    • No they only send out confirmation after validation. Last year they gave away the free buds and people only received email about a month or two later

      Orange S24U 256gig Boi here. Definitely not a popular colour if the lack of comments are anything to go by. Glad yours is on it's way. Mine is still awaiting dispatch, ordered 20th.

          It wasn't the same price on EDU portal. It was 20% off the RRP on there (instead of storage upgrade offer). That's why I chose the 256gb as well, instead of 512gb.

      if it wasnt for the durability concerns with the hinge, i probably would have stuck with the fold4. Also, i dont big screen as much as i thought and theres not a huge amount of native support.

      • yeah same here although I do use the large screen a lot.
        but unfortunately lots of scratches on the crease with my fold 3 as Samsung store in Seattle told me to take screen protector off when it was bubbling and I did. didn't work out as great as expected with the scratches.
        so gonna try a candy bar phone again and probs go back to fold after 😅

      Shipped doesn't mean it's shipped. It has to be on the way to get a tracking number.

      You will be able to find it in the Samsung store, EPP store, SMS and email. I'd you have an Auspost app it will show up there too .
      You just need to wait.

    I chose titanium blue. I didnt notice at the time it hard darker sounds compared to the silver on the grey.

    • Had Blue in my cart, but last min changed my mind and swapped it for Black. The Blue actually looks really nice in pictures and the contrast with the dark edges is mint.

      then it occurred to me that I paid zero attention to colour as I never selected it when I was just getting an idea for the price. ended up with a Lavender unit,
      at first I thought ewwww but actually loved it! lol

      ordered Violet this time. S22U I am trading in is green. none of the colours are really bad, but I love those dark edges on some of the online exclusive options. went with violet regardless, not the best colour, I would love to see it in just navy, but I'll take that. it's going to be in the case most of the time

  • I too went with blue, but now feel either yellow or grey would have been nicer. I always thought the exclusive colours would be more attractive (I know it is subjective, but none of the exclusive colours have wowed me).

    edit: I would love to keep the phone without a case, but these are slippery as f. BTW did order a clear case along with the phone. Any idea if the clear cases from Samsung are on par with the other major case players in terms of quality?

    • I had Samsung clear cases before for my S22U, they were OK, yellowing was well controlled but still present. clear case is a clear case

        Grainy greys
        Banding colours
        Non uniformity of brightness
        Brightness worse than s21/22/23 ultra.

        Plenty of threads if you need more detail. I would almost recommend people not to preorder. Seems like many with these issues are returning their phone. Unknown if samsung can patch out, no official response

    • Read in reddit, titanium blue is most popular exclusive colour and in very short supply. Expect some delay. Can be seen if you order in samsung store now, it has much later delivery date compared to some others (other than titanium gray).

I ordered the 512GB S24 Ultra with case and Buds 2 Pro today for $1339. I plan to sell the Buds 2 Pro for at least $200 on flea bay so effectively bringing my out of pocket cost to $1100 for the phone with the case as well as Samsung Care

Has anyone worked out what accessories to select to max the discount coming off the mobile? I remember seeing a post where someone claimed to have gotten the price down to the high $700's without trading in a recent model mobile i.e. a 2023 flagship but can't locate the post anymore. Help!

        The vivid setting doesn't work, you can tell that nothing happens when flicking between the two settings. Looks like a software issue for sure. The screen itself is very nice.

    • May I know why you need it as it comes with free Samsung care+. You can swap the handset if it gets broken and also glass on this model is pretty good.

        But yeah, putting a glass screen protector on it would be negating one of the supposed best features of the S24U screen, which is the anti-reflectivity.

      Just get the cheapest tempered glass or hydro film and try it out. Worst case you're out of pocket $6 and you can decide to buy a more expensive one. Given the Ultra now has a flat screen it should matter even less on brands and fitment as it'll apply easily.

    just received my grey 256gb - screen and display looks flawless at the minute - no display issues.

        I am using Natural colour tone. Adaptive brightness off. Adaptive colour tone off. Eye comfort off. Did not use smart switch.

        At same brightness level as my S22U, S24U is much brighter. No colour banding or grainy issues.

    Installed the Samsung anti reflective protector and have an issue where there's a horizontal crease line in the middle of the screen now. Either application error or crease due to the way the protector folds upwards when applying…

    Interested to see if anyone else has any issues…

      This is why I prefer tempered glass, especially this year the screen is flat. I used Spigen wet application protector which was always perfect without the crease.

      I got black too! Initally was leaning towards grey but black is such a safe option and I've mostly gotten black phones. Went to see the phones in store and saw both colours but glad I got black. Its not a very dark black, it reminds me more of a slightly darker space grey of the iphone

    people with the online exclusive colours, does it catch the light like the normal ones does? I saw the mock devices with the exclusive colours instore and found them not as reflective/light catchy as the standard colours. It didn't feel very premium/exclusive. I really hope it was due to it being a mock device.

  • I'm also finding that my S24 ultra isn't fast charging with a Samsung 45W plug. Seems to be a common issue in Reddit.

