  • which OW did you go to? did you just show them the website?

    • Anyone of them should price match (as long as they have stock).

      • +1

thanks, did not know they would price match costco

      • Costco typically has lots of stock.

        • OW needs to have the same model and colour in stock to price match.

  • +3

I went to OW Bondi junction. I just showed the website, needed to be in stock so I got the black one.

      • -8

        Share receipt

        ATO won't like that.

      • +16

        Any chance of some manners?

        • It's not OzManners. You should know that.

        • -5

Did I say prove it by receipt or not? By providing the receipt with the identifying details blurred or greyed out, we can show it to local OW if they dont price match

          • +2

@yummycoot: I don’t know if I should bother explaining really, but you’re more likely to get the result you want by asking nicely and politely instead of… whatever your comment was.

          • +2

@yummycoot: Perhaps something along the lines of - Thanks OP! Would you mind sharing the receipt if you are able, so that we can show to the store?

            Wasn’t that hard was it

  • +8

No savings on any other storage size or model at costco. Just this hamstrung 128gb 15 pro

    • No that’s not correct - the 256gb iPhone 15 Pro is also reduced by $50

      • +1

That was the costco price since launch

  • +1

Surprisingly iPhone 15 can be discounted so soon after the launch. Was on sale at Amazon a couple of days ago as well.

OW price match is bonus, price guarantee part is more than the discount.

Ages ago Kmart had a price guarantee that it doubles the price difference, picked up a Brother LH-2140 for like $50 and used it for 10 years. Good times.

    • +1

Ngl that story was pretty cool. Would read it again in 3days and 15 mins time

  • tempting

  • +1

Lots of issues with iPhone 15 pro that’s why. I got it and having so many problems with it just read forums

    • +3

      Do elaborate

    • +5

Here we go again.. what problems lol

      • +4

quite some comments on heat and battery issues. Tempting but Im hesitated.

        • +1

Buy at officeworks and see what their return policy is? I've had no issues since launch with a 15 Pro Max.

        • +2

Got mine since launch. None of these issue or maybe I’m just a lucky winner

        • This was addressed in a recent update.

        • There are absolutely 0 problems with my phone. No battery or heat related issues. That is what a warranty is for.

    • Could you share your experience
      Thanks

      • +12

My first experience was when I was 17 in the back of a station wagon.

    • +2

I think the overheating is overblown. I've had my 15 pro max since launch days. No issues whatsoever. There's been a few iOS 17 updates since launch which have addressed some bugs. Don't think it's a concern anymore.

    • Is the problems just associated with the iPhone Pro and the regular iPhone 15 is fine? I am planning to upgrade form an iPhone 13 and waiting for a boxing day offer

      • It was fixed though software as far as I know

      • It's only during the first 'run in' period.of the phone where it's doing a lot of indexing of your data on the processor. Once this process is complete it's clean away and becomes normal. Just high performing CPU doing it's thing and the titanium body making the heat dissipation a little shit. Nothing of major concern tho.

    • They usually “fix” it by kneecapping it, usually after all the reviews are done and published online.

      • Yes exactly, the recent updated gimped the performance of the new cpu , what’s the point

    • lol not problem anymore mate, software updated.

    • I've returned my iPhone 15 Pro for a refund - the camera took worse pics than my iPhone 13 and often quite grainy. Seems like others online have experienced similar so I decided not to replace it and will wait for the iPhone 16 instead.

      • Yep same here, iPhone 15 pro, photos and videos are worse than my iPhone 11 Pro

  • This is GWM ;)

  • +3

I just learned that 128GB filled up real quick. 256GB and up are the ways to go.

    • +1

For an $1800 phone you would think it'd have SD card support

      • Most expensive phones don’t

        • +1

Yeah it's unfortunate, just feels like it's going backwards in technology when you remove both SD card support and aux cord support without having to spend $50+ extra for the adapter that allows it

          • @lookingforadeal7: Yes and no I guess. Easy to plug in usb storage, internal storage is crazy fast, water resistance is obviously improved with less openings.

I would prefer the old sim and sd card slot, and maybe just for photos and videos but after processing in local storage.

      • If you want that then buy a different brand and don’t expect the Apple quality or features

      • That’s not how it works. Just transfer them out to other cloud storage

      • Then people would complain when they drop it in the pool and it stops working.

    • +2

Cloud storage to the rescue? Pretty cheap monthly, I would say..?

      • -1

Yeah I used up most of my 200GB already…

    • 128gb pro models don’t have 4k prores, just fyi for those who care

      • Whats this? Why do other memory models have this

        • Ridiculously ginormous resolution pictures and thus huge file size. So you need a lot more storage.

  • +1

Tempting…if one is upgrading from iPhone 11 or below I reckon….

Upgrading from iPhone 13 mini isn’t worth it much I reckon
What - usb c, Dynamic Island and slightly noticeable camera improvement would do for ordinary daily use? Don’t game on mobile either…. (Wish iPhone 15 came in a mini size though..)

