Can someone provide me with a step by step instruction on how to get all the discounts? I'm a bit confused..

    • +28

      Samsung's sales engineers too

    • +2

Here is what is in my cart :

      • Hello. Could you Tell me please. if I log into the app through an EDU account, then I will have an additional 20% discount, but if through regular email, I will not receive this discount?

  • +4

The stress of jumping the gun too quick or not jumping quick enough!

    • +9

This is standard discount for the next 3 days, won't run out. I will wait until later today to see if any loopholes are discovered

      • I already see the Telcos starting to offer some other deals will hold off for a few hours at least but I'm itching !

        • +3

          S-A-M-E!!

From my last 2 years of experience, mid day today will.bw the best time lol

  • So how do I use the galaxy Ai code? Seems like it pushes me into a lesser bonus

Edit: figured it out, in the cart. Duh.

    • +3

Would only apply if you have more than 200$ accessories in cart

  • +1

How do you use EEP with app??

    • You can't. Only edu store is available on app

  • +2

GALAXYAI is not working on education store

    • +1

Just test again and it works on education store on the app. You'll probably need to add accessories first, then apply GALAXYAI later

    • +2

You need $200 of accessories to be added.

    • Trying to use education store via the shop app and via desktop.

Can't seem to get it to work with the accessories . Keeps missing some or if it does get them listed then the GALAXYAI code won't work even when over $350 .

Do you select the trade in during the 1st page when it prompts for yes or no, or say no, then add a trade in at the very end ?

Whats the tricks? I'm so over this

    • Same here. Tried a few browsers and desktop mode and still breaks.

Got the trade in working from the cart on Gov portal. Does stack with the unique $200 trade in code too

    • same hit no, add to cart and out the checkout you can choose it then

  • +1

Site was glitchy this morning but eventually worked., all codes stacked on the edu site including the trade in bonus code some people got for and extra $200 trade in credit on-top of the existing offers.

    • +1

Still glitchy for me, refuses to let me see the S24 information, aggressively reloads :/

      • Don't click the banner. Scroll down to see if you can click any other links.

  • Good thing is, 256 comes with 12GB ram, there's no need to shell extra for 512

    • +3

Is 256 enough though? Without the MicroSD slot it gives me pause

      • +26

I dont download porn so been working okay

        • +4

The cameras on modern phones are pretty high end, I suspect recording video and pics will chew more space?

          • +5

@hamwhisperer: Photos are sitting at about 5 mb per photo on my s23 Ultra.

For someone who upgrades a phone each year, I would rather pay $25 a year for Google One and store the excess there than $200 for memory upgrade.

            • @abs898: I mean regardless, double space is "free"with this phone at the moment. So that's good

              • +1

@hamwhisperer: Not really, you can get the 256Gb for much cheaper on EDU/EPP store.
Double offer is mainly for gen store

            • +1

@abs898: So do you always get the model with the minimum storage to save money?

        • -1

          ki-mo-chi…?

      • I have a 1TB S22 Ultra. after a few years I'm sitting at 50% used.

If I go for this I think I'll scale down to the 512gb as the SYSTEM is chewing up 217GB

        • +3

That's weird because I have 23 Ultra 512 with 70% empty and system is only taking 17GB
Have a lot of apps, 16k photos, sure not all are high res but a few thousand taken on this phone.

          • @abs898: I think newer versions of Android are more locked down so you can't view the root folders on device so it gets lumped into system or other files.

      • +2

They would sell a lot more if they had a micro sd card which support cards up to 1TB

        • Thanks for this comment, I didn't realise that these new models don't come with an SD card slot any more!!! My Galaxy Note 10+ just had the back cover peel off after 4 years so it's no longer waterproof and is now useless for my work. These phones just don't last, no point paying thousands for something that only lasts 2-4 years.

  • +24

Looks like the exynos CPU is back

    • +4

      Bugger
Edit… but ultra is fine. Snapdragon?

    • +3

      No thanks

    • +5

      yeah don't do it

      • Is there any way to confirm that with certainty?

      • +7

Official website said otherwise, it seems that S24 and S24+ comes with Deca-Core CPU and S24 U comes with Octa-Core CPU (SD 8 Gen 3).

        • how scared must you be not not even advertise your CPU for fear your customers will not want to buy it?

those power users that need to know should be provided that information, to hide it is disingenuous.

      • +14

S24/+ per Samsung's Aus website early states "decacore" which is Exynos this year. No deal.

      • +4

Seems like AU stock will receive Exynos

Samsung's website pretty much confirmed it if you compares the specs table between the AU and US stores.

        US:Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy
        https://www.samsung.com/us/smartphones/galaxy-s24-ultra/buy/…

        AU:3.39GHz, 3.1GHz, 2.9GHz, 2.2GHz Octacore
        https://www.samsung.com/au/smartphones/galaxy-s24-ultra/buy/

        • +1

That's just the + and normal tho right, not Ultra?

      • +2

Only the ultra is getting snapdragon. 24 and plus is getting crappy exynos. You can check VodafoneAU review.

        • +1

          crappy exynos

Yet to be determined, and there doesn't seem to be much wrong with Samsung's silicon process this go around vs TSMC's N4P and early N3.

          • @jasswolf: Then Samsung should've put their Exynos in the S24U

            • +3

@Fobsessive: It doesn't support Wifi 7, has a slightly slower modem, and it's slightly less performant (about 5%). It's possible the GPU or VPU is also less efficient in specific workloads. The kernel and driver development team would also be much smaller given the market share Qualcomm has.

Everything else coming through in terms data and numbers suggests it's the tiniest bit behind Qualcomm this year, but opting for it is what has facilitated the screen upgrade for the S24 and S24+.

Here's my comment with some of the data.

              • @jasswolf: Thanks for your comment and link, great info so far. I have one Q: I read that the Exynos 2200 and SD8G1 sucked because of Samsung's foundry/node being poor. Do you know if this is still something to be hesitant about for Exynos 2400?

                • @Fobsessive: The performance data there matches up with the claims made by Samsung that I've cited in my post, namely that they're fairly close to parity with TSMC's N4P, which is what the SD8G3 is using.

The clocks are slightly behind for largely identical parts of the architecture - most notably the RAM - and they seem to have accounted for the density deficit by giving less compute units to the GPU than what Qualcomm did, which pretty much only impacts gamers. I suspect Samsung will close the GPU gap a tad though, as it seems to do well in the more synthetic/isolated benchmarks.