    I'm currently using the Natural colour display. The S24U is nowhere near as good as the S22U on Vivid settings. Fingers crossed a software update will fix that.

Expect delays for these two colours especially blue - or at least from what I read… Samsung at neighbouring country (Indonesia) has blue 512 delivery for 8 March 2024 if ordered today. Similarly for Singapore, only blue has 16 Feb delivery dates. Other colours are on 31 Jan…

      Can you please tell me how you got the refund for the accessories?? I have logged into my account and can't see anywhere that allows me to cancel or refund something.

      • I cancelled before it was marked as shipped. Went into the app and against the order is a cancel button.

        It then gives you the option of what you want to cancel. Select and click Cancel and that's it.

        If this is not appearing or your order is past this stage of allowing cancellation, I would reach out to Samsung via chat and ask them to cancel (have done this in the past).

    • if you send it in i guess you still have the option of declining their reviewed offer if you dont agree with the amount.

    • A $0 valuation is as good as not sending it in and bearing the $30 cost. To be eligible the device has to be at least $1. They might still charge you the other admin fees for not being in the same condition.

    • If it's not there, can't be added. You could try customer service but highly doubt they will be able to add it.

      Youcan still get it half price, so If cancelling the current order means you will use the galaxyai code at a lower value, you might as well just buy the 2 year for 129.

    • If you used a trade in device and want to use it again it is a pain waiting for Asurion to help.

      They need to cancel the trade once you cancel the order and they take so long to answer. Been 1 week waiting for them to help me after so many messages.

    • Yes, I picked my phone up at AusPost this morning, and got an email from Samsung that my order had been delivered. It took a while to have the tracking page updated to Delivered (about 2 hours after I picked up), and as soon as the status updated, got an email from Afterpay that the refund has been processed. Then got separate emails about the device return, and a credit note from Samsung.

    I tried a variety of setting combinations: eye shield, adaptive tone, vivid vs normal, different white balance options - everything sucks side by side with S22U which just has Natural and Eye shield enabled

    yes brightness is stellar, but colors aren't impressive

      shipped means its not shipped, its an internal process. on the way is shipped.

      edit - consider shipped to mean, pre shipping.

    • Ordered 512GB titanium violet on the 19th and same thing. Contacted and stated how it said specifically 'Arrives on 29/01/2024' on my order confirmation and they just said well thats not happening. might have to wait like 3-10 business days until shipping and told me they had no clue when it would ship out.
      Not happy as I took the day off work on Monday so I could sign for the phone (because I was excited), so wasn't very satisfied that it hadn't even shipped out on that date.
      My fold 3 hasn't received One UI 6 either yet and is getting slow as, so really wanting this new one….

      • I don't think Samsung ever said it will be delivered on the 29th or "arrives on 29th". That's a huge claim.

        From memory on the website it stated orders will be shipped from 29th or earlier.

                The 'pre-order' line is your status on your order, not in the same sentence with 'Arrives on 29/01 /2024.'

                And even if it did state 'Pre-order arrives on 29/01/2024', that's more clarity towards the customer not samsung getting the order. But also samsung should have made a disclaimer somewhere or worded it better like "Ships from 29th or earlier^" "^Orders may be delayed due to X Y Z reasons, you will receive an SMS and/or e-mail with the shipping details".

                I have my own little e-commerce shop and I can tell you the amount of people that try to scam and try take your wording is quite high and I have to try make it as clear as possible. I had to change my wording a few times on a few disclaimers so that even babies should be able to understand it because customers tried to take advantage of the wording which all failed to do so anyways. And on the other end of the spectrum, there are customers who are not that bright and no amount of clarity can save them. But the goal is to mitigate damage.

                • @hasher22: I didn't say the date was pre-order. The order I placed was a pre-order. With a stipulated delivery date. They didn't deliver or send the device on the day they said they would. There really isn't any point to discussing it, it's clearly an issue on their part and it's frustrating.

                  Like others, Kristy was kind enough to send an email update stating it's 2 weeks away from being shipped.

                  The annoying part is giving my business to them, had I known their real delivery dates I would have purchased the phone elsewhere.

              I also don't think its very normal practice for them to say arrives on "insert date" meaning when they get it, that would almost always mean arrives to the customer on that date.
              Also when ordering on my orders page it said "get it by 29/01/24" which has changed now, but certainly was there closer to the time I ordered

      Dunno about Afterpay, but my PayPal Pay-in-4 reduced each of the remaining 3 payments each by the total refund value divided by 3.

          the case is a silicon violet one that I ordered from the free accessories voucher! lol

          I just took the case off to have a second look, and the violet back is nice. maybe I ought to carry it around without the case since I have that care+ because it looks super awesome.

          titanium frame has goldish tint to it, more pronounced than Apple Starlight finish on their recent macbooks, and violet back is deep and dark variant of violet, under certain angle and light it appears more like navy or even black.

