whats so great about these batteries?

    • +3

I'm not going to answer this here, but you can find out what's so great quite easily by searching for other deals with these batteries, or having a look on the internet. The info is already there for you :)

      • fair enough, i shouldnt be asking stupid questions, my bad :(

    • +4

      why, the glitter of course!

      -_-

    • And you got negative votes just because you asked a question! What the?!

  • +1

Can only purchase 1 and shipping for me is $9.95, so unless purchasing other items, it'll end up to be the same price as Dick Smith. Not sure if shipping is cheaper for others as this would be a good deal.

    • not the same price….a whopping $0.05 less! :D

  • pls add postage $9.95 for Melbourne.

  • delivery to wollongong is $9.95. it will be the same with DSE deal which out of stock.

    • +3

Check the web site. DS were out of stock last week but all stores and online seem to have restocked with plenty of stock available.

DS is $20 each pickup or + $4.95 delivered. No purchase limit.
COTD is $9.95 each + $10 shipping cap. Limited to 1 pack only.

So only saving $5 over the DS deal delivered or same price if picked up in store from DS.

Lol, it's funny how they've got the 8x glitter ones for $9.99, then further down the page they have the original white eneloops 4 pack for the same price too

    • because DSE's $20 deal is still on, so nobody will buy 8 non-glittering batteries for $30 deliveried.

  • Yeah good for those who missed out on dick's deal

    • I love to deal with dick

      • For me Dick Does

    Limit 1 per customer + $10 shipping

  • If you get it delivered, its cheaper than DSE. Plus

  • +2

Agree Dick doesn't impose limits on quantities and their delivery is usually super quick

    • I was wondering how long it was going to take for COTD to ship these, only ordered from them a couple of times and items took far too long to arrive each time. I guess they just get swamped and have trouble dealing with it.

      • I order when they had the specials deals over 24 hours, 1 item came within 2 days of the order. Another item came about a week after the order was placed, so they can be good and bad.

        • When they have just 1 or 2 items on "sale" it's probably okay but when they have a crapload like they do today, people go bananas and I think that's when it breaks down a bit.

      • +3

It takes a while for them to colour in the white ones to make the glitter ones.

  • Hopefully they have more stock than DSE.

  • I don't understand how the nexus can ship at $7.95 and these batteries ship at $9.95 when these are smaller and lighter than the nexus.

    • +3

That's so they cover some cost of selling the batteries at 9.95….

  • +2

Now we know what happened to the first batch of supply from DSE.

  • With that amount for postage this is no longer a bargain by itself… why is nothing else on that big list included as a bargain?

    • I've scanned the list twice, nothing jumped out. If you think you've found something, post it!

    • LOL even the powerboard postage is $7.95 and it 5 times the size….

But no nothing that I would call a bargain, really up to the individual.

  • I bought a couple of the powerboards which I needed (and the floppy disk cushion) so the batteries included in the $10 postage was a good deal.

  • Dick Smith at Top Ryde shopping centre had glitter pack in a bin in store yesterday. About 15 in the basket, 20 bucks.

  • Limit of 1 per order kills it for me, I need 16 batteries so it's off to Amazon or wait for the next DSE deal I guess.

    • Eneloops are back in stock at DSE, you can buy as many as you want.

  • Hobbyking stuff is good too.

  • I've just bought 2 packs from DSE in Frankston (Karingal) and they had loads of them in the bins, I checked online and last week everywhere had no or limited stock but re-checking today and all stores around me had them in stock.

What's the best charger to use with these, i was reading that the Sanyo ones, apart from the USB powered one are not too good. Is anyone using this one - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000RSOV50/ref=redir_mdp_mobil… or the BC-900?

  • i'd rather get them from dick smith
