These went faster than Aussie top order batsmen to left arm inswingers last time.

For the i9 deals, we've managed to secure more CPUs and the Asus Prime Z790-P WiFi motherboard this time, and Antec Vortex 360mm coolers. For the 7800X3D 4090 deal, we've listened to some feedback and included the 240mm liquid cooler and added a WiFi 6 USB WiFi adapter, for the same price. If you bought the previous 7800X3D 4090 deal, you can request these upgrades at no charge if you want them/refund the upgrades if you paid for them, by emailing [email protected] with your order details.

Again all for delivery in Jan - these will ship after the first batch are completed.

I want like a mini/micro box; No RGB crap; maybe i7/4070 ti type setup…. might needa go custom

    • I need the same - compact form, quiet, with enough grunt to do everyday tasks (no gaming) but good enough GFX to do 3 x 4K

    • +1

Nebula PC had some good options. Recently got a 4070ti Lian li mini build, would recommend

Can you link me? Only see big PC's on their site

Same boat really. Want to move on from large desktop boxes.

      Considering this one… https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/kp-nuk110-01-kraken-nuke-…

      • oh Im so glad theres a few people out there in the same boat! As you get older I guess you dont want all that :P Air, flow and a decent P even that case is over the top :P - Theres a few odd brands.

        • +4

ATX cases make more sense for the older generations. Much less faffing about when you go to change a component and airflow is king. Size is only an issue if you want your case on your desk.

      • I got one of them for my tv. Considering if I want to put a 4060 or 4070 in it.

    • Me too! I want mATX/or ITX and just minimal design. I was going to purchase the BPC Tech offer with RX6700, but by the time I decided the RX6700 is OOS :(

trying to put in an order but keep getting a payment failed message. Not sure why - looks correct on my end?

    • +3

It seems to be an error at Securepay's end with 3DSecure, we're contacting them to find out. Seems that cards/banks that require 3D Secure aren't allowing processing. We have an automated fallback protection in place but if the card requires 3DSecure specifically, it looks to be failing right now.

    • +1

There was definitely an issue, and it's been resolved now 👍

  • +1

    Thanks.

  • An important difference in the i9 build now is that the ASUS motherboard support thunderbolt via an external card compared to the MSI. This is very tempting.

    • What does that mean sorry? Which is better and why?

    • Both are fine but preferably AMD…..
Intel P+E core you'd experience some weird CPU Scheduling "issues"… It's entirely a thing that when you wants your VM to run on P core but E cores are assigned….

        • Hmmm what you mean?

On any Morden CPU/OS, all CPU cores are used - doesn't matter it's AMD or Intel or Qualcomm or MediaTek

If one core fails then the CPU is toasted. Same for AMD or Intel, so it's not a concern.

Both AMD and Intel internally has the capability of disabling specific core on the CPU (and in fact that's usually how lower end CPU products, such as i3/i5/r3/r5 are coming from), but this would require specific tools in the CPU Foundry so it's irrelevant to us consumers

Note there are a couple exceptions here, e.g. AMD 7950x3D, where you'd be able to disable a specific CCD to force games/applications to run on CPU with 3D V-cache…. But it's mostly irrelevant for the topic we are discussing

          • @ICEFIR: watch gamersnexus review of the scheduling issues and the whole 13 and 14th gen intel cpus…. in short theyre trash and have issues far beyond scheduling

          • @ICEFIR: you are talking about when not all cores are the same by fault, he is talking about when they aren't the same by design; processes get assigned to effeciency cores and not performance cores.

            • @JigBew: Nah on the second post, op was talking about something along the line of "since AMD uses all cores, if one goes fault then all goes fault"

I've already addressed P core and E core in my first post

  • Thanks for the amazing deals Luke!
    I ordered the i7 4080 deal after the i9 4080 sold out.
Is there any chance that I can upgrade my order to the i9 now that stock is available?

