  • Unlocked?

    • Is that still a thing? Last time I bought one outright it wasn't locked.

  • Anyway to purchase without having a Telstra plan?

    • when purchased outright

might need an existing account, but apparently no plan needed?

    • +1

You can purchase outright, no plan needed. Just sign up for a Telstra ID. Or get a price match from another supplier.

  • unable to purchase via reward store…

something went wrong just like BOOST mobile

  • Do apple online store or officeworks match / beat price with Telstra? Just want to Combine with discount giftcard.

    • Last time I used TGG to price match no problem, so worth giving the others a shot.

    • They will probably weasel out and say you need to be a Telstra member

      • Thats what JB said and refused to price match. Good Guys refused as below cost.

I just called JB and will price match instore but they have to put it through their Telstra system which means you can't use JB gift cards etc

To create a Telstra ID, you need a Telstra Account Number or Telstra Phone number. Plus I had a Telstra ID from many years ago, when login using this, asks for same info to continue

Amaysim still has iPhone 14 128gb cheaper @ $1099+$30 for plan which can be cancelled.

    • or get the prepaid so less hassle to cancel

  • What’s the better phone apple 13 or 14 and dates both came out?
Is there a big difference from the 13 and 14?

Myself and wife use the apple se 2nd edition I think it said as trade in worth $75 lol rather give it to my daughter to use etc.

Is this only available to purchase once from Telstra or can I purchase two?

We are both on boost wife recently recharged up for another year and mine is due close to Xmas time which will cost approx $200 plus depending on deals with boost at time.

So our sim’s should work with this regardless.

Can you get this money off when buying these phones as well as using the points? As I have about 19,000 probably makes no difference to the cost anyway.
Just wondering if we both can take advantage of this offer and upgrade to something newer at least

    • This may help when comparing the three phones.

There isn't much difference between 13 and 14. The iphone 15 makes some jumps with camera stepping up to 48mp and USB-C over the lightning cable.

Yes you can buy more than one. Yes the points come off the reduced price, so should come down to around $900. Purchase via the Telstra rewards store.

I'm not a Telstra customer so used a friends ID.

  • Isn't 128GB too low for usability for atleast a few years?

    • That all depends on how people use their phones.

    • +1

Nope my Partner has a 64gb SE and it's still got 15gb so even this 128gb will be fine, my android is 128gb and still have plenty of space. I don't play games really only do short videos and pictures of my kid. YMMV

  • Looking at buying one for my mum for Christmas. Trying to choose between the iPhone 13 listed here for $949 or an iPhone 15 128GB for $1300. Is it worth spending the extra $350 for the 15?

    • For me personally, as my mum not a techie person, iPhone 13 will just be fine

    • you will retain good resale on 15 even after 2 years but 13 may not be the same.

      • Will he really be concerned of a phones resale value since he's buying it for someone else though

    • +1

Well, guess you gotta ask yerself - how much do you love your Mum?

    • I went the 13 for my wife, upgrading from an old SE from 2020, unless your mum is an advanced tech user will she really notice the $350 difference

      • Nothing different than signing up to some other website…

Got this iPhone 13 phone this week. Can’t believe how fast it is for a 3 year old model. Amazing.