Ok there's some fresh data overnight: with early firmware (ie. it will update before launch), you're looking at about 9% less battery life all else being equal. I expect this gap to be closed to virtually nothing as Samsung refine the Exynos implementation, but the minor performance gaps will largely hold.

            • @Fobsessive: Using SD is very much a marketing strategy as well, to further segment the s24 galaxy line. Evidently, it works quite well given some comments here

    • +11

Ok sweet, thank you for the info. Saved me a grand.

      See you next year folks.

    • +3

Waiting to see non-paid review for
Exynos chip before I make my decisions to upgrade from trusty S20FE.

      • +4

imo, all reviewers are paid. Whether directly or indirectly…

Youtube / vendor / affiliate links etc

It's a matter of finding one you think is the least biased.. any suggestions?

        • I find the major mainstream does ok job, Mrwhostheboss, MKB, etc. Sometimes its the little guys, Techspurt has less bias.

          • +1

@ruthlesskid: bro mrwhostheboss is the biggest shill nowadays. he ONLY does paid sponsorships. At least he is pretty transparent about it though.

            • @Sporange: I found his reviews to be very good though.

      • Just wait for next year. Rumors said that s25 is getting massive changes.

        • isn't that every generation though?

          to me it's more about:

          1. Can your phone do everything you want to do?
          2. Are you tired of your phone?
          3. Is the new phone something you would be ok with buying?
          4. Are there any good deal/promos going on?
      • I just upgraded to the s24Ultra 256gb from the s20FE haha

I didn't feel the need to upgrade before, but the new s24 lineup was too tempting.

        • trading in my old s7 for $450 additional discount was great hahahaha.
    • +1

Yeah I was tossing up between S24+ and Oneplus 12, and I think that will do it for me.

      • Is the one plus curved?

        • The few previews I can find of the Chinese model would suggest it has curved edges, yes, but the "Global" model is unveiled next week on the 24th, so that might be slightly different, I'm not sure.

Either way, it has a SD Gen 3, bigger battery, faster charging, brighter screen, larger screen, and the device should be cheaper than a S24+, but you will have to import it from outside Australia because Oneplus still refuses to sell their devices directly into Australia.

          • +1

@Morkai: I just saw it's curved, also having to import is a no go. So I guess I go without another year. I might make 6.5 years on my current phone, incredible.

If S24+ had Ultra cameras, snapdragon processor and IR I'd pay $2000 for it.

I miss the old days when phones were actually good.

            • @hamwhisperer:

If S24+ had Ultra cameras, snapdragon processor and IR I'd pay $2000 for it.

You've just described the S24 Ultra, sans IR.

              • @jasswolf: Except it's HUGE. With nasty sharp corners, making it feel larger than it already is.

                • @hamwhisperer: You want it to be rounded, but not curved, but flat? Pick two.

You're also happy for it to be 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7 mm, but 162.3 x 79 x 8.6 mm is just too much? There is no increase in dimensions that is over 0.4 cms.

I think you've been staring at numbers and information so long that you're not absorbing what they're trying to convey: the size difference and the screen-to-body ratio regression of the Ultra is entirely explained by the camera array and the S-pen… and the lack of rounded corners reflects that they wanted to keep the size down and viewing experience uncropped.

All of that being said, the S24+ is way better value anyway: the cameras are more than good enough, just have to not go overboard with some aspects of post-processing.

                  • @jasswolf:

You want it to be rounded, but not curved, but flat? Pick two.

Flat display, curved corners, curved rear.
See: Pixel 8 Pro, very good physical design, crap processor, modem, other stuff (sadly)

All of that being said, the S24+

Exynos, send directly to bin, do not pass go.

          • @Morkai: Damn that's sounding pretty good I might have to look at a Oneplus phone again

    • +1

It's an inferior CPU, is it?

      • -1

        Very much so

        • +2

You have zero data on this. In truth, the 4LPP+ process in use has some data, and there's even some benchmarks out there. And you can compare them!

It's genuinely a very close 2nd to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and we should see benchmarks that confirm this. Assuming it's not been horribly architected in a way that doesn't reveal itself on benchmarks, the only concern comes in terms of optimising execution of that (firmware, software), but Samsung have already committed to 7 years of updates.

You need to stop fretting so much about a phone and either research things properly, or wait for full technical data to come through.

          • -2

@jasswolf: I've been using Samsung phones for 12 years. Exynos is rubbish, period.

            • +2

@hamwhisperer: Exynos wasn't rubbish 8 years ago. The key elements are the underlying silicon process, and the way ARM were doing their GPUs. They've fixed the latter - though Samsung have partnered with AMD anyway - and the silicon is within touching distance at the moment.

Next year it will potentially be fairly even as well silicon wise, maybe even a brief Samsung lead. Qualcomm have Nuvia's IP finally hitting phones then, but ARM are making a big jump too, so it's an open race with Apple at that point.

If you're not understanding the terms in use here, click the links and look… I know people say this most years, but it's actually a year where Samsung has returned to competency.

  • +2

Seems like Westpac customer no longer has access to EPP pricing…

    • Yep, been missing all year

      • only recently though as I last (pre Christmas) bought a soundbar from the Westpac EPP…

been refreshing the westpac samsung EPP today but to no avail….

and no edu account so it looks like no dice this year!

    • Back now!

  • EEP website is not even working

    • +1

It's working fine for me through my employer.

  • -5

can anyone confirm whether the S24 Ultra comes with MicroSD slot?

    • +5

No, no SD slot. I don't think they've had it for a few generations now

    • +7

Seems like you have been asleep for a few years

    • +1

No, hasn't been for a long long while.

The storage on modern phones internally nowadays is far superior to your average SDcard performance by a long shot.

      • Yeah but that doesnt matter when its all media that fills it up.

    • If you want sd slots you have to get the A54 which sacrifices wireless charging but a very good device otherwise

  • +3

does $100 loyalty from chat and 10% off loyalty from email work wiith EDU?

    • Did they give you any for s24, usually they offer loyalty for older models?

    • My 10% loyalty code doesnt seem to work

  • When i click trade in option via browser, it reverts to homepage. Tried 2 browsers. S24 ultra order page via gov store

    • Hit no then add it from cart works for me

    • need to select No then add the rest to cart at checkout you can select trade and add the device

    • How can i access the gov store, I am NSW gov employee. Can you share the specific portal name which i should google to login

  • -1

Anyone know how to get an email that works with the edu store?

    • +16

      Educate yourself

      Name checks out

    • +2

      Be a uni student.

