in 2011, yet the same company can't manage to put one in a RRP$899 tablet in 2023.

        • They got to sell sonehow, they make the dusplay how much does it cost them

    • +1

they're reserved for the flagship models.

    • +2

That’s why I’m stuck with my Samsung tab S5e

I have one of those as well and currently looking at upgrading. Mine is bogging down and getting slow. Not sure how yours is going.

        • I'm in the same boat. Ended up in this post looking for what to upgrade to. :-) Maybe a second hand s8?

        • Very sluggish these days. I was thinking about throwing a custom rom on it. Probably get a couple more years out of it with better performance.

          • +1

@Ronnnie: I did that with my Tab S2 and I didn't get that much more out of it - I think it was Lineage. Was buggy and still slow.
My friend recommended the Oppo Pad 2 but it's sold out and selling for way more than the Samsung FE on eBay.

Anyone else find it funny that the official Samsung Outlet eBay store has a rating of around 70% positive?

  • -1

Slow SOC compared to even the cheapest ipad 9th gen.

  • +3

Before purchasing, read all the negative feedbacks!

Just like AliExpress stores rated under 95%, OzB should be banning Samsung eBay deals

HTF do you get a 71% rating and not have eBay shutdown the store

Edit: no wonder, Samsung are too tight to even use Couriers Please/Amarex and use Australian National Couriers

Might as well start delivering 75" TV's with Uber Eats

For the Samsung bean counter at AU head office struggling to negotiate a delivery contract with DHL, do better

    • Might as well start delivering 75" TV's with Uber Eats

      I lol'd

      • Soon we will be eating TVs

  • +1

I was keen to get something like this until I saw those reviews!

  • Any recommendations for a tablet around that price point or a little higher? Basic use (no gaming Photoshop etc) with occasional use with a clip on keyboard.
*Without the 71% review rating for the seller!

    • Also looking. I guess I'll end up with either a xiaomi or lenovo, deals are coming quite often.

  • exxy is not as good as snapdragon

  • +1

The sheer number of negative reviews, make me not even wanna buy anything new from official samsung website anymore
