who makes this? i know nokia doesn't, its some Chinese company that purchased them, isn't pixel 6a better for 100 more

EDIT: found this in a youtube comment section for whoever needs it:

    NOKIA X30 wins at:
Better display - 6.4" screen w/90Hz rate (versus 6.1" w/60Hz of the Pixel).
More memory - Up to 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage (vs. 6/128).
More resistant - Gorilla Glass Victus (vs. Glass 3).
    More camera resolution - 50MP main & 16MP front (vs. 12MP/8MP).
    Faster charging - 33 Watt (vs. 18w).
Beautiful design, with a premium feel.
    More eco-friendy materials and package.
Dual SIM, Face Unlock, FM radio.

    PIXEL 6A wins at:
    Better performance - Google Tensor / Mali-G78 / UFS 3.1 (vs. Snapdragon 695 / Adreno 619 / UFS 2.2/3).
Better video - dual-LED flash and 4K/60 video (vs. single Flash & Full-HD/60).
    Bigger battery - 4410mah (vs 4200mah).
5 years of security patches (vs. 4 years).
Better speakers - stereo and louder.
Pixel Custom software - voice recorder, transcription, etc (vs. MyNokia's and Camera).
    Barometer, Always-on display.
    Cheaper - less ~100€.

    Both phones offer:
    3 years of OS upgrades.
    5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, USB-C connectivity.
    IP67 water and dust resistance.
    AMOLED/OLED displays.
    Finger-print sensor.
    Dual microphones.

    Both phones suck at:
    No 3.5mm audio jack.
    No SD card.

    • Whats the company name? Is it Nokia? 😅

      • hmc owned by foxconn …

Base price seems OK for a mid range phone it seems (I read some reviews of it). But… 33W fast charger sold separately ?? There also mention of a Finnish and a Chinese model (Australia) - if that matters to anyone.

  • Price beat at officeworks?

You can use WICKEDWEDDEC5 to get 5% off. No need to price match

    OP, it's $284.05 with WICKEDWEDDEC5

  • whats the meaning of carrier version ?

    • +1

You may see a carrier logo when turn it on. Most probably Telstra. There may be a carrier app, but may not.

  • Thanks OP, got one for mum

Phone: Nokia (but it is still over $250 mobile phone threshold). Any mobile phone costs around 25 bucks, exponently increase till end user.
    Computer/laptop/tablet: Lenovo

  • What does 'carrier version' means? Is it career locked?

  • Not much of a deal compared to the Motorola G54 for less than $200.

    • This has OLED abd guaranteed 2 years of updates.

    • Has anyone seen the keys for the time machine?

  • Hmmm. I'd consider it at $250.
Otherwise considering poco f4. I want faster charging.

    good phone

Non-carrier sky blue version is also $299.

This is a great phone if you want a pure android experience.

    • nokia android is great, clean, no bloat …. would gladly swap back to nokia from my oppo but hassle of redoing all the biometrics and logins is a turn off effort wise.

      • just connect both phones by a type c cable and all transfers are done except biometrics.