  • -7

    So 1759 - 20% = $1407 *20% off
    1407 - 350 = $1057 *$350 vouchers
    1057 - 250 = $807 *Trade Bonus
    807 - trade value = upgrade cost?

Is that right? Can't be surely? It's like $50 to upgrade from s23 ultra.

    • +1

      from where? what vouchers?? info?

    • +4

      $1759 is the 20% off

      • +1

        Ah ok.

      • Gotcha seemed too good haha

  • Can anybody see the price of 1tb galaxy s24 ultra please?

    • +2

2799 retail, 2239 EPP/GOV/EDU before trades and discounts

      • Thanks so much!

  • Does anyone know what will be the invoice date for this sort of preorder? Is it dated to the shipping day, or when the preorder is put in? Thinking to time it to the next travel for TRS

    • +1

It will be the order date

    • +3

Tax invoice date should always be shipment date. This is applicable for all big entities.

  • Other than "AI EVERYTHING!" any real upgrades from S23 ultra? Camera seems like a downgrade (love my 10x zoom).

    • +6

if you count the flat screen as an upgrade :p

      • +5

Yes. Flat screen is an upgrade. I dropped my phone from about 40cm height and it hit the part where it starts to curve and screen cracked. Am forever paranoid about it happening again. Losing 10x zoom is a major bummer.

        • +1

I watched first impression on YT from MKBHD and the 5x camera is an addition and 10x zoom still there so I don't think it's a downgrade

          • @SwaTTer: Its the 10x zoom camera. Now its 5x and 10x is digital which is a downgrade

            • +2

@OZcheepsk8: Except early shots from sammobile show the 10x digital zoom using the 50mp 5x lens with bigger aperture actually looking just as good, so we'll have to see. I was disappointed at first too!

            • +1

@OZcheepsk8: 5x zoom, but 4x pixel count, so should theoretically yield same resolution as previous 10x when cropped.

          • @SwaTTer: yeah, saw that! Also means you gain 6-9x (digital) zooms with reasonable resolution.

    • Does 7 years of software update count?

      • It's nice but I cant imagine still having the phone in 7 years. If I haven't killed it in 3 years I'd probably treat myself to an upgrade anyhow.

      • Is it for real? Are they now providing 7 years of software update?

        • Yes, they just match up with Pixel phone, it's on the keynote.

    • Apparently AI features will be coming to the S23 and flip 5 and gold 5 in the future.

      • All links back to Google Gemini, seems likely with an update

    • +1

And that AI Galaxys is basically rehashed google happening in cloud. I kind was suspecting that since a lot of the so called AI looked exactly like Pixel but worse in some cases aka recorder transcript which essentially they are doing themselves.
      https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_reveals_galaxy_ai_is_powere…

  • +2

Edu/EPP store seems to be the cheapest at the moment, compared to last year where gen store had a better deal

    24 Ultra 512GB 1919.2 + Watch 6 40 373.32 - Trade in($165) - 250 - 150 - 200 = 1692.52

  • Is the galaxyai code not working for anyone else? I get an alert that $200 worth it stuff needs to be added to the order beforehand but it doesn't apply either way.

    • +2

Add a min of $350 as there is an existing 150 discount

      • That worked! Thank you!

  • What would be the net price for Ultra 520GB after all the hoops ~$935?

    • Would buy it at that price.

      • I would too but I don't think that is the case. I just tried and found that the $350 can only go towards phone accessories and not the phone itself.

  • My flip 4 is pretty scratched up.
Definitely not 'free from scratches and cosmetic defects'.

Anyone traded in a working fine but slightly dinged up phone direct @ Samsung?
If so how much $ did you get removed from original trade in offer due to condition?

  • Hey guys.
I have an s23u which i broke the screen and had repaired by an authorised Samsung repairer in Melbourne.
I would like to upgrade too the s24u and take advantage of the trade-in bonuses. Will the fact that my screen was replaced affect my eligibility?
    Thanks in advance.

    • +2

      wont affect

    • Theres a question that asks if the phone has non genuine parts.

Assuming it is an authorised repairer, then they should be using genuine parts.

Id say no, it wont affect

  • +1

The JB trade-in values are better. If you don't value the Care+ and accessories deal it might be the way forward. E.g I can get $1300 for my mint Z fold5 512GB whereas Samsung is only offering $960. Has anyone done the trade in in-store at JB before? I don't really want to use Asurion and have the trade-in chage applied whilst they wait for my device.

    • -6

      Thank you!

I originally bought the S23 Ultra for $600ish of samsung edu..trading it in at JB is $800.

The total for s24+ is $250.

I did not use the s23 ultra at all..the size wasnt right for me.

      Cheers!

  • -1

If you have any interest in getting accessories, more storage or other devices, EPP isn't for you. This is probably turns out to be lowest dollar cost for buying the phone itself outright, but almost any other offer right now is better value, e.g.

Samsung non-EPP/EDU: double storage, same trade-in bonus, 1 year Care+, free accessories
Major telcos: free accessories, free other devices (Telstra: Tablet, Optus: Watch/Buds)
Retail: trade-in bonus, gift cards, etc.

    • +1

Not true, EDU/EPP is turning out to be the best option even with double storage and accessories are cheaper which increases the net discount.
      24 Ultra 512GB 1919.2 + Watch 6 40 373.32 - Trade in($165) - 250 - 150 - 200 = 1692.52
      + Free S Care+

      • -1

Yeah OK that's fair. they way Samsung shows prices/discounts on their website is a bit confusing (i.e. it's not obvious until you actually do the math). The comment still stands wrt the bonus offers from telco/retail though.

    • Am I missing something, only the EPP is offering 20% off? The other retailers there is no discount?

      • Yeah but they're throwing in a LOT of bonus accessories. The telcos are doing $1k worth of other Samsung devices, probably to try and compete with the Retailers who usually do high value bonus gift cards or $0 device deals.

        • There was a $0 upfront instore HN deal posted earlier, and it has been unpublished by OP. Anyone have info if this is real or not? Or any other upfront with cancellation payout? Normally it's optus.

Edit: just called my local HN and they do in fact have a $0 upfront starting from 69/mo. Preorder

      • Doesn't work for me

        • Try with the same combination of accessories they originally had and then remove what the user said

  • +4

Galaxy AI features will be provided free of charge until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices.

  • Glad I just bought an S23 late last year and didn't wait for this!

      I need a S23 256GB now

  • -4

Does Samsung S24 ultra comes with the Spen

    • yes

    • what pen

  • +2

    Exynos S24/S24+…no deal…

  • +2

a year of samsung care is such a shitty additional, something useful like buds would be much better

    • Gives me the confidence to carry phone without a case

      • But Samsung care don't come over scratch or chip right?

