  • Someone could work out the cost of this at woollies to show whether this is a good pick up - 'looks at jv'

    • +1

Shouldn't compare to woolies they are always way more expensive than a fruit and veg shop

looks like it would cost around $40-$50 at a decent fruit shop…

i don't get my fruit and veg at coles & woollies, i don't like mouldy 'fresh' food…

      • I used to have the same opinion as you JV, but ever since Woolies brought out their trolley with a $3 fill it up yourself bag, with some of the freshest fruit & vegies ever, I've changed my mind!!!
Some trips I easily get 4-5kg of various fruit & veg, normally in 2 bags, so $6, & some of those things would add up to over $30…. & none of it mouldy!!! Much fresher than the local fruit shop!!

        • I would rather not eat fruit and veg that's been in cold storage for 6 months

        • And what? You believe the local "fresh" fruit & veg shop that actually charges more than Woolies & Coles in my area, doesn't keep their stock in cold storage?? Why do you think tomatoes at any f&v shop are cold & rock hard?? Or cold & soft inside? Cause they've been frozen!!

        • I have seen Oranges that were in Cold storage for over 2 years.
          Apples for ages also.

  • Only for VIC, please update title

  • it doesn't really seem cheap for what you get,. I wouldn't think I would pay $55 for the same in any fruit/veg shop. As mentioned above, a comparison would define if this is a deal or just advertising

    • +2

I've reported it as SPAM as the Rep hasn't identified any discounts from their normal price.

      • Don't report it just neg it

is this a discount on normal rrp? otherwise,no deal and just an ad!

Hello rep. On average to what weight does this " produce" deal amount to? Kilograms please.

  • I think it should cost around $35

  • +1

atleast there is a replacement to woolies and Coles who are killing other farmers. Glad others could survive.

  • This looks pretty expensive. Could probably pick this all up for about $30 at my local produce store.

That is the stingiest box of veggies I have seen.
Whoever buys only 500g of carrots? or 2 onions?

A friend has been getting a regular delivery like this, but they say a lot goes wasted, and they run out of what they want. I can see why.
The fruit box makes more sense, as you can just eat whatever fruit is in season.
Still, how hard is it to stop at the local F&V shop on the way home?

some of the freshest fruit & vegies ever,

At woolies? Around here, all they & Coles seem to care about is the cosmetic condition. They want blemish-free fruit, but don't care how many months it has been in cold storage.