    • +2

With the way stock works when there is limited quantity available, and because there are different motherboards, RAM etc involved, the simplest way is to buy the i9 deal now and request a refund for the i7 system, which would be refunded ASAP via a request to Finance. Of course it would be understandable if funds don't allow for that, so you can request a refund - that just also has to go through finance so wouldn't necessarily be immediately returned to your account between banks etc. There's no simple way to change from one deal to the other in short run deals where demand is high as we don't want to oversell anything.

      • Much appreciated thanks Luke.
I've ordered the i9 deal now and will get in touch with finance.
Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be stuck with 2 PCs.
        Cheers

        • +4

I'll escalate the refund request for you now, thanks!

  • Hey Techfast
Was looking on website and something off about AMD RYZEN 5500 Intel ARC A750 8GB Gaming desktop

Priced at $1259 on sale for $1399?
    Is this back to front?

    • I'll take a look - probably!

  • Also
    Ryzen 5 7500F | RTX 4070 TI: $1788

Seems to be $1988 not $1788

    https://www.techfast.com.au/AMD-Ryzen-5-7500F-RTX-4070-Ti-12…

    • This one has a coupon code applicable to it which deducts the $200

      • My bad! I didn't understand

  • +2

    good for minesweeper

    • just about 4000 fps

  • Hey Luke,
Thank you for getting back to us promptly. Ordered the i9 4080 and can’t wait to see it.

    • Awesome thanks!

  • @luketechfast - Is the PNY model in use the XLR8 or the Verto?

    • More than likely the Verto Triple Fan

  • @luketechfast, Hi Luke, can you confirm i need to buy another system for my order (ending with 57168) to change AMD 4090 to I9 4090? Is there guarantee my first order will be refunded as i don't want end up with two expensive PCs :(

    • Howdy, sorry we're a bit thin with some sickness going through the CS room today - refund of the previous system is absolutely guaranteed and I'll escalate the request for you if you want to go ahead.

      • Thanks Luke, just ordered I9 RTX4090 (order ending with 79627). Please escalate previous order refund for me, thanks and sorry about the hassle.

        • No hassle! Thanks for the order(s)

          • @luketechfast: Forgot to mention previous order # is #TFxxxx7168 if that helps. I have also included in the order notes. Thanks again!

  • Hi Luke, I purchased the 3080 deal, but on the other boxing day thread you said possibly could do AM5 instead of AM4 - I emailed about it to the sales email address - can you please respond to that about what options/cost. Thanks, Michael.

    • +1

That would only be possible if we were to spec up a deal based on an AM5 spec, which we haven't done as yet. I can leave a note in the order to contact you if we do?

  • Yep, please do. Thanks.

  • @luketechfast iam looking to order the i9 / 4080. Can it be shipped out in march? I will be away from Feb. Unless they arrive before then?

    • These should all be shipped out in plenty of time but guess it depends when you leave in Feb - just leave a note in Order Notes with date ranges and we can handle that.

  • Would prefer AMD CPU and AMd GPU, no intel or nvidia

  • can you ship parts seperate

    • No, we’ve tried in the past but we’re just not setup for it sorry

      • fair enough , would grab two 4090 deals if parts shipped separately

  • Where is $4388? Only saw $4399

    • Typo in title and deal body, can’t believe it took this long to notice! Website price was always correct.

  • @luketechfast is there a possibility that I can get the parts instead of the completed build if I could wait for a a bit longer for things to normalize?

    • Sorry, just not setup for it. We’ve tried before with too many issues

  • +1

I've been hunting around for a new PC for months, and finally bit the bullet on one of these! Can't believe I'm getting a 14900 and 4080. Cheering!

    • Nice!

  • +2

    14900kf + 4080 for me woohoo!

    Farewell OC'd 2600K + 1080, you have done a great job!

    • +1

      Howzat even possible?

  • Hello - @luketechfast

Thanks again for the deals, they're great. Apologies for the spam - just trying to make sure I don't get two PC's delivered…

Are you able to escalate and cancel order #TFxxx8288 as I've ordered the i9 with order #TFxxx1956

    Appreciate it!

    • Underway!

      • Thanks Luke! Appreciate the great service and speedy response!

  • Hi @luketechfast

I previously ordered the old 7800X3D RTX 4080 but am now looking to upgrade and change it over to RTX 4090 because of the new upgrades.

