I have been waiting for this monitor to go on sale for ages and finally pulled the trigger on it. It is not the cheapest price but I thought it is still decent compared to Black Friday sale price and cheaper than the LG38WN95C.

Can you get my order through for $151.84 Mr Muzeeb

Remember paying around $1,200 ish for this monitor about 2-3 years ago

      $1280 June 2022 IIRC.
This monitor is great for work, text is sharp, and it's very good for gaming too.
If you're only using it for gaming, I would probably go the newer OLED models

      • Nice recollection. I do agree the resolution and size is perfect for gaming and also productivity.

However the bloom and ghosting can be a bit annoying in certain games. I’ve moved to a c3 42” and the PQ is perfect but I am a bit nervous about burning in issues.

        • How is the text on this vs C3?

    • This actually deters me from buying even though there's probably no chance of it going that low again. Wish there were more 38" options

@muzeeb please remove a digit from this

Although 'only' 34inches, the AW3423DW is QDOLED 175hz .1ms response(zero ghosting) for the same price, worth the 4inch difference I recon

True but if there's mixed productivity in the use case, then AW3821DW is better because of better subpixel layout and slightly higher vertical resolution.

      • Got the OLED 34" and not bothered in the slightest by the subpixel layout, maybe some people are super sensitive to it or something? For anyone who's otherwise keen on the OLED and hasn't tried it, I'd say try not to let talk of the pixel layout put you off until you've seen one for yourself in the flesh.

The increased size and resolution of the 38" would certainly be great for work though, often think about grabbing one when they're on sale, just wish they'd come down a bit more…

I agree. I can’t really notice the text fringing unless I put my face up to the screen.

I've got one these second hand for $1000 a year back. A fantastic monitor for work, media consumption and gaming. while it might not be the greatest gaming monitor, but it's certainly a good one.

    Not even 4K

    Still waiting for a 38" 3840x1600 QD-OLED :(
I've had this monitor in the past and it's the perfect size and resolution!

    • +2

Yeah it's pretty much on my wait list too.
The 34" is nice, but downsizing sucks once you get used to a larger screen.

It's certainly one reason for not wanting to go back to working at the office any time soon….

        • I've thought about bringing my own large monitor in to work, but will get too many comments from colleagues, not worth the annoying comments haha

    • Why in the past? Why did you get rid of it and what did you change to?

  • If this was around the 1.2k mark I might jump on it, but at 1.5 I'd rather just keep hodling for a oled version.

    • Won't OLED be something crazy like 3K?

      • Hopefully not, the 45" oled are around that price, but I would pay a little over 2k for a 38 oled. But I don't want to pay 1.5k for a monitor released 3 years ago

I got the Monitor and its perfect for work and play for me but not sure if I would pay $1500 for it.
