    Awesome 🤩

  • +4

Awesome, date plans sorted for the weekend thanks OP

  • Is the food any good?

    • +5

      Yeah, surprisingly good

    • +2

Depends on the store, the worst bettys ive been too would be parra and circular quey. The best by far would be byron bay

      • +1

I waited 40 mins for a burger at the parra store, it was overcooked and the fries have been sitting on the rack for the whole 40 mins.

Even with this deal you'd get better value walking over to BL burger and ordering a standalone Blame Canada burger, you'll save time and get a better meal

      • Could you elaborate on your negative experiences vs good/ best experiences

Byron bay is bit far for me

        • At circluar quey and parramatta, i had cold burgers. Chips were not salted at both. To be fair ive had better experiences at the parra store before the negative experience

          • @Quarter Pounder: I see thanks

Oh when i go to maccas if they put a decent amount salt and chips straight out the fryer it is the best

But if you ask for extra salt, they say they cant do it. So have to be lucky to get adequate salt in my experiences

          • +1

@Quarter Pounder: *Quay, not Quey ;)

    • +6

I've only been to the Chatswood one, and I thought it was overpriced for what it is, but to each their own. For $15 though, it's ok.

      • +6

Definitely overpriced once you add chips and drink, their burger prices are pretty standard though.

    • +7

Burgers are great, chips are average

    • +1

better than your average joint; quality might pleasantly surprise you given its a well-established chain now. avoid the chips though if you're paying full price for them.

(a lot of people seem to share this chip opinion. maybe they'll rethink their recipe one day…)

    • Burgers are great, just very expensive for what it is.

    • -1

Went to chadestone yesterday and their burgers made me feel sick. I don’t rate them.

  • Is this once?

    • +5

There appears to be no limit on the amount per transaction or number of transactions.

      • Contradict what others have said

        • That was based on playing with the app and not actually placing orders, and I also wrote that before feedback came through from those who placed real orders. It now seems to be limited unfortunately. I believe this is the first time Betty’s has run an app only promotion, plus they have bugger all T&C’s to go with this deal.

    • +1

Looks to be once per day.

I made an order and then offer disappeared from the offer.

However checked back the next day and it was there again.

  • It's about the same price as a large Big Mac Meal. Is Betty's burger any good? I could never justify it for the price point. Is this a decent fast casual meal?

    • +8

Burgers are definitely better then a bic Mac, I treat myself from time to time but wouldn't ever pay for their chips. A single burger from Betty's will fill you more than what a Big Mac meal does, don't be fooled by the portion sizes it's moreso quality of meat.

      • +1

I don't eat much beef due to being ex-hindu. I don't like beef much and have only had it in Fast food places like Maccas,HJ, GYG etc and a couple of other restaurants. Is the beef better quality and if so, how far better quality?

        • +1

I prefer their chicken burgers over beef personally so if you're a chicken person definitely the safe bet, really hard to say if it's amazing quality or not but it tastes and looks the part compared to Maccas and HJs which I personally can't eat.

          • +1

@lookingforadeal7: Based on OP's post, it seems like the beef one is the only option. If anyone has the app and is able to choose a chicken burger option, could you let me know please. I would greatly appreciate it.

            • @NotReallyaMoneySaver: That's unfortunate I thought they had a "classic chicken burger" but they might have changed the name after looking at the menu seems to be quite a few new additions. Maybe you could make the order on the app and ask the staff kindly if they'd change it, I've made odd requests on deals like this before with other businesses and staff have been able to help sometimes. Just don't ask as an expectation and it helps the chances.

              • +3

@lookingforadeal7: Yeah, that is fine. It's not like I am allergic to beef or anything. I am just not used to it. I haven't eaten any good meat like steaks and other cuts of beef so maybe that is one of the reason's why I don't like it. Thank you for all the help and responses. They have been extremely helpful.

                • +1

@NotReallyaMoneySaver: I used to not eat red meat just because I didn't enjoy it when I was younger and personally prefer chicken still so definitely nothing wrong with that. I went vegan for 6 months and took a while to build my stomach to eating meat again so I'd assume it's the same with red meat if you aren't used to it. Definitely recommend trying some good quality beef at some point, you'll definitely tell a difference if your only experience is from fast food places.

          • -3

@lookingforadeal7: A chicken person is more environmentally friendly as chickens cause less to the environment xx

            • @Bii: Yeah I personally used to be a chicken and fish person and rarely would eat any red meat until I was about 20 because I wouldn't enjoy it. 9/10 times I'll still order chicken just because you can't really go wrong with fried chicken but can definitely go wrong with beef.

      • +1

Interesting, a large big mac meal(with diet Coke) is 1000kj more than a classic burger.

        • A 180g bag of milk chocolate MnMs has roughly the same calories as a classic burger maybe a bit more but would just make me feel sick and not full for longer like the burger would. Macros are probably most important when it comes to feeling full. 870kj of that is from the drink alone.

    • +1

For me anyway the buns a bit sweet, the sauce is creamy/rich with a thin patty and onions n lettuce. So it's similar to big Mac but if you prefer qtr pounder you probably wouldn't like this.

