and youd need more for the office why?

      • +3

For the noticeable improvement in cursor smoothness and moving windows around. Once you go higher refresh rate, it's hard to go back.

then dont buy it lol remember why you're here.

          • +2

@ashumz: I won't champ as it was pointed out that it's only 60hz, which is a valid drawback and wasn't stated in description.

You posed the question as to why you'd need more for office use and a reason was provided. Peanut.

        • +3

I have 60Hz at work and 144Hz at home, yes I can tell the difference if I really pay attention but if I don't watch closely it's the same shit

      • Why are you afraid to include it in description?

@NoshTwin: Monitor deal posters tremble before me and the 60hz truthers

  • +5

was $498 last month, different color though

    • Is it the only difference just wanna make sure before pull the trigger?

      • +1

yes it's the only different. still worth it if you want it now

  • Tip: Look at the clamp. You need a desk that can handle it.
A glass desk won’t do; a too thin desktop also won’t work!

    • Are you sure that a pair of books cannot fix it?

    • Surely you'd just put a bit of pine board over and under your glass/thin desk ? A plank of dressed pine from Bunnings is a few dollars, and a few more dollars for a small tin of enamel black to make the pine match the bracket.

The only desk I can't see working out, is an extra extra thick unit.

  • Awesome monitor

  • Dell G3223Q for $500 was a great deal!

    • How the Dell G3223Q was better?

        4K@144Hz

As per above, Dell one has higher refresh rate vs LG only 60Hz (but it does support Freesync).

LG one has USB-C charging though so if you’re using it with a laptop that supports it, it’ll make your workspace neater. Got one, it’s been pretty good for work and the included arm takes up less space than typical monitor stand. I do long for the Dell tho whenever I game.

TL:DR Dell for gaming, LG for work.

        • Work should be fun too!

        • Why not the dell for work especially for editing photos? Thanks in Advance

          • @sahilk: The Dell definitely can be used for work as well like editing photos, it's got good colours (95% DCI-P3, 99% sRGB). I prefer the LG because I use a laptop so the USB-C connection allows for 1 cable connection for power and display. If you have a permanent desktop setup, or don't mind plugging multiple cables on your laptop the Dell is a great choice as it does both gaming and 'work' well.

  • Bought it last month for $498 in one of the previous deal. Great productivity monitor.

  • I’ve wanted this monitor for so long, just wish it had slightly better brightness for the odd occasion I plug my PS5/XSX into it.

Primary use case is design work on my Mac (which this is perfect for). All the HDR600 monitors are either too ‘gamer-y’ looking (ugly) or just too expensive.