        • +1

          It's no questions asked replacement,

          • @abs898: Really? So if you just decide to swap brand new one after 11month , that's OK too?

            • +1

@asianbargain: They give you a refurbished phone though, which is brand new looking

  • +1

Geez, been wrestling with this thing trying to get a base S24 without the education store redirecting me back to the homepage.

    S24U works fine though.

  • I got two voucher $200 which was sent my Samsung recently not sure if you can use them here.

  • anyone else having trouble adding a trade in code? It keeps saying invalid.

    • Same, it says its invaild. Go figure

    • Make sure you type it in caps

      • +17

ANYONE ELSE HAVING TROUBLE ADDING A TRADE IN CODE? IT KEEPS SAYING INVALID.

jokes aside, i did type in caps. did your code go through?

        • You have to turn off find my phone then it works

    • okay, i figured i can't use the trade-in app anymore (only in store for that).

did the same on the website, and got through.

      • @fidelio how did you put trade-in ID ? mine keeps saying invalid either on the app or website

        • +1

Don't use the trade in app, go thru the website or shop app

  • Anyone else have issues when you press the 'yes' to trade in, it just takes you back to the main screen (Government store).
    Tried on two devices, …

    • For that someone above said press no and then do the trade in at the checkout.

I'm trying to get a S24 base - it redirects me the moment I scroll down

    • +2

Try this: press No on the option selection page, then proceed to add accessories (should add up to $350 worth of accessories), then at checkout page (same page to add promo codes), select add trade-in

      • ok thanks both will try that.

      • edit: should add more than $350 to make the code GALAXYAI works

  • +2

This is anecdata so take it for whatever you think it's worth - but Asurion are a massive pain in the ballbag to deal with. I'm not saying don't trade in through Samsung but please take care to document very well the condition of your device and how you package it.

  • anyone know if the coupon code works for 2 devices? or should buy it twice in 2 transactions?

  • I added 150$ worth of accessories to my cart and when I go to checkout it isn't being taken off the price and isn't showing up as free???

    • They will take 150 off your phone

      • No they don't, I figured it out. You have to add at least 150$ worth for the coupon to apply, I had like 148$ worth in my cart

  • +4

Before you send your device to Asurion, make sure you take pics with date stamp of all sides of your phone as well as video, with screen off and on. I take the video with today's news showing on my monitor. Also take a pic of the device in the box and the shipping box. Also take a pic with the parcel on the post office counter! You will need every possible backup when dealing with Asurion. And yes I've had to use said pics in previous dealing with Asurion.

  • So if i do the $250 bonus trade-in, i can go to the megathread and request another code for an extra $200? Making the total bonus trade in fo be $450?

    • Correct

  • Can you use Samsung Care+ to upgrade to s24 Ultra? Thats why I thought I took up the option last year when buying the S23 Ultra

    • +2

No they give you the same model as you have now

  • +1

Okay, so I saw people trade-in deal last year for the Samsung 23/+ and Ultra. The trade-in is the only thing you get charged for, but I forgot what it is. You don't need to send it; just make it $0. You still get the trade-in bonus.

    • You cant make it $0, it has to be a minimum of $1
If you don't send the device, they just charge an extra $30

      • ah i see so min $1 charge $30
Cause my Phone is S21+ $5.00
do i just get charge $35?

        • If you dont sent it in then yes

          • @abs898: So one could do a 'trade-in' and not send their old device and they just charge you $60? That's it? They wouldn't charge you for the trade-in value?

      • 6 Nov 2023
This is the final reminder to return your device within the next 24 hours, otherwise we will charge you a late return fee of up to $60, which is non-refundable.

        • They say that, but from the last 2 years, they have only charged me $30.

          "Up to $60".

In 2022 they charged the full 60

        • +1

Stupid question, but will it affect the credit score? Or can I trading in s23 Ultra 512GB but not sending mine and still get the coupon?

          • @BitcoinKing: No it doesnt. It's not a line of credit as they are holding the pre-authorisation amount on your card

            • @abs898: So how much would I be changed? For example, when I trade in Apple Watch Series 6 GPS (-110) but not send the item? Would that be only up to 60 bucks? Thanks for answering.

              • +1

@BitcoinKing: I would recommend if you are not planning to return, answer trade in questions in a way that the amount becomes $1, eg, screen broken, scratches etc.

In that case you will be charged $1 + $30-60 ( my bet is on 30)

                In your example, 110+30(or 60)

    • wait how did you get the phone for 1 x Galaxy S24 Ultra
      Titanium Violet, 512 GB
      SM-S928BZVFATS
      $1,339.20 ??

      • it's the way Samsung applies the discount codes across the items in the cart, it normally applies most of discount to the phone and minimal across the accessories.
        For example
if $400 worth of codes were being used $300 would come off the phone while the other $100 gets distributed across the accessories in the cart

      • Still figuring out $1,532.66 Phone with $5 Trade in

    • You'll need to pay back the $330 + $30 (according to below, you'll get email saying they'll charge $60 but only actually charge $30)

      • yea i figured so i did $5 trade-in and i think i still get $250 Trade bonus
i think i am using a calculator and math right now

going try get $200 Bouns trade in voucher through live chat

  • +6

Managed to get a $200 bonus trade-in voucher through live chat.

    256GB S24 Ultra (Titanium Orange)
    Dual wireless charger
    Clear Case
    4 Pack of Smart Tags
    45w charge brick

    $665 (Trading in s23 Ultra 512GB)

Got to be as low as you can go other than trading a flasher phone.

    • Wow, which area of the chat service did you speak to to get the bonus trade-in voucher and what did you say? Nice find mate!

      • +3

Went to live chat on Samsung home page and told them the link from an email I received about a $200 trade-in voucher just bought me to the Samsung homepage, asked if I was trading in (said yes), gave me a code starting with CME.

        • Legend thanks mate, will give it a crack now.

        • Does it work with EDU/EPP?

          Sweet!

        • tried jumping on live chat.. "there are 203 customer(s) ahead of you" … lol, are these 203 other customers also looking for a code?

          • +2

@itsmehuey: Hot tip, Go Support > Product Query > Mobile Device > Voucher Enquiries & Concerns > Connect Live Agent

No wait the two times I've done it this morning

            • @Jakeo: thank you so much! I'll give it a try.

