        A really, really, limited selection of shows. I’m keen on watching The Curse so I’m going to do the trial but there’s not a lot else on there imo.

        Warner Media/Discvery are in talks to buy Paramount so watch out on these deals.

        David Ellison at Skydance has also put an offer on the the table so something could be announced before the end of 2023.

        Paramount are broke with big debts.

        David Zasolv who owns Discovery merged Warner Media/Discovery today and both he and the head of paramount were seen having lunch together earlier this week.

        The.CBS assets and programming is very much of interest to Zaslov but Ellison is more interested in just Paramount and their back catalogue.

        People have stressed that with National Amusements Inc re-merging CBS and Paramount together, in the two years since that happened, ParamountCBS has lost 2/3 of the value of the company so with the exception of Star Trek whoever buys ParamountCBS would get all their assets and back catalogue but a crap load of debt that Paramount owe as well.

        With Warner Mefia also having massive debt it might be harder for Zasolv to convince investors to take on another studio plus there would likely be pushback from FCC and Congress over merging another studio.

        From Zasolv’s point of view he gets a shit load more content to put on Max making it a must have streaming service as long as they don’t kill the international expansion that Paramount+ has already managed to get but as you can see all these deals - Paramount+ isn’t in the top five desirable streamers and Max is still a US only service. So just saying hopefully the international distribution with Paramount Plus isn’t affected.

        This could all be done before the end of the year or it might stretch on for months. It certainly sees that whatever deal was done with Secret Hideout keeping control of Star Trek which is Paramount’s most valuable asset but somehow that Five year deal with Kurtzman has continued longer than anyone expected.

        Whoever buys Paramount would need Kurtzman’s sign off as well. At least that’s what the Hollywood press have said in the past few days.

      I got this initially, then tried a different browser (Chrome), manually inputted card details (Mastercard credit card) and then applied Promo Code. It went through.

      Nah it's not, for Paramount Plus you have to pay extra. Amazon Prime Video only includes Prime Video exclusives and a selection of other stuff.

    I'm O/S for another month, I'm guessing this code will be expired by the time I come back given the previous one was in December too.

    Does anyone have any thoughts if there's likely to still be codes when I get back? Or how are they with VPNs?