    • +1

Action button too, which can be handy.

      • Not the action button… for $2k.

        • Yes on the Pro and a Pro Max the action button is standard

    • +1

Upgrading from an iPhone 8 😬

      • That would be a worthy jump I reckon lol

  • +2

    Best wait for 16

    This version has issues

    • +8

The 16 has major issues. Nothing works

      • If it’s more of the same…. Sigh…

Pixel 8 looks pretty good…. Its feature set are looking better than the stale iOS - despite iOS being relatively smoother

        • Most pixel features aren’t available in Australia, so that isn’t great at all

  • how to people find officeworks to price match? can you do it online? all the shops seem to be out of stock for ages!

    • I've just called them in the past. Never had an issue.

      • +1

called them and then managed to get it online at that price or sent out? or still only if the store has stock

  • +1

Thanks OP. Was able to price match at JB and use discounted (15%) gift cards.

    • I thought they don't match Costco because of membership??

  • Can I get apple to price match this?

  • I'm pretty sure the overheating/battery drain issues were due to a bug in the Instagram app. That was patched pretty quickly after launch

Phone will still get pretty warm and battery isn't the best, but it's got a pretty damn powerful chip in there, so not surprised

Was looking for an iphone for a family member. Ending up getting the iPhone 13 128GB for $949 from Telstra outright. Whilst I was looking I put together the cheapest pricing both listed on this site up to now and that I could find currently (ie. eBay Australian stock 2 year warranty through a phone store, etc).

Would of listed the eBay stock as a deal but limited stock currently so doesn't meet requirements. Hope this lists helps someone.

    • iPhone 13 128GB- $949 (Telstra Outright)
    • iPhone 13 512GB- $1399 (Amazon)

    • iPhone 14 128GB- $1109 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)

    • iPhone 14 256GB- $1329 (Amaysim)
    • iPhone 14 512GB- $1679 (Amaysim)
    • iPhone 14 Plus 256GB- $1449 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)
    • iPhone 14 Pro 128GB $1619 (JB Hifi)
    • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB $1769 (JB Hifi)
    • iPhone 14 Pro 512GB $1929 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)
    • iPhone 14 Pro 1TB $2399 (JB Hifi)
    • iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB $1769 (JB Hifi)
    • iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB $1969 (JB Hifi)
    • iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB $2289 (JB Hifi)
    • iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB $2619 (JB HiFi)

    • iPhone 15 128GB- $1300 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)

    • iPhone 15 256GB- $1529 (Amaysim)
    • iPhone 15 512GB- $1879 (Amaysim)

    • iPhone 15 Pro 128GB- $1749.99 (Costco) Officworks PB- $1662.49

    • iPhone 15 Pro 512GB- $2179 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)
    • iPhone 15 Plus 256GB- $1799 (Digidirect) Officeworks PB- 1709
    • iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB- $2029 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)
    • iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB- $2729 (eBay cellphonestore coupon-HGTNOV)
    • thanks for the effort listing them all out.
may i please ask if you get a tax invoice from buying outright with Telstra?
was waiting for amazon or other store to match but seems either getting it outright from Telstra or amaysim with a plan is cheapest in some case.

    1700 for a phone rofl

    • +1

Are you one of those that buy a $300 phone and say it’s just as good?
      News flash your camera sux.
You would be banned from taking family photos

      • +1

well you never know if someone uses a $300 phone also carries an expensive camera with some super expensive lenses.

        • If you carry an expensive camera, then you would also know how portable it is.

You can't beat a good camera phone for ease of use

          • @A Banana4scale: Well the point is who carries an expensive camera shouldn’t be banned from taking family photos for having a $300 phone.

      • I have a $300 phone bought second hand (Google Pixel), but I would never claim it's as good as a $1700 phone. I just think it's an absurd amount of money to spend on a phone.

  • Will probably upgrade in October 2025 for the iPhone 16 pro/pro max. Already have a iPhone 14 Pro. The 15 pro doesn’t have enough upgrades to warrant the extra money.

  • +1

    128…isn’t for actual pro users

  • Does anyone know if it’s same price in store?

  • Any chance to request PB at OWS, against Amaysim? 1529 is a good price for ip15, considering paying with gc.

    • PM with Costco, if so it should work out $1566 at OW. Still not as cheap as Amaysim but may work out cheaper overall if you have discount gift cards.

      • Got rejected before when asking PM with Costco. Said membership issue.

  • Able to successfully PB over the phone this morning.

    • PB over the phone can stack with Gc payment ( split with multiple cards)

      • they said i can only pay by credit card over the phone? and can't use gift cards.

        • My typo, I mean it cannot stack

  • +1

Pricematched the $1749.99 128GB Pro black titanium over the phone to OW - $1662. Pickup in store in a couple of days.

  • Confirm that this works. Just purchased through OW for iPhone 15 pro 512gb. They price matched. Got it for $2232