              • @itsmehuey: To use the 200$ voucher, you can't be on the education store and it has to be the s24 ultra

                • @eckeau2: I'm assuming it'll be same on the Govt/EPP store as well?
Just got to front of the queue on chat and it started a brand new session with 260+ people in front again.. siiiggghh….

If it doesn't work on the EPP portal then I won't bother with it.

                • @eckeau2: voucher works on edu store

                • @eckeau2: that's crap. why wouldn't they enable it for all of the S24 devices!? my voucher didn't work on the EPP store.

                • @eckeau2: *For a limited time, eligible recipients may receive an additional unique voucher code valued at $200 in bonus trade-in credit that can be used towards the purchase of a smartphone series device unveiled at the 2024 Samsung Australia Unpacked event (18th January 5:00AM AEDT). Trade-In amount is deducted from the cost of the new unveiled smartphone series device. Bonus trade-in credit is in addition to any trade-up residual value.

does not say it is limited to just S24 ultra.. the site is just being buggy.

            • @Jakeo: Just tried this and they asked for a screenshot of the email. I said I wasn't able to get one right now, they said there was no record of a code being sent to my email address and couldn't assist. Anyone else having this problem?

            • @Jakeo: Mate, probably a dumb question but is this (support > product query > mobile device..) on the Samsung website?

              • @BargainHuntahh: Yeah on the Samsung Australia website, wait for the bubble with the guys face in the bottom right corner.

        • UPDATE - After finally connecting with their chat they offered me a code after a bunch of questions.
The code does indeed work on the EPP Portal.

Managed to grab the S24 Ultra 512GB, case and a S9 FE tablet for just over $1600 after all codes, discounts and loyalty points on EPP.

        • Whats the expiring on the cme code?

        • Got one from live chat, said I recall getting the email with the trade in discount but can't find the email. They gave me a new code straight away, no questions asked. Waited an hour but no issues.

    • great find - keen to hear how you did it

      • See above, the email I received was for an evoucher, which wouldn't be applicable to reducing the cost of the phone I think but managed to snag a trade-in voucher just by saying thats what it said.

        • The $200 CME code is a bonus trade in code for the phone.

GALAXYAI is a bonus $200 for accessories (but need to spend 350 on accessories to use it, as it bundles with a $150 built in code)

          • @rbimdxe: I was able to get a code thanks! However now having issues at checkout, It's not letting me add my trade in value giving me this error" The Trade-in for your Existing Device was not added to the cart because the discount exceeds the New Device price. The remaining trade-in value allowed is $278.20 "

    • Removed the wireless charger and brick, went down to $530

    • Going to lock in a similar trade in soon.
Mine is somewhat lower but that is because I got less accessories than you.

In the end its a great deal in my opinion to upgrade to the newest flagship phone!

    • Is this through Epp/Gov or normal site?

      • +1

        Education Store

    • Thanks i got the 200$ coupon CME
Will add it when i get home

    • +1

So basically you paid $665 for some accessories they otherwise can't sell and a downgrade on your existing phone..Samsung must love you.

Not to mention you traded in a phone you could have easily sold on eBay for $900…I know the sales are appealing, but I wouldn't have traded an S23 Ultra

      • I got $795 base trade-in + $250 bonus + $200 bonus

Seems like more than $900 to me?

Also ended up getting the A9+ Tab (plan to sell off) and Clear case instead of the accessories, all up was $447

        Think your reaching my guy.

    • UPDATE

Went through the Samsung Shop app (5% off first purchase):

      256GB S24 Ultra (Titanium Orange)
      Dual wireless charger
      Clear Case
      2 X 4 Pack of Smart Tags

      $477.75 (Trading in s23 Ultra 512GB)

GALAXYAI code wasn't applied properly before.

Emailed loyalty@samsung for a potential 10% off code, waiting with baited breath.

      • Education portal?

        • +1

          Yep

          • @Jakeo: how do you login to your Edu portal account in the app please?

            • @OZcheepsk8: In the menu tab on the bottom right their was a "Samsung Education Store" button that changed the app over

      • What was the subtotal price without including the value of your phone trade-in?

        • $1667.04

  • Cannot purchase phones and watches currently on App from Edu store.

  • Is it possible to login into EPP on an App rather than desktop?

  • BEWARE! EXYNOS! for S24 and the plus model. Would have probably bought the S24, not after how bad the exynos chips are (poor performance, yuck battery life - just look at how bad Pixel phones are). Not so sad to be skipping this year.

  • +2

Just be aware that if something goes wrong with your order directly with Samsung, you're dead in the water. 6 weeks after they sent me the wrong device and I sent it back, they're still delaying sending me the right item. No escalation points, no accountability - just appalling service. Pricing was sharp but now I think it wasn't worth the saving given the headaches they've put me through. Almost at the point of doing a charge back.

    • What was the item? I've sent items back for refund and it was a very simple process. Might be worth just asking for your money back if you've already sent it back to them rather than push for them to send the correct product.

      • Samsung Tab S9 - got sent the base model S9 FE (not even in the right colour). Sent it back and they've been stuffing me around for 6 weeks. Took an email to the CEO's office to get the replacement order created but now they won't ship it. Will have to resort to a charge back if it doesn't come in the next 2 weeks. I'm only waiting as I got a good price and used my 10% off on the Samsung app which they won't re-instate.

    • Always pay with PayPal and if Samsung screw you around contact PayPal and paypal will refund you

    • Yeh, I've had nothing but dramas with Samsung Support.

  • +8

An extremely poor decision to go with Exynos chipset for S24 and S24+. This goes on to show that Samsung doesn't value the Australian market.

    • +2

      Agreed.

    • Exactly. After buying an S21 with their substandard Exynos, never again.

    • Correction. The markets outside the US and a handful of other territories.

The seven years of support I thought I read only applies to snapdragon models. Someone might want to fact check that.

    • Eh it just shows they don't care about the small phone market. Most consumer prefer Ultra. Just like most iPhone consumers prefer the Pro Max.

  • You cannot proceed with Trade-in as the Trade-ID is invalid.
anyone else struggling with samsung trade? not sure why its not working.. im so stressed out nothing is working on this stupid site.
when i check app on phone it says in store only??????? what is going on here?? help please

    • see above my comment.

I needed to do it using the website, and was able to do it. not the app.

        • Do the trade-in valuation.

  • How does the trade-in aspect work now?
I'm in the EPP Portal and adding my old Note 8 which is super damaged but it auto-populates that everything is in 'good working order'.

Previously with the TradeUp option they had install an app and specify the condition of the device.
    I'm assuming this has changed?

