Popping up again to say that I had a fantastic experience with Nebula when I bought my first ever pre-built with them. Changed my order about 500 times after I placed it and they were more than happy to accomodate each change and kept me updated as the build went.

Build quality was fantastic, cable management is so far beyond what I would have ever had the patience to do, and the machine that I specced runs quiet, cool and fast.

    Highly recommend these guys.

    • +2

      Thanks champion! :D

    • +1

      Same.

My PC was very well built and shipped quickly.

  • With these pre built PC's, do you have to purchase windows?

    • Yes, a Windows license needs to be purchased for us to install Windows.

      • -2

What if we don't want or need windows installed?

        • +13

          Then don't install windows?

Do I need to pay extra for sauce?

Yes if you want sauce you will need to pay extra.

What if I don't want or need sauce?

          • +1

@OZKap: My question was poorly worded, but some companies that do pre-builds force you to buy an OEM of windows (to benefit their margins.)

I was just checking whether it’ll let you process the order without choosing windows as an option.

          • +1

@OZKap: TBF the site says windows is required to purchase as confirmed working so it's not really optional.

            • +3

              @Kheops: There we go.

              That would explain their non-reply.

I swear, some of these companies (especially smaller ones) will add $179 to the build price, only to sell you a $2 key from the grey market.

              • +1

@duckduckering: And yet I was able to get to checkout screen without adding any extra for operating system.

Wonder where @kheops is getting their info

To quote the actual PC builder screen:

All Nebula PC systems come with an operating system installed with all necessary drivers and software preconfigured to run smoothly. Choose whether you'd like us to install and activate Windows on your PC, we would recommend this for the best experience and features.

With an option for "operating system: base" at no extra cost

                • +7

@OZKap: I didn't get a notification on replies to my reply for some reason. If you don't want Windows installed it's also fine. We don't pass on the software cost to you to "benefit our margins", you are free to do whatever you'd like with the operating system. The option to purchase a Windows license is available if you want us to install it.

                  • @Nebula PC: Excellent, thank you for clarifying.

My remark wasn't a jab at your business in particular—I've just seen too many scams in the tech industry. My Grandfather once got tech support without me, and they charged him $399 for a copy of Office Professional which was very clearly a gray market key (no box, no purchase receipt.) This sort of thing is unfortunately not uncommon.

  • Hey team,

It’d be my first prebuilt system so please bear with me.

I looked at he configuration and couldn’t figure out a way to swap out the case to a mini atx. Is that even possible with this card? If not, what’s the smallest case I could pick?

    Thanks!

    • Hey mate,

All good, ask away! Do you mean mATX? The default NX200M is an mATX case and the NX500M if you want to upgrade to it. The GPU is compatible with mATX cases. They'd be the smallest as ITX cases wouldn't be compatible with the system :).

  • Do you guys do small form factor builds in a similar vein to the Intel Extreme NUCs (although of course a bit bigger given the cases, mobos etc that would be available)? Not sure if this is a silly question but figured I'd ask anyways. Thanks in advance :)

    • +3

Unfortunately due to the much higher cost for all other components, it makes it not feasible for OzBargain deals. If you'd like a custom rig in SFF we can discuss a custom quote though it will be more than what you can build it for yourself.

      • Fair enough, I don't trust myself enough to build a gaming PC (not because I'm clueless, but because I know my luck 😁) so I might reach out after work to see what could be done, thanks for your fast reply :)

      • I like the honesty. Well done to you guys and wish you the best.

  • +1

So the new 4070 Super price is only about $50 dollar cheaper than currently 4070 Ti and slower than it. Should we just get the Ti instead of then?

    • Sorry actually made a typo on the SRP price, it should be $1119. It's slightly cheaper but more than $50 to the 4070 Ti. In terms of price to performance, the 4070 Super would have a slight edge. It really depends on the person but I think the 4070 Super is great value, it's meant to fill the void between 4070 Ti and the 4070. If you have more of a budget, you should go for the 4070 Ti Super when it releases. All these new cards are fantastic.

      • +5

It's not great value, it's just better value than the rest of the overpriced 40 series cards.

        • The idea of value has now been reset. This is the new normal of GPU prices

  • What's the current build time right now? Sorry if I've missed it. Looking at a 4070 Super build with a few upgrades. Cheers

    • +2

Will be slightly faster than the 7-10 business days, we've cleared most of our orders from Boxing Day. I'd say 5-8 business days for despatch now :). Once despatched delivery is extremely fast as we use express couriers only.

The following are our estimated delivery time frames with our couriers after despatch:
Metro Sydney – Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong, and Newcastle - Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
All other non-listed major regional town in NSW - Next business day
Metro Melbourne – Next business day
Metro Brisbane – Next business day
      ACT – Next business day
Metro Adelaide – 2 business days
      Tasmania – 3-4 business days
Metro Perth – 4-5 business days
Northern Territory – 5-7 business days

      • +1

Great, thanks for the quick and honest reply. Appreciate it!