    The Pre order system is a joke. I remember a few years ago during S21 when you chose exclusive colours it stated it will be delayed dispatch. This time had no warning at all. Samsung getting worse and worse over the years.

    My tracking originally said "arrives on 29/01/24", changed to "get it by 01/02/2024" yesterday, tracking number with startrack this morning and received it at around 12:30PM 31/01/2024. Two days to wait so better than others in the thread but still poor from samsung to quietly change the promised delivery date when I ordered well in advance.

    My order being received also triggered my trade-in (not going to send device back and sell on fb marketplace, S20 FE 5G 256GB if anyone is keen), and also triggered confirmation of adjustment to my paypal pay-in-4.

    Wow what a whirlwind Samsung! Ordered on 18th Jan - S24U Titanium Green 256GB. On my invoice it says "Ships on 29th of Jan. Still waiting for dispatch up until 29th of Jan. Received email from Kirsty on 30th Jan saying will be dispatched on 5th of Feb. Later on 30th Jan my status changed to "Shipped." Today in the early morning received a text from StarTrack that it's coming today. Received the package this afternoon.

    S24 Ultra Titanium Violet 512GB ordered on 19/01 just changed to shipped status with delivery saying "get it by 06/02".
    Just earlier today I received an email saying I may not get it until the 12th so this is certainly promising.
    Now to wait and see how long it takes to move from 'shipped' to 'on the way' status with a tracking number sent

      Sometimes natural colour profile is good to see what everyone else sees. For example, if you post pictures on instagram then you'll want to edit it in natural, otherwise everyone will see it more washed out if you are editing in vivid.

      If you look after your phone, like use case and screen protector all the time, it's probably only "good to have" rather than "must have". You have to pay to get the replacement device after all, so you may not want to spend $ just to give away your pristine device and get a refurb one.

      I am one of those people above, and while I had the Samsung care may be a couple of time before, but never used it, cuz I always sold my phone in pristine condition rather than keep it long enough to get a replacement one.

    Ok my 19th of Jan order 1tb Titanium grey is on transit. Received auspost notification in the afternoon and was surprised to see it especially it was minutes before that when I checked samsung track order page was still showing Awaiting dispatch, start shipping by 12/2.

    Moments later the ststus changed to Shipped yet no sms from Startrack or email from Samsung.

    ETA on startrack and auspost showing delivery date as 1 Feb. Too bad no one will be around to receive it and hopefully I can rush back in time before the LPO closes.

      "As per checking on the order details, the tracking details are not yet available. It shows that the order hasn't been shipped out yet. I know that it shows that on your end it's now on Shipped status. The main reason is that, the system detected that this order is included on the orders which was supposed to be shipped from the 29th of January."

      But my clear case was sent today to the store, and my order says "on the way". I assume when I get all the items and my order fully state all items picked up, I will get the accessory refund email. I will update this comment tomorrow when I get my final item.

When I checked today morning, it says shipped and the revised delivery date is 5.2.24 but can't see a tracking number. Hopefully, star track will pickup the package today evening and deliver tomorrow?(Sydney Metro). Eagerly waiting.

  • Do you setup the new device by using the transfer function from the steps in order to bring the contents from the old phone? Or you setup a new device first then manually do the apps installation?

    I often do the manual process but am thinking to try the "transfer" method this time. Some users mentioned that it could bring some old settings etc to the new device which could potential cause the performance and battery issue.

      The intro of the S24 will prompt you to transfer everything from the Smart Switch app on both phones via wifi or cable.

      It will bring some old settings to the new phone but I wouldn't worry about any performance and battery issues, just go back into the settings and change the settings. I think, don't quote me, in the selectable items when you transfer over stuff from your old phone, it may have a 'settings' option, untick it if you don't want your old settings transferred over.

    What's the difference between the status change from 'shipped' to 'on the way'? That's basically the same thing lol.

      Shipped probs means a stock allocated to a shipment, On the way means the shipment left the warehouse and tracking number to be updated.

      'shipped' means the stock is allocated and reserved to your order
      'on the way', speaks for itself but you should receive an SMS with a tracking number and this is when your order changes from 'shipped' to 'on the way'

          It depends, everyone is different but

          I ordered the phone on the 18th and it went into shipped around 2 to 3 business days before I got the tracking number, I got the phone on the 30th but got the SMS tracking number on the 29th and that's when my order went into "on the way"

          My clear case was delayed and it went into shipped on 30th but today it went into on the way as I got the SMS tracking number.

          In my case it was 2 business days for both packages

    • Delivered this morning, which matched the day stated on the Samsung order page for the last week (2nd Feb). Glad it wasn't the 12th of Feb like Kristy advised.

      Careful though, Startrack dropped this on my doorstep with no signature required.

  • Just wanted to give others hope.

    I ordered 19/01 in the morning (Titanium Blue 256GB) with some accessories, got the email from Kristy 30/01. New dispatch date in email was 12/02, but also "Get it by 05/02/24 Standard Delivery" when I tracked my order.

