Ryobi 18V ONE+ 18GA Brad Nailer - Tool Only $243.63 (Was $279) + Delivery ($0 with OnePass/ C&C/ in-Store) @ Bunnings

150

First time this model has been on sale. Previous price drops were on the last outgoing model.

Price history, https://pricehipster.com/product/HqeH-JG9cq-rARwH9F3sJg~HJ1K…

Not a massive saving at 13% off, but Ryobi nailers rarely go on sale, and $36 is better in my pocket than Bunnings, lol.

Plenty of stock around, https://nrby.in/bunnings/0385367

I/N: 0385367 in case the website plays up.

  • Managed to grab the kit version for $99 and loving it.

Now need a repeat of that deal for the framing gun!

    • Their framing gun is apparently just a rebadged AEG … However I think the RRP is still a little high

The Ryobi and AEG are rebadged Senco’s

        • +1

Is this proven? Senco's parent company is Kyocera, while Ryobi (outside of Asian market) is manufactured by TTI. Both Kyocera and TTI independently produce power tools seemingly with no affiliation with one another - https://toolguyd.com/tool-brands-corporate-affiliations/#:~:…

        • No they're not. They did buy the power tool business but the tools are definitely not a rebadge

Very decent brad nailer. Mine is still going strong after about seven years of amateur furniture building and retrimming the downstairs of my house.

  • I think they coming out with the new brushless one soon? I already see the new model in the states.

    • There is the HP version already available in the USA. It's called the P322 over there. Apparently from what I have read, it is a bit smaller and a bit more powerful.

Also read that it doesn't work well with the smaller batteries, with some saying it needs to be used with the 4.0AH minimum. No real problem, just makes it a bit heavier. The model I posted above is known as the P321 in the USA and does work properly with the 2.0ah batteries.

    Bought one, thanks OP.
Reduced price wasn't scanning up at register and was still showing as original price so had to show the website to get the discount.

  • I bought at full price 2 weeks ago after waiting a while. Haven't unboxed it yet. Does bunnings have some kind of 30 day price guarantee like some other mobs? Couldn't find it on their website.

I think return, refund, and repurchase is the way with Bunnings.

  • Just as a curiosity I was thinking of getting the Bosch Blue finishing nailer as I seemingly need to always driving into hardwood. While I understand the Bosch would be "better", its also of course twice the price, is the Ryboi good enough or good for pine and softwood but will struggle with hardwoods ? and the Bosch can notionally drive 64mm nails?

I have no idea about nailers ?? but getting sick of drill and screwing with some work I do :)

The Bosch you are referring to is a 16g nailer. This one is 18g which is a thinner.nail. They sort of crossover a bit in use but are used for different purposes.

If you want to find out a bit more about choosing the right gauge nailer, have a look something like this article in the link below. They explain it way better than I can.

I have one. So far so good. You absolutely need it for some DIY project.

  • Amateur question but would this nail gun also remove nails?

    • +1

      No, it's just shoots nails.

I have both Ryobi and Makita nail guns and the Ryobi is much better. Rarely has a jam while the Makita which costs more keep jamming like no tomorrow. This is after 2 replacements.

  • cashconverters sometimes price them around $140 in fair condition.
just be careful to wipe off any meth crumbs and shards of auto-glass.

thanks op, managed to get one before the deal ended.

  • I got this with the 4ah battery for $100 a while back. It's good for nailing things together.
Was most disappointed I couldn't shoot nails like a real gun without pressing down the plastic bit near the tip.
Apart from that it's been good.