    • +1

After the checkout page they will ask for the conditions of the device where you can select screen condition, battery, turning on etc

      • Cheers for that, will give it a go 👍

    • whats 150 eco voucher?

      • thats the bonus Samsung is giving out to all pre-orderers. $150 worth of accessories.

  • +1

Is it worth going from my S22 Ultra to a S24+ because that's like $500 pay in after everything it seems?

    • Yes if you are after any of these:
      Snapdragon 8 gen 3 vs 8 gen 1
      Much better camera
      Live translation
      Better flat screen
      2600 nits

      • +2

They are looking to buy S24+ which is exynos, not snapdragon

        • +1

Oh right, thanks for that. I thought upgrading to s24 ultra
If thats the case then I would hold, or wait for s23+

    • +9

I reckon its worth upgrading your phone every year for $500 if you plan on upgrading anywhere once every 5 years.
Renewed warranty, stop over depreciation of old phone & battery and you always have the latest model phone.
Ends up being the same cost over 5 years but you get more benefits / latest phone each year.

  • -1

My first post here. Kindly be gentle :) How about Harvey Norman 300$ gift card + 200$ exclusive gift card (I received an email this morning with 200$ exclusive additional gift card) if you had pre registered interest on their website ? This may be worth for someone who wants to get something else apart from the Samsung accessories?

  • Does anyones unique $200 code work?

    • yes works in edu store

  • I bit the bullet on the S23 ultra 512gb cost me $1674 with an old phone trade in worth $5 which my BIL was going to put in one of the phone recycling bins anyways.

    bonus items
    1x standing grip case
    1x smarttag2 4pack
    1x screen protector
    1x ultra clear case
    1x galaxy bud fe

    • +5

But why get S23 ultra when S24 ultra is available for preorder

      • +2

Sorry typo I meant S24 ultra.

  • +1

    S24 ultra 256gb
    tab a9+ 128gb

    $567.82 trading in s23u 256gb

Will sell the tab for about $300, so total should be about $250 for the upgrade. Not bad.

    • How did you come to that number?
Galaxyai code needs to be on accessories

      • I just added the tablet and it worked.

For some reason when I added 64gb it didn't, when I added 128gb it did.

      • +1

tab is listed as an accessory

  • That Ai word gping to be dropped like mad this yesr depaite fact theyve basicslly been using it for years now

  • Can i get a price listing for the Samsung Galaxy Watches on the Education Portal please?

  • Anyone having the issue where the website trade-in isn't letting them actually put the IMEI/condition details and then spits out this error:" The Trade-in for your Existing Device was not added to the cart because the discount exceeds the New Device price. The remaining trade-in value allowed is $278.20 "

Edit: Fixed, just had to do the trade in deal on the first page and not the checkout (contrary to the guide above)

    • I got the same error.. This process might seem stupid but what I did, leave the first phone in the cart and go through the process and add an additional phone with a trade in, then remove the old one.
I've managed to get the Galaxy S24 (256GB), Galaxy Buds2 Pro and 10,0000mAh Battery Pack for $525 (with S22 trade-in).
Note: I used the education store.

  • Upgrading from S23 Ultra to S24 Ultra.

    For S24 Ultra 256GB
    2x (4 pack) Samsung Tag2 Pack
    3x Samsung Tag2 Black
    S23 Ultra 256GB trade in.

    $200 coupon
    GALAXYAI coupon
$7 off (Samsung points used from previous purchase)
Samsung Shop 5% off first time buyer (or 4% Cashrewards otherwise).

    Total came to $519.
Plus I get a whopping 11 total Samsung Tag2's! They retail at $55 so $605 retail value right there.
I'll probably keep 4 of them and sell the rest off at a low price to bring my total cost even lower.
    Good deal!

  • Keeping my base S23 with snapdragon gen 2 thx. Lame upgrade.

  • My tradein CME- code doesnt work, both on EPP and normal store

    • +1

Are you buying a normal S24? My code is only valid for S24 Ultra as well. Can someone confirm if the CME code also works for normals S24's? Thanks

      • +1

also trying to figure this out, code won't work for the base s24. Currently 230th in the queue with the chat xD

        • ah they said its only valid for the ultra. managed to get it to work for that.

    • According to the email it does say "use towards the purchase of a smartphone series device unveiled at unpacked".
However appears they forgot to allow it to be applied on S24/S24+ and only works on S24 Ultra.

  • Im not getting the 250 trade in bonus , maybe because Google pixel ?

    • +1

I'm trading in a Pixel 7 and got the $250 bonus trade in amount.

The $200 bonus trade in voucher CME xxx on the other hand is not working for a base s24.

      • $200 bonus trade in isn't working for a S24+ either. Trading in S22+…
Might have to ask support after work

        • Yeah, like others said I think it's only for the S24U…

I was in the queue, patiently waited for the 250 people in front of me to be done, then when it was my turn the chat closed lol. Need to get back to work so will have to try later.

    • I worked It out, had to go back through the whole checkout procedure and select yes trade in on the first page

      • for Ultra or S24/S24+?

        • Ye it worked for s23 I got $250 trade in voucher (plus value of trade in device)

  • Sorry if dumb question but the double storage deal i saw mentioned elsewhere doesnt apply to the EPP?

    • +1

      Double Storage doesnt apply unfortunately.

  • I always have issues it seems with Samsung order site via the Westpac business (to get 15% discount). It tells me I can do a trade-in and get $250 bonus. I get sent the $200 bonus e-voucher questions or whatever but I never see questions. and then later I get an email saying hey you didn't complete the questions. I try different browsers, same issue. ofcourse, the normal price website all works perfectly fine with trade-ins and discount codes (but it costs more, so I don't maximise discounts).

    • +1

Don't really need the answers for the voucher that you get for the questions - I assume you're referring to the 4 questions or whatever? The code for that is GALAXYAI.

  • Can you combine with loyalty discount as well if you have one?

    • -1

Yeah it usually stacks on top, if you're not going to use will happily take off your hands :)

  • Upgrading from S22 Plus 256gb to S24 Ultra 512gb

    Method:
S22+ Trade in Value ($430) + $250 trade in bonus
    GALAXYAI coupon
$200 Trade-In coupon (I wasn't emailed this but pestered live chat and they gave me one)

    Total came to $1024 for:

    -S24 Ultra 512GB
    -Galaxy Bud Pro 2 Headphones
    -45W charger
    -Clear Case

I will sell my existing galaxy buds 2 headphones hopefully for $75-100 to recoup some costs further.

    • Thanks for the break down including value of trade in. Im upgrading from 22+ to 24 ultra as well.

