If anyone is looking for the previous PlayStation 5 Disc Console (Fat) Costco Boolaroo has heaps of them @ $669.99
Code 158075
I guessing this might be until stocks run out as there was no expiry date listed for the price.

The new slim is indeed ugly af
Yeah nah im good, they were $505 on ebay during BF.
Not sure why this was downvoted, mans spitting facts
Because they were, not all deals come back. Especially since it’s Christmas
Just gotta be organised.
I agree won’t be paying anything over 500 for it I think people are hurt about that one day sale they missed so they are downvoting meh
That deal really set the bar. The only thing that's gonna make me buy a PS5 is if it hits $505 again
To be fair, to some the actual deal here is the OG "fat" PS5 being able to be bought now that the slim is out, which is desirable for many. I don't think a $505 deal on the OG will be coming back.
Slim <$505, well yes eventually.
Was that an, order within 30 seconds kind of situation or was there really stock for most the day?
Only really worth mentioning if it was the latter
There was plenty of PS5 stock (500+) and the deal lasted more than 15mins from memory. I didn't buy, even though I could, because I'm in Xbox ecosystem. I missed out on the similar $505 Xbox Series X deal though.
It might hit that price again when I pick up a PS6
After selling Spiderman 2, I pretty much paid $440 for it.
They were, on one occasion, during a couple of hours. Many people weren't able to nab that one. That deal was never repeated again, and probably never will.
PS4 was $370 three years after it's release. This has a long way to go before it becomes good value.
there is this thing called inflation… are you really comparing to 2016 pricing?
Big difference in launch prices and…. Inflation.
Ok, fair point. Launch price of PS4 was $549, and after 3 years it was selling for 2/3 of that price. Launch price of PS5 was $749, so after 3 years it should be selling for $500 (and the digital edition should be $400).
The PS5 launched at $749, but went to $799 last year. Inflation is still high and after covid, components price went higher.
It will be difficult to find these consoles at half price even two years from now.
Base model civic 3 years ago was 30k. Now its nearly 50k.
Let's do some time travel.
What do cars have to do with electronics? Completely different. Also, the Civic that is sold now for $50k is not a "base" model, it's the top of the line model.
Here are the proper (apples vs. apples) prices:
2020 Civic VTi-LX - $36,600 PLUS on-road costs (approx $41k on-road).
2023 Civic LX - $47,200 on-road (approx $42,500 before on roads).
So in reality the price has gone up only 16%.
does anyone know if costco price matches across their stores?
Yes
Stores yes but the Costco online has the slim model at 779.99 delivered.
So I thought at least the Fat version is still available in store that I went to today for $110 less.
Which store was this?
Boolaroo (Newcastle)
@68Huey: Oh, I didnt realise you were OP haha. I wonder if any of the Melbourne stores have it for this price.
PlayStation 5 Disc Console
I'll wait for the single disc version thank you very much.
People who downvoted this must be fun at parties
Great price, unfortunately no stock in Canberra
Keep an eye out on gumtree or fb marketplace. I was able to get a second hand console with 2 controllers for $400. Was in no rush so was just checking every now and then but they do come up for those happy to buy second hand.
Fb marketplace is riddled with scam listings for ps5s. I've tried.
Still getting my head around why the ps5 hasn't gone down in price.
That model is 3yrs old, I had to go on a wait list to get mine 2yrs ago (to the day!). It was $749 then,
Sony have sold over 50million so all the tooling and design is well and trulypaid for by now.
Imagine buying a 3yr old PC and only getting 10% off!
Ps- I really like the PS5, no regrets
Still getting my head around why the ps5 hasn't gone down in price
Supply and demand I suppose is the answer. It would seem they are happy with sales 3 years on otherwise they would have dropped the price. Not much incentive otherwise
Good price, the new PS5 Slim is overrated and doesnt justify the price difference.