  • Great. Are you looking at any runout 4080 (non super) deals?

When do you think the 4070 Ti Super builds will drop? Keen for that 16gb vram.

    • +3

Will be next week for 4070 Ti Super and the week after next for the 4080 Super.

      • +4

Looking forward to the 4070 Ti super deal.

  • Hey guys,

New to the prebuilt scene, I used to think everything on this side was more expensive because of OEM markup + builder markup + builder fee, but this PCPartpicker breakdown says this is $250 cheaper than ordering all the parts and DIYing it? How does that work? Do you buy parts in bulk and pass the savings on? I'm just confused on the economics here haha

    • +5

      Hey mate,

Really good question, we simply purchase in large volumes and certain parts in bulk without retail packaging to reduce cost. On top of that we operate on the thinnest margins possible to make these deals possible. Our overhead cost isn't the largest in the nation in IT so we can make these kind of OzBargain deals possible as a smaller business. Whereas other retailers will have more overhead due to their sheer size and can't operate on our margins. We pass on this discount to you guys - it's all volume-based. To put it simply, we really don't make much money. I'm talking about the single digits in profits…

Hope that clarifies it for you, any other questions please let me know!

      Cheers,
      Lawrence

  • +1

Are you going to do any RTX4090 systems?

    • Extremely hard GPU to come across, anything could change but at this stage it will be no.

  • -1
    • That system is more expensive with a 4060. Doesn't compare.

      • yeah. Just realise the 4070 is much more expensive.

        • It's also an AM4 system compared to the later-generation AM5 one on our deal. Closest comparison would be something AM5 + RTX 4070 :).

    • Comparison:

      4070 super instead of 4060
      DDR5 instead of DDR4
500GB instead of 2TB hard drive
No WIFI instead of having WIFI.

If you only have enough to buy this, then buy this deal and add an additional hard drive later / WIFI (USB) later.

Personally, I'd get a mobo with WIFI and larger hard drive now if I was buying it.

  • Is is possible to change the cpu to ryzen 5 5600 instead similar to one of your 4070ti deal?

    • Yes, it will be. Keep your eyes out.

  • You've got a link to your 7800X3D deal, however that is marked as expired 2 days ago? Is that deal not expired?

    • It's expired now, will update.

  • Hmm the cheapest 4070 ti I can find right now is 1149 which is only 30 dollar more and it is a better model than pny. 4070 super at this price is not that appealing then

    • +1

you have to wait few months , the 4070 super will be the same price as the old 4070
this is brand new card on release day price

  • If we have our own ssd can we exclude it from the build and save on the upgrade to 32gb ram ? might look at the 4070ti super build when it comes out

    • Unfortunately not due to warranty reasons, to make it easier we must supply and install our parts so it doesn’t get complicated.

  • 4070 super is 15 fps faster than 4070 and 10 fps slower than 4070 ti on 1440p according https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-s…

  • -2

Paying AU$1000+ for this 12GB card is the 2024 equivalent of buying a 3070 Ti 8GB - already VRAM deficient and heading towards e-waste next year

RDNA 4 8800 XT and Battlemage B780 will directly target this card as the baseline anbd have more VRAM and be $200-300 cheaper

The only NV cards worth considering this year are the 4070 Ti Super, 4090 and 5090

    • +2

What are you even on about? This is brilliant value for money given the GPU alone will cost $1K RRP.
If you're going to argue VRAM, you're not making a good argument given I have a 3070Ti and has served me well.
With VRAM, you need brute horsepower and the 4070 Super isn't supposed to be a 4K GPU.
So do tell where you think 1440P in an optimized game needs 12 GB VRAM?

      • +1

Yeah the vram scare campaign is kinda getting out of hand, pretty annoying to see it on every post. 12gb is fine for 1440p

        • Prob overkill tbh, it depends on the BUS and spec of VRAM

  • Excellent deal, gives me faith that responsible sellers are not going to RRP rip us off.

    Kudos to you.

  • Hi @Nebula PC

I am looking at purchasing a PC specially for Tekken 8 (which drops on the 26th January).

I need to be able to play it with all ultra settings, 60FPS, will this PC be able to do that or should I wait for a deal with the new gpu's coming?

    Please help me!!!!!

    Thanks

    • +2

Taken from Steam, not Tekken, but the requirements, I'll just post.

      Recommended:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
          OS: Windows 10 64-Bit
          Processor: Intel Core i7-7700K/AMD Ryzen 5 2600
          Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070/AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
          DirectX: Version 12
          Network: Broadband Internet connection
          Storage: 100 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX compatible soundcard/Onboard chipset
Additional Notes: *"FPS (frame rate/second): Stable over 60" is guaranteed and selected under the graphic settings by default when the game is launched for the first time.*Frame rate may drop when other applications are running in the background.*Please note that minimum and recommended specifications are subjected to changes without notice.