      • No worries! It could be even cheaper if I went for the 256gb storage version but I find that I am constantly running out of storage hence went for 512gb this time

    • How hard was it to get the trade-in coupon? Considering this as I'm in queue for them too

  • Very strange, I followed the instructions from the post and selecting more than $350 accessories (some smart tags and chargers) and the web page is still displaying I need to select more than $200
"The promo code GALAXYAI didn't apply. Please ensure you have a min. of $200 worth of ecosystem devices/accessories added to your cart,…."
Do you have the same issue?

    • +1

add $350 worth of accessories first, then add all vouchers at the checkout screen.

      • Thank you. I found that not all accessories are entitled to have that amount. For example, if I choose some tags and chargers, system won't apply the code. However if I selected Buds2 pro with a charger and a case, it works.

    • Yes I can't apply it. They're site scripting for discounts just doesn't quite compute properly.

      • I found that not all accessories are entitled to have that amount. For example, if I choose some tags and chargers, system won't apply the code. However if I selected Buds2 pro with a charger and a case, it works.

  • I'm going to purchase via JBHIFI this year.

Usually go via the EPP route, but dont need a watch or tablet so $350 preorder bonus (galaxyai and instore credit) isnt much value for me nor is the care+.

    JBHIFI option:

$599 upfront cost if I calculated it correctly.

    $2399 for S24U 1TB (Double Storage)

-$1450 port in credit on $99 Telstra Plan
-$350 bonus trade in credit + value of trade in device
-$300 preorder bonus JBHIFI gift card at a later date

    • +1

isnt $99 too costly for a monthly plan.

      • Depends on your needs, I use a lot of mobile data for work (remote/travel) so I claim a portion as work related for my tax return.

I also prefer lower up front cost and to spread out the payments over x of time.

        YMMV.

TBH most people dont need a 2k phone in the first place 😀.

        • Yes. if you can claim it back in tax. Thats good. for me, I have a work phone. So cant.

    • wow JB plans are so expensive now. I'm still on their 60gb telstra unlimited calls plan with 5g for $25 per month.
Keep getting calls from Telstra to upgrade but hell no….. haha

  • +1

    The Good Guys offer is:

    -Double storage
-$1600 credit port in to $99 Telstra plan
    -$200 TGG gift card (S24U)

Cant see any trade in offers though.
May suit those who dont want to trade in a device.

    • Any idea on cancellation fees for the telstra plan?

      • +1

        $800

Have a discussion going on about the cancellation fee.

Seems to be $800 as per above.

      • @Mlapa
Plus you have to pay back the pro rata port in credit if you cancel earlier, telstra has changed, and it was a lot easier 2-3 years ago, not worth it if you planning to cancel earlier.

  • Just got all the way to the front of the live chat queue, then had my chat closed instantly… now back at 42nd in the queue….

    • Is the live chat via text or whatsapp?

      • I tried text chat and moved no where.. now I'm currently trying WhatsApp but not a single response yet.

        • +2

I did it via whatsapp. Took 30min ish before someone replied. You might have to wait.

          • @Kibbelhs: thanks, will keep my whatsapp window open on my Mac then.

            • @itsmehuey: Also, the person said "I see. I am able to provide you a $200 trade in discount code applicable only for the S24 ULTRA if you are planning to purchase right away with me?"

I just said I'm out atm and can't do it. Will purchase it later, and asked for code first. They gave it.

    • Had the same experience on two different occasions today. Pretty annoying as now there's 200+ in queue

  • Whats the difference between S23 and S24? I just bought S23 a few months ago

  • The original email I received says I can use the $200 voucher on a Galaxy Watch 6, but can't for the life of me get the code to work? I've even added $250 of galaxy buds stuff to my cart but still get the "please ensure blah blah…" error message.

This is on the normal Samsung site, not edu.

    • You need to add $350 worth of goods as its $150 auto discount plus $200

    • Same for me on the gov site.

    • Can't edit, I'm an idiot and didn't realise you need to buy a phone for the voucher to work lol

  • +1

If you are an existing Samsung device user, then you can get the

    -S24 Ultra 512 GB (free 1 year care+)
    -Galaxy Buds FE
    -Tab A9+ 8GB/128GB

for less than $1600. Here is how:
Add the above 3 products to your cart.
Select Trade-in and add your old phone/watch (you don't have to return it). Ensure that the trade-in value is $1 or close to it.
Look for a loyalty card in your email (I received it today) for $200.

Add the above coupon and 'GALAXYAI' codes.

The cart should be less than $1600.

(you can add other products instead of the Buds FE and Tab A9+ but I believe they provide the best deal combo)

    • +1

I was thinking of grabbing an A9+ but I can only see the S9 when checking out

  • Can anybody help with edu account? I am not eligible and don't have any friends who are studying etc please really appreciate

        • Did you order through edu store? I added the same items on the regular site and I got $1892 .

        • Damns looks like my old phone was not brought in my name haha

          Thanks anyway

    • I got mine down to $1490.

      • how?

        • Check last posts on this deal. I posted it there.

  • is anyone's unique CME code working on EPP site? or is it only working on the regular site and EDU site?

    • Worked on EDU

    • currently only works on S24 Ultra, and works on EPP Sites including EDU.

      • +1

that's so stupid that it is only working for s24 ultra at the moment, the email states for all of the models unveiled today.

        • agreed, nowhere does it say for S24 ultra only.

        • totally, the email does say this, possible coding error?

    • not working for me for S24+ either the CME they sent me

      • yeah the chat rep I'm speaking with keeps on iterating the fact it's only valid for s24 ultra, however, the email states that it's valid for the SERIES that is unveiled today.. not the FLAGSHIP MODEL only

        • show some love for the non U phones Samsung

          • @m a c9: lol chat rep refusing to budge.. keeps asking, is there any shopping or product related questions you have for me today?

            • @itsmehuey: haha i tried to report it, and they go "we passed it onto our other team… byebye" and just disconnected me

              • @lplau: yep, same here mate.. "we'll take that feedback"

      • Its in the fine print at the bottom of the email,
"Customers can also receive an additional unique voucher code valued at $200 in bonus trade-in credit that can be used towards the purchase a selected new Galaxy S24 Ultra device. All products are subject to stock availability."

haha..its always hidden in the TnCs

        • Says nothing about Ultra on my code email. This is what it says

For a limited time, eligible recipients may receive an additional unique voucher code valued at $200 in bonus trade-in credit that can be used towards the purchase of a smartphone series device unveiled at the 2024 Samsung Australia Unpacked event (18th January 5:00AM AEDT).