    Tracked my order just now like I have been several times a day each day (lol), and it has been shipped from Sydney with a Startrack reference. Order changed from 'Shipping' which it had been since Kristy's email to 'On The Way'.

    Seems like Samsung got overwhelmed by the pre-orders as others have mentioned but also that they're actively trying to send them out but taking a 'worst case' ETA with people so they don't get even more upset when another earlier date comes and goes.

    Very excited and will be hitting that Startrack tracking refresh button every 5 minutes all day tomorrow :D

  • For those not intending to send in their trade-up phone and just cop the fee, may I ask how does it work? Do you just go silent on asurion and not send anything in? Or do you reach out to them and let them know youve had a change of heart and keeping the phone?

    Also for what its worth, I ordered two blue 256gb, one for myself and another for my brother, on 18th and 19th. Ive recieved my first order yesterday, along with the accessory refunds, and my second order is coming tomorrow. I did recieve an email from the infamous kristy for my order on the 19th.

    I think as someone said above, theyre just managing expectations and extending the ETA.

    Screen definitely isnt as vivid but its not a deal breaker!

                            @kampret: I think for new orders (made today), they would probably get delayed further. Possible into March… There are more reports of delays for EU, US and etc. Little delays for India, China and South Korea though. Sadly it seems they just didn't stockpile enough phones to meet the pre-order expectations. Samsung should improve on their delivery and manufacturing. If they cant meet the delivery date, then do not advertise it and send out Kristy's emails… Karen would be much better than Kristy tbh.

                        • @Leonart: More on the lines of them charging me on 19th, promising delivery by 29th and now the uncertainty of when exactly they will deliver which beats the purpose of pre ordering earlier. If the exclusive colour takes more time, they need to be upfront in order to make an informed decision. I believe the system should be able to reflect actual dates expected for delivery similar to Apple.

                          Just an FYI, they haven't got back to me about my request for compensation. So only time will tell whether it was worth requesting for it.

      • You don't need to apply for refund. If you cancelled the accessories the refund will process after the phone delivered. Normally couple hours later.

            I used my desktop PC to cancel (and not the mobile app). I went to the standard samsung website and logged in: https://www.samsung.com/au/
            Click on Orders
            There should be a button called "Cancel Order" which will let you select which item(s) you want to cancel.

            BTW, this has been discussed in the thread a couple of times. I suggest you go through the entire thread.

    phone got delivered yesterday but samsung app still says on the way and tracking says delayed. do i have to select delivered on Post app for it to be updated as delivered and asessories refund.

      I didn't receive a prepaid satchel last time, I had to log into my trade in account and generate the postage label.

    • You don't get a satchel. You take your email to auspost and they give you a satchel there.

    • you goto post office and pick a box. put in the trade in and bring it to counter and let the Post Officer scan the label. Fully paid for by Samsung.

    This hints at further delays…

    • Seems to be more delays depending on country of manufacture from what I read. S24U can be from China, Vietnam, India or South Korea. Not sure where Australian stock is being manufactured… Unsurprisingly those countries are ones with little or no delay in pre-order delivery. Too bad Samsung wont be making a factory here to high labour cost…
      Also read that orders are not processed based on order time/date, albeit only on some. Weird - probably just their systems not coping with pre-order volume…

        It most likely is stock, but Im also not sure how you sell something you dont have. As a store, they get assigned stock. If you sell 1000's more than expected, surely at some point you need to stop selling to meet customers expectations or mark items out of stock so people move towards items in stock

  • I just received my black s24u 1tb this morning. Ordered on the 20th, invoice said would ship by 7/2 but order status was 'on the way' on the 2/2 afternoon.

    I also got my refund and return instructions about 2 hours after delivery.

    Hopefully everyone receives their orders and refunds soon :)

      my S24U (violet, 256GB) has been in silicon case since day one. never noticed it's hot, maybe the case is that good at dissipating heat? no complaints whatsoever, it's the greatest phone I have ever had (upgraded from S22U, before that I had A53, S21+, Pixel 6a, Pixel 3 and a bunch of useless iPhones god what was I even thinkin, but I still keep some old iPhone 7 running just to get free Apple Music through Shazam once in a while)

  • Finally got my S24U and I'm upgrading from a 6-7 year old Huawei Mate 9 so this should be a pretty big change.

    I find it funny that some games look worse on it because 1080p was the native resolution and now it needs to be upscaled.
    The speakers on the S24U are also utter garbage. It's so damn tinny. Enabled Dolby Atmos but still tinny to the point the sibilance hurts my ears. In contrast, my 7 year old phone absolutely blows it away which I find hilarious.
    The fingerprint sensor also fails too much after putting on a screen protector, even with touch sensitivity increased. Maybe I need to add more angles of my fingerprint. Not gonna lie, even Huawei's Mate 9's fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone seems like a better implementation since that's where my finger goes when I pick up the phone but that's 7 years of habit talking.

    Oh well, I'll just have to focus on the positives. Processing power is definitely better.

