I recieved mine today, nice size and works well with AIMesh with the GT-6000

  • The xd6 can be picked up for 399 in the Black Friday sales. Wondering if I will notice much difference between two on 50/20 fttp nbn? Coverage is the main issue I have currently.

    • 50Mbps is a pretty low bar. Spec wise these should be more than fine if you have proper placements of the satellites. I would think xd6 is overkill unless you are at the limit of wifi range or need higher lan speeds.

      • Thanks, this is what I was thinking. I will likely need to upgrade to higher speed plan soon but that 50/20 has been ok to date.
I really want the Wi-Fi to extend more strongly through the house and outside too if possible. I thought a single good Wi-Fi 6 router like the asus 82u would be a good option but saw this and thought mesh might just be a safer bet. The xd6 has more lab ports which is good as I plug the tv and consoles directly to our old modem currently.
Asus seems appealing over say deco for the inbuilt security and parental controls etc

  • Can they work straight away if connected to the ONT of opticomm service?
    Thanks

Yeah plug in the Asus router to the OptiComm ONT.

  • Unsure about opticomm.

I can recommend these. They worked great for me.

  • Bought the xt8 from Amazon, hopefully it covers the whole property and no need to buy more…
