    Pay $199 for the card
Spend 5k to receive the special news
your promised BVP will turn into FFF points when NAB shuts it down?

    • can you enlighten me how to spend $5K in 90 days, ATO, city council fee, centerlink debt do not count.

      • Easy: Just walk into your nearest Hardly Normal, buy overpriced TV's and get no warranty so buy more and more
        So Gerry's dog is happy
and at the end: Albo to the rescue!

      • Buy something easily refundable…there's quite a few options these days ;)

        • do they suppose to refund back to your original card?

      • Sniip have a fee %

is it just me or has there been a big update to the T&Cs?

Citibank has been purchased by NAB, most products are significantly worse now.
Even if you sign up for Citi it will be transfered to NAB.
They ruined the famous citibank plus account and took away the ability to hold foreign currency with it.

    • +2

Agreed. NAB made a real success to take one of the competitor out of credit card market.
Sad to see losing those card benefits for present City Card owners

…and credit card products in AU just got more dire. there is just not enough demand for credit cards here in AU to make competitive products and the big 4 banks just spit out nonsense. pales in comparison to SEA countries.

    199 and 5000
sounds like some big numbers for a card with min limit option of $2000

    Very unique

virgin money shits on this with the 30k bonus points :)

  • Good process. Just did it then

$90 for additional card holders what a rip off

    • Apple Pay additional people

  • If I got the NAB card 6 months ago and got the points then I’m guessing I’m not eligible?

    • Which NAB card? This card is still branded Citibank - so I believe unless you got a previous Citi Rewards card which gave 80,000 velocity points you should be eligible.

      • 80k seems way too vague, given the number of different offers they've had over the years.

  • Nah.. Was 60,000 velocity and free first year (3000 spend). Come on blame inflation

  • Sorry to bump an old thread. The T&C doesn't mentioned the 18 month wait anymore. Does anyone know if they still enforce it or not?

Anyone managed to get pro-rata refunds on this one?

  • Has anyone got the points yet?
Trying to understand how quickly are they crediting the points even though their T&Cs say up to 12 weeks.
Applied 18Jan. Spent $6000k in first 15 days. Received email on 9th Feb to provide Velocity number. First statement issued on 17th with payment due in 2nd week of March.

Yeah, am waiting a week and a half since submitting my membership number.

Not my previous experience that they take so long to credit the points, even though they say up to 12 weeks.

      • Hope they credit quick. So that can close and move to next!!

    • did you get points yet?>

  • I got the email 9th of Feb too so waiting for the points

  • +2

    Points came through this afternoon.

  • I got mine last week. Payment set up for next week and then to call and close.

  • Got the points - first statement didn't close yyet!!

  • +2

Got the points. Closed my card via phone and they agreed to refund $199 annual fee by cheque.

    • Wow nice! Thanks for confirming.

    • Just got mine approved. However, in the welcome email, "Annual Primary Cardholder Fee $199, debited to your Account on first use of the Account (including Card activation)". Did you get that as well?

  • Anyone know if I can get this Citi card if I already hold a Virgin Money flyer card (since both are provided by NAB)? And can I also get a NAB branded card?

    • I got the virgin money flyer on November and applied for this a month later. I got both points from them. Not sure about other NAB branded card