    • can't say I share the experience around speakers, find them adequate - but I never had mate 9 so can't compare like for like. coming from S22U there's definitely improvement in this space, but that's not saying much as S22U was truly lacking in this space

      fingerprint sensor hasn't failed me at all, even unlocking wet phone while walking around at a pool hasn't been an issue - but I don't have screen protector on

      performance is awesome, no doubt there

      I think the only thing where I would improve it is weight. titanium is nice but the brick could have been lighter

    • I am using this screen protector and fingerprint sensor works perfectly fine every time. These are tempered glass screen protectors, but pretty thin and flexible, and pretty cheap in terms of cost as you get 3 protectors and a guiding tool to align perfectly.

    • Happy with the speaker, much more presence than my old Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Fingerprint sensor also lightyears better than my old phone, has never failed. Even with oleophobic screen protector on.

      I would say it's awaiting collection at Wetherill Park, the tracking just came through in the wrong order, which happens a lot with Aus Post. Awaiting collection at Wetherill Park is correct, they have a PO box there and they pick them up. Posted mine yesterday in Sydney and it got there today - also went via about 6 different aus post facilities haha

    Does anyone know whether Samsung will permit a change of phone colour to use available stock rather than keep an existing pre-order in a "awaiting dispatch" status indefinitely? I've heard Samsung greatly underestimated demand for pre-order sales and that there is now a global shortage of some colours. Also, Australia doesn't appear to be high on the restocking list due to our market size.

      Edit: Just got off the phone with online sales orders, 7th Feb 3pm. Rep advised refund should come 3-5 business days when all other items are full delivered. But some how I don't believe them… I'll wait up to 7 business days and see if I get it at all.

    Newbie here with my first ever post. Need your advice please.

    I ordered the Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra and buds 2 pro through the employee portal on the app. I was charged $1619.
    I aded a trade-in phone for $5 and got the $$350 trade-in bonus. I also stacked up GALAXYAI code along with the default $150 ecosystem bonus for buying the s24 ultra and a $200 CME code (total $805) in discounts.

    I feel the 20% disc and the 5% disc (for first order through the app) has not applied correctly. As per my calculation the final cost should have been $1463. I even called samsung about it but they said don't have access to the portal/app so whatever is applied must be right. I proceeded with my order as I didn't want to miss on the discounts (one of the discounts was expiring on the 6th feb).

    My invoice shows the phone at $1332.43 and the buds 2 pro at $287.22

    No matter how I calculate the maths is not adding up.

    Can anyone of you wizards help my fried brain?

    • Your individual price for the buds 2 pro seems high. They're $279.20 on the education store. Did you definitely get EPP pricing?

        • You definitely used the general store because you cannot use gov portal on samsung app, only education portal. So you gained 5% and lost out on 20%. It is unfortunate but it is what it is.

          Worth doing it on PC and phone to see and compare prices.

          Might not be too late to cancel the order and wait for another deal.

  • Spoke to Samsung re delayed delivery and was advised of a shortage due to the unexpected surge in demand for the S24 line. All expected shipping dates have been adjusted accordingly but they could not advise a date at this time. When I asked if I could expect delivery in Feb, Mar or April they could not confirm when it would happen only that I would receive an update when stock was available. Strap in for a long wait, not a good sign!

    • Pretty disappointing but not unexpected for Samsung to drop the ball on customer experience and service. They could have gotten on the front foot of it by offering to allow customers to cancel their orders for a full refund or wait and be compensated with a small token gesture. Probably should look up who heads up customer experience in Australia via LinkedIn

      • Completely agree! When I told them their handling was unacceptable, the call "dropped out." If Google would price-match what I paid for the S24U on a Google 8 Pro, I'd jump ship in a minute but right now it's more than 2x greater and I have no use for $390 in Google store credit. Google will also probably match the Ultra's AI features by the end of 2024 through firmware updates without Samsung's reported 2025 cut-off.

        I'm not on Linkedin so can't follow up per your advice, I'll just wait and see what happens.

      • No one (with the right state of mind) would advertise that he/she is the head of customer support for Samsung - not a good thing for public viewing or bashing…
        I think Samsung should have some stock/inventory stockpiled in anticipation of pre-orders. Not ramping up production to meet the influx of pre-orders. Just poor planning and lack of trust in their own products in that sense…

        Maybe not ideal for business stand point to stockpile 'cause of storage, handling and etc but this gives more customers fast access to new S24 devices.
        More devices in the market makes greater presence and marketing for them - more people use and brag about the phone etc…
        The faster market penetration for S24 would significantly reduce iPhone's share and can only be beneficial for Samsung… Again, poor management and lack of trust in their own products here!

        Of course, if you are influencers or someone with large social followers, you would probably get an invite for "complimentary" S24 Ultra a week before the launch and no waiting needed. You probably get the box hand-wrapped and with an autographed letter from the customer experience manager with direct email address and 24/7 phone assistance.