I already sent an email for it with my old order (#TFxxxxxx7965, no response yet), but would it best to reorder first or wait for my old order to be cancelled/fully refunded?

    Thanks.

    • If you can, yes please. I can escalate the refund request once purchased. Three have been done today already so Finance is standing by, lol

      • No worries, purchased now! If you can escalate that would be awesome (new order #TFxxxxxx4928 in case you need)

        • Escalated!

  • +1

Is there any way to upgrade the ram outside what the options on the website are? 5200 is a bit slow for the 4090 build..

  • +3

So excited I am getting an i9 RTX 4080 PC. Thanks!
Going to put that in my dating profile and watch all that booty come my way!

Reality… I had to ask my wife if I could finally upgrade the PC, gave an many reasons as possible to justify it and promised to pass on the old one to one of the kids. Hah!

    • +1

I'm still pleading my case - I'm sitting on a i7-4750k & 1060. Everything, apart from the 1060, will be 10 years old in April 😂

  • -1

Shall I wait for the 4080 super?

  • Hi Luke, I've looked at other deals from other mobs on the site - and by comparison - yours seem to be really good value, so I'd like to jump in, but I'm not going to be paid for a week or so, and I'm looking at the BD 4080- Ryzen 7 7800 with a few upgrades - what's the likelihood of these deals (that one in particular) being around for another week?

    • +2

Hard to say mate - we do have plenty available but not sure they'll last a week. As I've said on another thread (I think? so many messages lol) we'll always be back with another deal

  • Hi @luketechfast, i placed an order late last night and stuffed up with the promo code and didnt realise until the charge popped onto my cc. Sent an email straight away and didn't receive a response. Just wanted to check the email arrived and if i could get a response please? Thank you

    • The inboxes are manned during business hours. If you forgot to enter the coupon code, it won't be a problem to refund the $200, no stress.

      • Thanks Luke, much appreciated

      • I’ve been waiting for a response for 2 days about my new pc that keeps blue screening.

  • Trying to make a purchase but it hangs on "Processing Please Wait" :(

  • Hi Luke, I purchased the i9 4090 Boxing Day offer and wanted to swap over to this new offer with the Asus Prime Z790-P WiFi motherboard and Antec Vortex 360mm coolers. How do I go about this? Do I purchase the new offer now and request a refund of my previous order (#TF4874974436)? If so will I be charged at all for the swap?

    • Hi, please email [email protected] - we can change that order easily as it's just a couple of component swaps and a refund if applicable. There is no fee to do so. Cheers

  • +1

    Hi Luke,
I am having a lot of trouble with a pc from the previous deal - constant crashing and blue screens. I have sent 3 emails to your support team and I haven’t received a response since Friday.

    • I can confirm we've been in touch, please check your emails :)

  • Damn! The 4070 TI deal is gone :(

  • Noob question - can I add another 4090 to one of the 4090 builds in the future if I need to? I run ML workloads currently on cloud, thinking about purchasing at home workstation

  • G’day @luketechfast! What’s the best way to contact you guys regarding cancelling an order? Ordered an MSI i9 4090 but thinking I’d rather an ASUS system

    • +1

Gday mate, just following up on this one. Not getting a reply via sales@techfast. I understand naturally you guys are likely busy after these successful sales, but it’s a little disconcerting having no way to contact someone I’ve just spent $5k with. Sorry to be a bother but would love to speak to someone if possible please

  • Hi Luke @luketechfast,

does the deal include delivery fees waived? the title seems to be suggesting it, but when I was ordering at checkout, the delivery fees wasn't waived.

    Kind regards

    • +3

I believe "+ delivery" means you have to pay for delivery. From what I've seen on ozb, usually titles will say "$X delivered" if it includes shipping.

    • +1

Yeah + Delivery in the title meaning the price of the system + Shipping.

  • @luketechfast

Hey mate gutted i missed out on the 4070ti deal for my son. I was saving for christmas but didnt quite get there in time. Do you know if there will be any similar deals on the horizon?

    Much appreciated
