Mac Layout version also available for $119 from Wireless1 (and also on Amazon.com.au through Wireless1). Only 5 left otherwise I would post a deal.

I just did a PB at OW for $113.05.

I prefer the FN key where it is on the Mac layout so opted for that.

    Thanks OP for posting this!

    • Can you PB an eBay link at OW?

I struggle to PM straightforward things so would think a coupon-based eBay deal would be a challenge.

That's the older, non 'S' model with the Unifying receiver though. The newer MX Keys S model uses the Bolt receiver and is incompatible with Unifying.

      • Oh dang, you're right

Still happy with my purchase for 25% less since I don't need the newer features

  • Is there a decent alternative to this keyboard that is a bit cheaper, say $50 or so? Yes, I realise you don't get as much quality. I don't need the best, just something decent that is wireless, full sized and relatively quiet for an office setting.

      • I think I've tried these and I wasn't too fond of the overall feel of these.

    • +1

The big selling point for me with this is the ability to switch computers/phone/iPad seamlessly.

Not sure there are cheaper alternatives that can do that

    • Iirc Dell, Rapoo and Satechi have budget clones of this keyboard, although they aren't as high quality is the real thing.

There is a suspiciously similar HP keyboard:

Thank you for sharing this, ended up buy 2 of these for $65 shipped.

I have this HP keyboard and MX Keys. They both look very similar. Probably manufactured in the same factory. Ofcourse, Logitech is better.

        • How did you find them? Looking to do the same

          • @booboo: Highly recommend the HP ones, especially at the deal price which is a third of the Logitech. It is probably 80-90% as good as the Logitech IMHO

  • +1

Just bought it as my current keyboard is so loud everyone can hear me type lol

    • +1

      WHAT?!

    • +1

      NANI?!

    • Are you sure it is the same?

I've had this excellent keyboard for some time, and do not notice the sound of hitting keys.

I guess if I really smash them I can make noise, but that would apply to any keyboard.

      • My current one is not this one, it's a much cheaper Logitech MK235 (do not recommend!)

          Hahaha… English language…

"Just bought it as my current keyboard"… then missing a comma, suggests that you are commenting on this new keyboard. LOL.

"Just bought it" missing comma, "as my current keyboard…" suggests you are commenting on your current (old) keyboard.

No criticism, just observation on the wonderful infinite variety of English.

BTW, you should love this new keyboard. It's not noisy at all.

          • +2

@Roman Sandstorm: No comma is necessary. People just need to read a little slower. :)
"Just bought it as my current keyboard is so loud…." = Just bought it because my current keyboard is so loud…".

            • @appledeuce: lol, no, that is what punctuation is for, so that people can understand what you are writing

          • @Roman Sandstorm: What you're suggesting isn't even good English… "I just bought it because my current keyboard is so loud", no comma needed.

People correcting other people on England using badder England no good

            • @D3m3ntia: Calm down, Dementia.

I was not correcting his English. I was light-heartedly pointing out how the same grouping of words can be read in multiple ways. A comma can help to clarify, but it isn't necessary.

Multiple times in my post I indicated it was an amusing comment. And I explicitly stated: "No criticism".

And then you want to read both hypocrisy and malice into my post. Seriously?

  • Does this use the same options dongle things as the mx master 3? For some reason logitech managed to make the new dongle absolute shite, my mx master 3 cant go further than 30cm away before it starts dropping out.

    • Is Bluetooth better? Read that the dongle has noticeable input lag too.

      • Bluetooth works fine on the mx 3, i dont know what theu did to the new logi options dongle. My old mx 2s didnt have that issue

  • Waiting for bonus cashback from Shopback/Westpac again to bring down the price closer to $100

Gah, how likely is that to come around soon?

  • +3

Isn't the Enter key a bit weird on this model? How come it is different from the one on Logitech AU's website?

  • When you switch devices on this, does it switch for master 3 mouse?

    • +1

No, only if you use Logitech Flow

  • Thanks OP, bought one. Was eyeing this off a couple months ago but couldn't find it under $200 which I could not justify.

Replacing my old corsair mechanical keyboard because it is so loud and annoying to type on! I don't game much now but it will be interesting to see how this performs in that scenario…