        Reading posts in reddit and other forums, it appears to be more delays happening, except for certain countries. About a week to 3 weeks… It appears Samsung prioritises those for obvious reasons… And Australia isn't one of those. Expect more Kristy's "excellent Samsung Experience" emails, peeps!

    Here's how to cancel your accessories!

    1. Log into your Samsung account.
    2. Go to your orders and find the order for the phone and accessories.
    3. Click the dropdown arrow. You will see the phone, 1yr free Samsung Care and you trade up the top, and the accessories separately down lower.
    4. At the top right of the order you will see a Cancel Order button. Press it.
    5. Now select the part of your order you want to cancel.
    6. I chose 'change of mind'.
    7. You will instantly receive an email confirming the cancellation as well as the order details updated to show the accessories have been cancelled.

      I received my phone on Friday but still no refund. Payed by credit card.

      • I don't think so. Once the order has reached "shipped", that means the item(s) had been marked and ready for shipping. You can reach out to their support and ask.

      • yea, apparently for samsung 'order shipped' is not exactly shipped. So as long as you have the option to cancel them I don't see a reason why you can't.

        edit: just saw the other reply. May be you can try as long as it let's you cancel it. The worst that can happen is you receive the accessories and you do a manual return. if you get lucky, you get the refund and the accessories :)

  • Ordered the orange S24 Ultra on the 28th of Jan and at the time it said arrives on 7 Feb 2024 and then a few days later it changed to 'starts shipping from 07/02' where it still sits today. Still stuck on 'awaiting dispatch' with no change in the 07/02 estimated shipping from date. Is it worth flagging it with Samsung support? Can't imagine that many people would've bought the orange colour

    • You'll get a generic response with nothing else.

    • Based on my experience, I wouldn't bother flagging your case to Samsung customer support. Even if you happen to get a "live" person to speak to you and not restricted to a chatbot, their staff don't have access to live stock numbers. A significant number of early orders under the early GALAXI AI promo period (first tranche) remain unfilled. Samsung also appears to have reserved significant presale numbers of AU S24s to official resellers at the expense of their direct online customers. You can go to JB/OW/HN and purchase certain models right now which online are "unofficially" on backorder. The disappointing part of this process is the continued deceptive dates for availability/delivery suggested on the Samsung online store which seem to contradict what staff are saying.

      • but but.. what about the online exclusive colours? The didn't have to reserve that for other resellers.. They just dropped the ball on this one. I am so tempted to cancel the order, but might have to wait a bit to get similar savings on the phone again.

      • Well finally got an update this morning. Still saying awaiting dispatch but the 'start shipping from' date has changed from 07/02 to 22/02! Very annoying considering Samsung takes payment at the time of order rather than at the time of actually shipping the damn order like Amazon. If Samsung only took payment from the time the order ships then I wouldn't be pissed about it to be honest

  • i made a purchase from this deal, a S24U and also a Watch6. However, i accidentally ordered the watch6 bluetooth, but wanted the 4G version.
    When the order came, i opened the box before realising, however didnt actually touch the watch :(

    Now Samsung support say they wont exchange it as my box is opened.

    I know its all my fault, but was wondering if anyone has got any tips on how i can get this bluetooth watch swapped for a 4G watch without incurring too much financial damage?

        lots of places would take things like that back with a restocking fee, but samsung seem to be unwilling

        • Try contacting Samsung E-Commerce Support (https://forms-prod.sprinklr.com/guided-workflows/64a28967637…) and pleading your case. If they can't help ask whether you can do a trade-up as a special case. Officially trade-ups are from Watch 5 Gen and below but no harm in asking. You'll prob need to wear a loss on the deal if they agree. Might also be worth your time to reach out to the [email protected] and [email protected] teams and see if they can help or direct you to the correct area. Best of luck.

      Just visit the store and show them the tracking that it had been delivered to the store. A week to notify is acceptable, most likely your order might have been overlooked.

    • Have ordered a blue 512 S24U here. Got a call back after 3 days.
      They just updated the same which is displayed on the website. High demand, samsung is trying their best, etc. Will be shipped on or before 12th (same is displayed on my order). When I asked is it like 100% guaranteed, it will be shipped by 12th, then it was all blabbering.
      Managed to chat with them a week back, tried my best to get some compensation. Was offered 10% discount on any appliance/smart watch. I argued what kind of compensation it is when I am paying 450$ to get a 50$ discount, they were like sorry I am not the owner of samsung, and this is the instuction given to us, cannot do anything more.

      Just waste of time.

  • Update on the meaning of order status "Shipped" directly from Samsung today. When we see the status "Shipped," Samsung staff see something different at their end:

    Samsung: The status of your order is Shipping Preparation. In ‘Shipping Preparation’ status, Delivery Orders (DO) have been generated and transferred to the warehouse.   • Hi all, recieved the s24u last wed and all setup. Time to return my old note 10.