      • Thanks for that, im after something that will "beat the pants" off the recommended specs and will ensure that I won't have to upgrade again for a few years (last time was 2017).

        • Using the requirements above this system is well more than enough for your needs, it will last you a few years for sure. I imagine it can run Tekken 8 on max settings without an issue.

        • To be sure you don't throw money away, wait till the game is released, then read reviews to see perf.
I've seen woeful experiences on things like FH5 where the game wasn't simply optimized and made it tedious to play.
Hardware was more than capable to play it but there was software issues.
The longer you wait, the cheaper hardware could get.
Especially with the drop of the newer Super tiered GPUs.

        • Dlss will help if it doesn't. I run every game decently on my 3070 as dlss frame boosts.. it's actually not that bad. On top of that I'm playing at 4k

  • My housemate went with Nebula and they were fairly prompt, maybe 10 days which is very good. As someone who has built a lot PC's for people, it was well put together and properly packaged for shipping.

Obviously if you know how to install an operating system you should always do it yourself regardless of the source of the PC. But for customers who can't do that they put proper care into having it ready to go.

Was very impressed with what he got for the price.

  • Still no love for ITX Lawrence.

    • Unfortunately not due to price, this is OzBargain after all. There will not be OzBargain-worthy deals for ITX due to the sheer premium cost of ITX components. If you can, I strongly consider a mATX system as a middle ground for the best price :).

  • Any plans to do a 7800XT deal soon? Thanks.

    • +1

Never, we did before and will not do it again due to the issues we've faced thus far.

  • Are there any options to add PCIe WIFI adapters? Or select any other cheaper WIFI motherboards.

    • +2

You should be able to fit one with the B650M-P board beneath the 4070 but it will cover and block the airflow of one of the GPU fans, that's why we don't have it listed on our builder. I would recommend a Wi-Fi motherboard or a USB Wi-Fi dongle instead if possible!

  • I wish a lot of these custom builders would offer 'creator pc' builds (see the tech-notice channel on YouTube if not familiar}, instead of everyone focusing on gaming. I understand it's a bigger market, but there must be an underserved market of creators out there.

    • +1

A gaming PC is basically a universal PC - if you want to buy one for a different use, then go ahead. There's nothing specific in either use case that makes it unsuitable for the other 🤷🏼‍♂️

      • Sorry, not true. Can be, but is not in a lot of cases.
You could spend a lot of extra money with no benefit, even degradation in performance depending on your creative field.
Eg some expensive gaming motherboards don't provide the embedded GPU with power or don't allow you to use the slotted gpu in parallel with the built in one - super important for smooth performance in editing video.
A lot of gaming builds prefer processors without embedded GPUs.
There are many more nuances depending on your field of interest.
        https://youtu.be/t9h0TsaGxMw

    • What would a streamer want that doesn’t come in a gaming pc or cannot be upgraded too?

      • See my reply above

  • "20% performance bump from its predecessor" - according to Tomshardware, in 1080p gaming the performance increase is more like 14% (or 16% in 1440p gaming).

    • Depends on the benchmark/game but I did mention it was a rough 20% boost, will not always be the case with various use cases :).

  • Seems pretty decent.

They give an option to upgrade psu.(w/ +$80)
3year warranty one -> 10year msi gold one.

  • I want this with 4070ti and Intel CPU but won't allow me

    • Motherboard options aren’t compatible and don’t come up

  • What the different between this and TechFast RTX 4070Ti?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/825678

    • 4070 Ti is a little better, 4070 Super is made to fill the gap between 4070 and 4070 Ti.

  • -7

this guy has broken Nvidia embargo from advertising before release date. Good luck to anyone ordering from this guy, as he will be on Nvdidia Shit list

    • +1

Dafuq you talking about? These were released 17th, it's the 18th now, Centrecom are advertising too.
      Derpa derps embargo this.

      • -1

Worked in the industry for many years. Nvidia put the release date at 1am AEDT 18th Jan. He put a post up/ product for sale before release time. Nvidia monitor for anyone advertising before this time. Nvidia will report to the manufacturer to let the local disty know not to supply them stock or the manufacturer and local disty risk not getting allocation from Nvidia.

        • +3

The industry? You mean you worked behind a counter and now are the nVidia secret police?
Do you know how many 4070 Supers are listed online and on eBay?
If you worked in the industry for many years, you could at least get the correct lettering of nVidia right yeah?

I think you should be put on nVidia's shit list for misrepresentation of their secret police task force embargo local disty super team.

  • Has the deal ended? I keep getting told the code isn’t valid for the items in my cart.
Edit: never mind it worked on desktop browser. Weird

    • Still live, have a few systems left :).
