  • these well review iems

4.0/5.0 rating from 53 reviews is a bit concerning. Common issues include comfort and one side stopped working.

That Aria gold cursive branding looks a bit tacky.

4.0/5.0 rating from 53 reviews is a bit concerning.

Seems pretty decent to me. Way too many people are "it's either 5 or 1, no room for nuance!"

  • +5

    They look like nannas chocolates

I don't know. Spending $170 on a product that they can't even spend $50 on getting a decent translation…just feels like they've probably cut other corners too.

      • +5

dogshit translations indeed but I fall for chi-fi waifus

  • +1

Got a pair of moondrop chus for $17.84 instead!

  • +1

Moondrop Space Travel is wireless and cheaper at $37 (but used to be $32) with free shipping even under $59 spend https://www.amazon.com.au/Moondrop-Space-Travel-TWS-Earphone…

they even have waifu anime voice for the bluetooth.

  • +2

Rather get a set of KZ PR3 when there on sale for ~$50. In a different league.

    • Dang my PR2 already out dated? I bought at around 55 bucks

      • did they release all three models in the same year? because I thought it was called the PR1.

I checked there are PR1, PR2 and PR3 models. PR1 released Sept last year, PR2 and PR3 released this year.

      • Just came across this FAQ article re PR2 vs PR3
        https://kz-audio.com/kz-pr3.html#:~:text=KZ%20PR3%20vs%20KZ%….

      • As are mine! basically was a major uproar when everyone worked out they weren't using the agreed-upon tuning. Other then incrementing the number I am unsure why they strayed away from the collaboration but the PR3 was the solution to the bad press I think? I only use these on PC for gaming (so as not to kill my 800s / Aryas with sweat!) so can EQ them so I won't be side grading to the PR3.

        • +1

Yeah I am pretty happy with PR2 although mine was the second batch that they removed some mesh filter and resulted in piercing highs. (I am over 40 so I can't hear that frequency range anyway). I see no need to get PR3.

If anything I would get AZ09 BT adapters to compliment my PR2

          • @hippo2s: Yep been considering a set of 20s myself! Wish they had 8 hours of battery life though, and the only thing I can't see is if you can use a single side or if are both required for connection.

            • +1

@giBiLatoR: AZ09 does…I think BC it's BT5.2. but I have always hesitated due to all the negative reviews around drop outs.

    • Oh, meant to say, yes I would agree. I prefer the clinical sound of planar drivers. So I agree when you can get PR2 or PR3 at around 50 or even 60 dollars those are better options.

    • Does the adhesive leak over time with this one?

      • +1

Never heard of this happening till I googled just now. Not with my PR2 not have I heard it happening. sound like only with that model called ZS10 Pro.

    • PR3 a bit cheaper from this seller. With GST comes to about same price as OP deal. But, Ali.

    • Blessing2 is great, but waiting for bigger sale.

    • +1

      Thanks, arriving Monday:-)

    • +5

One of these is not like the other 🤔

      • -8

It's not. Only IEM worth while in my eyes is the
Sennheiser IE 600 In-Ear Headphones they can be had for 600 ish

        • +2

How come you compare $600 vs $60?

          • +5

@belrose: it's just typical consumer confirmation bias thinking. what I bought most recently and for the highest amount must be the best, everything else lower in price is not worth it.

so basically "I got $1000 headphones and $600 IEM's everything else is not worth while".

  • Thoughts on Starfield at $103.52? Coming from KZ ZS10 Pros.

    • -7

      Trash

      • Man your taste in audio gear is rank garbage huh…

        • Starfield nearly same as aria, have a look at graph. Blessings 2 is a big step up!

    • +1

They're OK, I bought them when they came out, many say the Aria is basically the same thing as Starfield (sound wise). I personally struggled with fitment of the Starfield, didn't fit well seal wise, always slipped off my ear a bit.

  • +1

Don't think budget wireless IEMs have reached the point where they're worth buying, not like wired. It'll take a couple years for the industry to catch up, just like for wired IEMs.

    • +1

Moondrop Space travel's sound is leaps beyond whatever mountain of TWS earbud options out there on Amazon.

      • what's the lowest they go for, I'm looking to buy a set

        • +1

as I said in a comment with link above. regular price was $32 or $32.99 before. currently $36.99 I dunno the price went up I guess.

shipping is free though no minimum spend.

3xcamels shows the white ones dropped to $31.44 during Black friday. I guess you can't expect much of a price drop because they are priced low to begin with.

          • @harshbdmmaster718: Shows $7.99 shipping for me

            • @muddytyre: sorry dude not sure what to tell you. it was free delivery without prime or $59 spend a few months ago from same seller fulfilled by amazon https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/795365

              • @harshbdmmaster718: Do you know if they can connect to multiple devices?

                • +1

@muddytyre: no they don't have multipoint. but you can initiate pairing mode and connect them to different devices.

to be honest though $45 total is a lot more than $32 shipped looks like the price is affected by inflation.

                  • @harshbdmmaster718: There's an option for free shipping from a different seller
Also how easily do they fall out of the case as that's something I've seen in the reviews

                    • +1

@muddytyre: "Also how easily do they fall out of the case as that's something I've seen in the reviews"

there's no lid. obviously to take them out they need to slide out. they aren't "stuck" in there with friction if that's what you mean. they are magnetic though, so kinda imagine if Airpods didn't have a lid.

my opinion is you get these for the sound. being so cheap I reckon they cost cut in many places (such as no lid lol), so in terms of battery/wireless chip etc it will be similar to other $30~$40 TWS. I recommend making sure you keep the case and buds charged and avoid running the buds down to 0% over and over, otherwise you might end up with a shortened lifespan.
it's the tuning that puts them in another league if you enjoy music and that's the main reason to get them and kill two birds with one stone.

                    • +1

@muddytyre: I just found the NekoCake in white is $38.66 at the moment. it has a lid and different tuning.
                      https://www.amazon.com.au/Moondrop-NEKOCAKE-Optimized-Blueto…

most of the love soundwise is for the Space Travel's. Nekocake seems to be referred to as "colder" sounding, while Space Travel is warmer sounding (most users/consumers prefer this).

I found a graph comparison on headfi but they don't let you link to the image no more it keeps trying to save it instead. so I uploaded it ozbargain heres the link. https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/434102/109103/3493996.…

the differences look subtle, but that small drop in the bass and lower mids will definitely have a big effect in raising the treble at the same time. there also seems to be a slight hump in the mids which deviates from the usual target graphs (harman/diffuse field etc).

  • I've got Shure se215 which are meant to be sound isolating but found far too much sound gets through in a jam situation with a drum kit, upgraded to comply tips and ended up with ear muffs over the top because they still don't block enough sound. Can anyone recommend something better for hearing protection without going full custom ear scan + $1000 customs?

    • +1

not an expert in this field but you could consider Etymotic earplugs if you could endure wearing them.