    Can anyone advise if the s pen of the old Note 10 should be returned to asurion with the device or not? I remember reading that accessories like charger and s pen should be removed from the box before sending the old device back. I wouldnt mind keeping th s pen as it still works with the s24 u as well. Can someone please confirm? My return value was only $5 (defective screen) and i do wish to return the device and not cop up the $60 fee…

      This is the US t&c's which states the pen needs to be sent

      Your trade in is only $5, I would keep the pen if you need it for the ultra. Samsung is only going to keep the $5 if they don't receive the pen if they it violates the T&Cs

      Provided that trade-in value is only $5 and you return your Note 10, maybe keep the pen with you. Its unlikely to have more fees there

        Thanks @hasher22 & @Elquines. The T&C's you sent mention in point 8.2 (b) ensure that You also post to Us Your stylus (where Your Existing Device comes with one).

        I highly doubt the old stylus will ever be used especially when im giving the note 10+ device back. I'll just return it and not risk the $65 at stake for something which will probably never be value to me anyway…

  • Apparently magsafe cases are interfering with the s pen. Was going for an ESR clear case but may change now. Does anyone know a good quality/decent protection clear case with no magsafe for 24 ultra?

    • Using the ESR MagSafe clear case right now. Just tested and wrote the whole screen in Notes and there's no interference.

      • I have a jtech magsafe clear case, and there is no interference unless i add my esr wallet. When that is attached there is a clear problem, dead zones and unresponsiveness. Are you just using the case or another accessory? Ive heard it depends more on the accessories than case itself.

    • It'll arrive. Tracking is often behind with Startrack as they move very quickly.

      Just received my quadlock. s-pen seems to work fine with the magsafe case.

      Only thing I don't like about the case is that there is no "lip" around the screen on the left and right sides. Only at the top and bottom. So seemingly a bit less protection compared to quadlock cases I have used in the past (Samsung S21 & S9).

      Same for me. Changed to shipped on 8th but no updates. Hope we get the tracking today. Generally ST will deliver in a day. As long as it ships by today, I think we will get it by tomorrow.

  • My Samsung S24U initially had a "Get it by" date of 07/02/24, then 12/02/24, and now 13/02/24. Unfortunately, I still have no tracking details, and the status has remained at "Shipped" for over a week now. When I reached out to Samsung's customer service (early hours), they provided me with a Startrack/Auspost Connote (consignment) number. However, when checking on the Startrack connote search page it displayed a message saying, "No items/jobs matched your search in the last 21 days." I'm not entirely sure what this means, but it doesn't seem promising for receiving any delivery either today or tomorrow.

    Adding to the frustration, live chat support remains mostly unavailable, with only the Concierge Team from Samsung Care responding due to a "high volume of interactions." They've now promised an "update" callback at some point in the future. It seems like Samsung's chatbots are the only ones actively engaging with customers at the moment

      Status was changed to shipped since Friday. And there is "get it by 14th Feb".

      And the chat mentioned the delivery could take up to 10 days… I was like (-.-")

      • You won't get a tracking number when it's in the "shipped" stage. You will get a tracking number when it's in the "on the way" stage. If the date is correct, you should receive the tracking number tomorrow.

      • same boat, get it by 14/02. I was really hoping that it would be a realistic timeline since stock has been actually allocated. To be frank I have lost most of the excitement around getting a new phone.

    • Still no update callback from support but Samsung has updated my order to "On the way." Startrack tracking details are also now showing on my AusPost app with the phone having arrived from Mel in Bankstown this arvo and collected by courier.   • Has anyone got their refund of cancelled accessories back? Samsung e-commerce is mucking me about

    Timeline
    30th Jan: Picked up order from store
    7th Feb: Called samsung e-commerce to check on refund, they stated wait up to 5 business days for the refund from the date of collection to process. I advised it's been 7 business days from pick up. Rep said to wait another 5 business days… so she changed her story.
    12th Feb: No e-mail confirmation or refund yet. Called samsung e-commerce to check on refund again, rep said the refund was initiated on the 7th when I called but that's not what the rep on the 7th said to me. He then said to wait until 14th feb, if I don't get the refund, call my bank.

    Conclusion, I don't think it's the banks problem, its a Samsung problem and I purely think they haven't processed the refund.

    Asurion processed my phone return the next day and I saw a pending refund already in my bank account transaction.

    • Ultra 1Tb blue delivered last Friday.
      Accessories refund processed today.
      Pretty impressed considering they have no clue when comparing to my previous Samsung experiences

          You will get an email with a credit note which is like a credit invoice.

          Refund is already pending in my ANZ app.

          Chargeback can be your last resort but a year later you will have Samsung collections calling you asking why you did a charge back lol

          Reason I know this is because they sent me a DOA TV and the customer service was pathetic, no refund till 3 months hence I did a charge back.

          I do agree with you and a lot of others Samsung are all over the place for after sales service, they genuinely suck and have 0 clue.

          I feel your pain because you want your money back. Am still awaiting Asurion as I did a trade and the device got delivered back to them today so would love my $400 refunded back so that’s the last piece of this puzzle!

