But with a lot of seemingly random characters after the .zip which I suspect are needed to get permission to download the file.
There used to be several good free font sites; I hope they are still up. It's nice to have alternatives to fonts such as Courier and Times New Roman. A lot of free fonts seem to be knockoffs of expensive commercial fonts, created from scratch to look very similar to commercial fonts.
For my file manager, Total Commander, I am currently using the "Constantina" and "Lato" fonts.

Sadly, all novelty fonts so pretty much guaranteed to never get any use, other than making it hard to find your normal fonts. Still, free is free!
You must not do much graphic design/craft etc!! These are a fantastic selection for me!
I do a ton of graphic design, semi-professionally. None of it, however, is Hallmark twee. But as you say, for paper craft projects and the like the fonts may suit.
But since you like them so much, maybe an upvote for the deal is in order?