    • Easily much higher quality than a big Mac meal. I refuse to buy any Maccas burger unless I get a $5-6 meal deal offer /$2-3 big Mac/quarter pounder deal (I have over 20 accounts)

    • You are comparing Macca's junk to a real burger, that's the difference :)

  • +5

Greasy stuff, fairly average chips, a bit mediocre depending on which franchise. The Noosa original was pretty unique, but it’s an average fast food burger chain nowadays, it gets pretty old quick.

    • +1

+one Original Noosa store was awesome, back in the day.
These days really up and down, hit and miss depending on the store

    • Plus one….probably worth around $10 to $12 for the meal deal …….. other local options either better price or better quality or even both on "tight ar$ e Tuesday's"

    • This chain doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Noosa original Betty's Burgers that was run by Betty, and sold real cheap burgers. I remember it from the 90s, but she seemed to be getting on in age then.

  • +2

Tried this once, better than G'rilld but still worse than home burgers on bread.

    • I've never tried as I have a decent local, good time to try I guess.

    • i should try cookup burgers at home!! :)

    • Grill’d is my least favourite chain. Literally would rather both maccas and HJs over it. Something about their meat patties that just tastes weird

      • If you have work in food service that taste reminds me of sanitiser. Yuck.

        • Hah I worked Pizza Hut Express (shopping centre version) back in the day, you might be on to something. It’s definitely something artificial

  • +1

Is it one per app or you can purchase several?

    • Keen to know as well

    • There looks to be no limits from having a bit of a play with the app.

    • Limit one per person. Here now and the deal has changed

    • +1

Bought two in the app in the same transaction. Solid wait as lunch rush but confirmed deal is good.

      • -1

Wouldn't let me over the counter

        • +1

          Lol

  • +3

Skip the chips , get a double burger and a cookies thick shake with the coffee upgrade. The best.

    • Curious but what would the price be? Sounds that would be around $20-25 or around the same price as this deal before the offer.

      • Bacon Double by itself is $17.50

There was a deal for two shakes for #$10 if u can split w a mate that's $5

and I paid $5 for fries but lookin at this picture i took of my meal then IT'S ABSOLUTELY not worth the $5 The fries come in a small cup equivalent to the size of small maccas fries bag

        • I ate at Melbourne Northland btw but yeah only had it once . it's alrigh burger the shakes are very good aswell

    • Biscoff biccies thickshake is God tier also. 👍

But they chips were skin on and extra crunchy when I got them so Idk what you mean!?

  • +1

    Any chicken or vegan?

    • +8

Don't be silly, no one is going to allow you to kill vegans and eat them on a hamburger….

    • +1

      Beef patty only unfortunately.

  • +1

Not bad I guess it's a good alternative since most shops close around 5:30pm in Penrith Plaza but Betty's Burgers closes at 9pm every day so a bit of a consolation prize there if you miss closing times.

  • +3

Betty's are legit. Doesn't even come close to the frozen garbage of grilld. Pales in comparison.

  • +1

I paid $13 the other day for an OK, plain cheeseburger from some bougie burger joint. And nothing else. This is a deal.

  • summary of comments here seems to be get the burger, skip the chips - and hope it doesn't take too long or you get a cold burger

    • -1

And can only claim once so go by yourself

  • +1

Just as a note to anybody who is allergic to egg like myself - they put egg in almost everything they sell

    • +2

We paid extra to swap to the vegan bun and swapped the mayo sauce for tomato sauce. So far my son hasn't had an anaphylaxis reaction to his burger from lunch today so looks like the beef patty doesn't contain egg.

AVOID Royal Stacks if you have allergies. My son ended up in hospital ED after eating their burgers despite us telling them he had allergies to egg and peanuts AND them checking with the ignorant kitchen staff. I'm Chinese and the kitchen staff at the Doncaster East store were Chinese and obviously didn't give a f*$# about a 5yr old boy's allergies. Meat patty and/or bun must have had egg.

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • Confirming I used tried to order 2, no go. 1 per app.nog per person. He even tried to scan the code again

    • What about a different day?

      • Good question. Try not to frequent the joint to often ;)

  • As someone who has had the american classics like In n Out, 5 Guys, Shakeshack etc. The Betty's Double can hold its own against those three. But it depends on the person holding the spatula on that day, they need to nail down consistency and pricing

  • Just to confirm, it only allowed me to buy 1 $15 meal deal. Tried to ask for 2, and it didn't scan the second time through. I didn't think to ask whether it was one per person per day, or just within the same order

  • +1

Got this yesterday. Burger was decent but can confirm that the chips suck!

  • What's better, Betty's or Burgertory?

    • Burgeetory wall of fame eating challenge wins! Too bad they closed the Kew store. Not sure if they have it elsewhere. Ability to pay in Bitcoin was also a novelty

  • Managed to order two times with this deal with one account. Is today the last day to get this deal?

  • +2

Yeah it is. I set it to the 31st when I posted it because I think that’s what the app initially said. Perhaps they have amended it due to the offer getting ozbargained.