            Asurion is much more better as they will give you updates on when they got the phone and when they assess the phone (usually a day or 2 later, same day if you're lucky) and they will process the refund on the same day as the assessment.

            I will do a chargeback for sure if I don't get it in the next few weeks. I sent an e-mail using the samsung e-commerce form today and I am glad I got a fast reply from an actual person.

            They said:
            "I acknowledge your email and I sincerely apologize if up until today you still haven't received your refund for the cancelled order. I will have to escalate this to our back-office team for further check. An update will be posted up to 7-10 business days and you will be informed directly through email or phone call.

            In case you haven't received any update within the given timeframe, please let us know so we can send follow-up notice."

    • You're not alone in experiencing difficulties with refunds for cancelled accessories. I got the device on Jan 29. When tracking order from https://shop.samsung.com/au/mypage/orders, it shows UpdateError on Tradein. Do you have the same issue? Check once.
      I've been in touch with Samsung for the past 15 days, but unfortunately, there hasn't been any resolution yet.

  • Good luck to anyone wishing to return accessories. You will be on the phone for about an hour. It is an extremely slow process, and Samsung make it difficult to return items. Online chat is useless. You need to speak with a Samsung call centre person to progress a return and they request photos be sent while on the call to prove it hasn't been opened before they will progress a refund application.

      • For some reason the option was never available when i clicked thru to cancel.

        • I had a similar thing happen to family, returning goods after they are delivered is an extremely frustrating experience. Took 2 months and escalation to fair trading to get the funds back.

    phone received 29th, super happy with it

    asurion approved condition and released $495 back

    • Nah you won't, I got the same e-mail from asurion when tracking stated it's been delivered. They just haven't opened up the package and marked your phone as received. You should get the "we received your phone" email next few days.

    • I did a smart switch but unticked everything besides the stuff I wanted to keep (apps, photos, etc.), most importantly untick settings and start from scratch there

          Get an email on 12/02 reminding me to send in my device or I'll cop a $60 late return fee. Messaged them through the portal the same day about how I've already sent in my device and it was marked as delivered with the tracking #.
          To this day the trade in status is still 'in transit to Asurion' and I haven't received a response.

            Device was marked as received and then assessed as good working order on the 15/02.
            On the portal the security charge says it's been refunded on the 16/02 and to allow up to 10 business days for it to come through.

            Fingers crossed this refund comes through quickly and with no further dramas.

    • Oh no i just checked my trade up account and it says my phone was assessed as non good working order. But there's no details as to why and no photos etc. It says trade in status "graded" but i dont know what that means. I sent Asurion an email but i assume it will take a long time for a response. This is so frustrating, the phone works perfectly, had a couple very small scratches on the screen but the trade in checklist didn't ask about those.

        I have a Samsung fold 4 512gb to send in. I don't want to be screwed around.

      • Did you take any photos of the device before sending it? Asurion have a track record for being a bit dodgy.

        • Yeah i did take a heap of photos and videos, so I'm prepared to fight them on it. So frustrating! Will wait until they actually contact me and then escalate somehow I guess.

    phone delivered 2/2 but no email from Samsung abt refund of cancelled accessories. called today 14/2. they said they are waiting for all order to be delivered. told em how can the cancelled items be delivered. lol

    anyway they said they will expedite the order status to be completed then will get email n refund. will wait for Asurion email to send the trade in device. they did say login to trade up and generate label. but can not be bothered

    • Same issue. Check your order status on order tracking, there might be TradeUpError on order status like mine. Received phone on 29th. I have not received Refund for cancelled accessories yet. I also Generated label and got refund mail from Asurion.

  • Did anyone manage to add Samsung Care+ after making the order? My phone is now delivered but it does not have Samsung Care + in the invoice, I tried rg2.samsungcareplus.com like few users suggested to get it for $1 but can't seem to get it to work. Seeing if anyone else has a similar issue?

            • @newsim: FYI, I went to my closest Samsung store today and told them I selected Samsung care+ when ordering my phone but it's not showing in my invoice or on my phone. And to my surprise they happily added a free 1 year care+ for me.

              May be try your local store :)

                • @marquisite: I have talked to samsung team they told me once your order is completed you will receive it in email. As i received my order on 2nd of feb but somehow in tracking it's still showing being delivered. Even i didn't get rewards point too.. hopefull they will complete my order manually and then would be able to get care+.

        No notification to my phone or email, but when I checked my Auspost account today there was a tracking number. Item was sent yesterday.

        It was the first jotform that was posted within these comments on page 8 from AltasMeow.

                                                    @issachar: Hello just an update, I chose 47 mm LTE, no confirmation spoke to 3 agents and they couldn't confirm if I won or not. I was told to email [email protected] and another agent gave me a 1300 number to promotions team, no reply from the email and i didn't bother calling the 1300 number. I just received a call from 02 8293 5712 (comes up as Samsung Australia on smart ID), agent told me I was an eligible winner and to choose the colour of the band to receive with my watch (5 options, but I couldn't hear much of it due to the thick accent). Hope you get a call soon.
