Adventure Kings 2x3m Side Awning + Mounts $108.95 + $30 P&H @ 4WD Supa Centre

70

I know these guys are having a sale every day but I've been trying to get this very specific awning for a few weeks now and this is the cheapest I've ever seen it.

The size works best for me because it's only 2m wide (not 2.5) but it's 3m long so it extends out quite a bit.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2023

  • I dunno mate I reckon 2.5 x 2.5 makes a more usable shade area than a thin strip.

I agree, but the trailer I'm building is short at only 1.6m long, so I can't have that much overhang… Hence the very unique and very specific requirement :(

      • Ah ok makes sense. Well at least you can use stuff designed for a 3x3 gazebo like side walls and tents attachments. Massive positive there.

Oh yeah! I actually hadn't considered their side walls yet.

I got a tarp for the floor from another company that makes high quality, high strength tarps..

Do you reckon a side wall is easy enough to setup and pull down when only camping for 2-3 days at a time?

@the-rabs: Side walls just Velcro on to the vertical gazebo legs and across the top on the gazebo frame. Given you only have one vertical you would need a clip on pole to give you a third side.

One with a C clip on top that you can peg at the bottom. Like this:

            • @Buyingcrap: Bloody helpful, thank you so much!!

                • @Buyingcrap: I have a Coleman instant up 4p tent which I love, and a dune 2p swag, which I think should easily fit under this (and be protected fully if I get the side wall)..

I like this idea though, it would make one hellova rig if I go this way..

Next most needed purchase is a couple light bars for inside the trailer box. I'm still working on the rust / paint though and the 12v setup is the last part of the project.

gotta be one of the worst physical stores to shop at. the staff latch onto you like leeches and constantly try to upsell. the sales targets are palapable

    • +1

So this explains why their website is constantly upsetting and why they have things on sale pretty much every day of the week..

I just get only what I need and only when the price is low enough for my liking, and online only lol..

      • +2

I think they do that as it adds confusion. Like battery deals where it’s hundreds cheaper if you get it with a cable or light. Also stops people from being able to track prices over time like camelx3

        • I wonder how accurate their "lowest price it's ever been" claims are…

          • +1

@the-rabs: If you reduce the price to the same lowest price every 1.5 months, it's still the lowest price ever. That's probably how they get away with it..

            • @D0nny: Or perhaps drop the price by a cent or two?

              • @the-rabs: Borderline dodgy in any way. I think they've been in trouble with ACCC due to this practise already.

                • @D0nny: It really is frustrating to us consumers. As I said in my OP, I've been watching the price for a couple months now, and it's hard to just get the thing I want for a reasonable price, with no bullcrap.
