25% off Car Batteries @ Auto One

100

It's that time, new year new car battery? Generally needs replacing every 3 years or so. Might be coming up to that time where it may take extra long to crank after a shorter period of time of less use of your vehicle. Perfect chance to jump on and score a bargain. I know my 2018 Audi is starting to feel it after 4-5 days of no use!

  • looks like supercheat have 26% of everything EVERYTHING as well

BUT every crank is going to be out there that day

  • My last supercharge battery in my Camry lasted 5 years 9 months now thats a good battery .

  • +1

Costco(advantage range only), Repco, autobarn and supercheap also have 25% off.

Batteries are more use case dependant. So unless the same driving habits are being compared, it is hard to say my battery lasted x years so this brand is better. Eg, 3min trips to the station everyday will ruin an battery, compared to someone who does 95% long trips.

In different cars and different use cases i have had:
    Racv 10 years(black with caps)
Racv 7 years(sealed blue top yellow body)
Exide endurance 6 years and still going
Century 8 years and still going
    Repco(black) 4 years
    Supercheap Auto(black) 3 years
    Varta 2 years
    Oem Varta 13 years
Oem Varta AGM 13 years and still going
Oem Panasonic x2, one 9 years and one 6 years, same model battery.

For me the batteries that have lasted longer have been in cars that prodomiantly do long trips.

    • That's interesting. I have EFB battery in my car and last time at service they said it's a 60% capacity and will need to be replaced soon. Since than I have turned off the stop start function of my car( hated it anyway) and have charged the battery twice to 100% using agm profile on my battery charger. It has been over a year and still no issue but was wondering if I can do anything else to make it last longer.

Also as I don't use the auto start stop anyway I was wondering if I should get a standard battery as a replacement next time in case the current one dies. Let me know you thoughts.

      • the stop start battery thing seems crazy to me if people want longevity from a battery.

      • In terms of battery life and starter motor life, its great you turned off stop/start, it annoys me too :)

If you aren't already, charge your battery with your charger if you have done a lot of short trips without a long trip.

To my knowledge stop/start battery is only for the stop start function(battery life). I would use a standard if i dont use stop/start, but i would consdier otehr factors, price, ease to install, remaining life of car, and remember, if everything is equal, AGM batt will last longer than std.

  • Need the 25% off just to make Auto One prices competitive. Would hate to shop there with those very expensive no sale prices.

  • Don’t forget Gladiator have a market leading 5yr warranty.