    • YEs it worked for me!

      • assuming for S24 ultra though :(

        • yup

  • Stupid question but how do we go about adding an iphone as a trade (since the trade up app isnt available on app store so can't generate a trade in ID) without the system thinking it is worth $330 (Iphone 11 Pro Max 64GB)? I am wanting to specify that the screen is 3rd party/broken so the trade in drops to $1.

    TIA

    • On the checkout screen you can add trade in

    • +1

once you add in the iphone as trade-in, you can click on continue. Once you finalize the cart, you will be asked questions about the trade-in during which you can specify it as broken.

      • thanks legend, only done with a samsung phone previously using the trade up app!

  • Bit confused. Why do you use live chat for? To get the trade-in voucher and loyalty voucher? What do we get via the trade-in app other than the value of the old phone?

    • +1

With the trade in: Depending on your phone trade in, you get an ADDITIONAL up to $350 off the S24 price

For example: I traded in my S21 128gb for $270 and I get an additional $350 trade in at checkout.

      • Is that just via their trade-in app?

        • +1

The trade in app is for samsung in-store use only. I got a code in the app and the website wouldn't accept the code.

Say yes to trade in > new customer > select your trade in phone. And at check out it will tell you if you got additional trade in money and you can see it off the final price.

  • Can you apply 2 of the CME discounts? I got one in email going to try sweet talk chat for another discount code.

    • pretty sure just one is accepted. Can I have the other one if you are not gonna use it? :) DMs open

  • Can I trade in my iPhone 11?

  • Waiting for Harvey norman

  • Samsung Chat:

"Welcome to Samsung. Your current wait time is 47 mins 15 secs and there are 278 customer(s) ahead of you. We will connect you shortly."

Trying to get a loyalty credit code if it stacks

    • Let us know if you get the loyalty voucher and if it stacks with trade in voucher.

      Thanks

      • +1

        Will do!

    • Hi hasher, any luck with the loyalty code and if it stacks?

      • +1

Waited over 2 hours for chat, they are automatically closing chat when you reach 1st in queue, I assume too many people want to chat and it keeps restarting to create a new chat. I tried a second time and same thing

        I gave up. Sorry :(

        • Damn I just chatted with Live chat now and got on instantly. Dude was a bro and found me a code straight away. Must have lucked out. He did say i couldnt have any accessories in cart at time of purchase tho

          • @ruddiger7: Oh so it was a trade off between accessories vs voucher?

            • @hasher22: Well the trick is to add the accessories, apply GALAXYAI to get the $350, remove the accessories and then add the loyalty code. That worked.

  • Does anyone know the eligible accessories for the double of the $100 voucher "GALAXYAI"?

"* $200 value quoted is based on a $100 eVoucher that will double in value to $200 from 18th January 5:00AM AEDT until 21st January 5:00AM AEDT 2024. From 21st January 5:01AM AEDT until 6th February 11:59PM AEDT 2024, the value of the eVoucher will revert to its original value of $100. eVoucher is redeemable on selected Galaxy tablets, watches, buds and accessories. eVouchers must be redeemed in the same transaction as the smartphone series devices unveiled at the 2024 Samsung Australia Unpacked event (18th January 5:00AM AEDT) and only on the Samsung Online Store. Any remaining portion of the eVoucher will be forfeited. Offer subject to Terms & Conditions of Sale."

I added the battery '10,000mAh Battery Pack' and charging me full price even though I am under $200

    • The voucher comes off the phone price, scroll up and you see try phone go down by 350

      • Oh great thanks!

      • Edit: I am an idiot, didn't see the warning after I applied the voucher: "The promo code GALAXYAI didn't apply. Please ensure you have a min. of $200 worth of ecosystem devices/accessories added to your cart, on top off the existing site wide ecovoucher, then try adding the promo code again. If issues persist, contact support."

        Actually the $200 didn't apply.

For example my checkout is $779 without accessories, I added $108 (case and power adapter) worth of accessories and the total came to $787 without accessories ($8 extra cause of the default $100 accessory offer)

        But when I apply GALAXYAI, the $8 doesn't go… it's still there.

        Am I using it wrong?

        • if you add the GALAXYAI code, you will need to spend a minimum of $300 on accessories for it to apply.

    • +1

u need to add 350+ if going via normal store
coz u get $150 for preordering as well

      • Thanks, prob not worth it for me. I can't be bothered reselling stuff like other people want to do. Ill stick to the default discount without the code.

        • I had the same issue before and post my comment earlier:

I found that not all accessories are entitled to have that amount. For example, if I choose some tags and chargers, system won't apply the code. However if I selected Buds2 pro with a charger and a case, it works.

          • @HappyBargainer: It's a dodgy code IMO.

Cause you need to spend $200 ONTOP of the $100 default offer.

Cause you get this error message "The promo code GALAXYAI didn't apply. Please ensure you have a min. of $200 worth of ecosystem devices/accessories added to your cart, on top off the existing site wide ecovoucher, then try adding the promo code again. If issues persist, contact support."

I tried just ordering $208 worth of accessories and it wouldn't let me but when I added $300+ it applied the discount

            • +1

@hasher22: This year's deal isn't that great as you are forced to order some unnecessary stuff then you have to find a way to sell it.

              • @HappyBargainer: Agree and I can't be bothered anymore to resell stuff, I did when I got my S21 and did the dodgy not return the trade in phone hack and didn't get charged the non-return fee and sold my S20. Ultimately getting the S21 for around $400 but I can't be fooked anymore lol

  • Is it possible to get the snapdragon variant in shops? I got my snapdragon s22 256gb from jb hifi back in the day even tho Samsung were doing exynos and snapdragon that year.

    • I spoke with a Samsung rep this morning at JB. Only the ultra has the snapdragon

      • Only looking for s24 because don't want a big ass phone. Looks like off to the grey market it is…

        • the question is…. is it worth paying a couple of hundred for snapdragon lol. Because that is likely what you'd need to do if you grey market it.

  • which accessory has best resale value? i dont want any of this shit just a cheaper price for the S24 or S24+

    • Buds or Tags probably.

      • no buds over 300. what a joke.. lol

    • Samsung products do not have good resale value because they have all these discounts and deals. Apple doesn't do these deals which is why their products have high resale value.

  • +1

What do people do with their phones that they have to upgrade every year? No trying to criticise, just genuinely puzzled.

    • +1

It's the only medium ticket piece of non-perishable asset that you use daily (like a car) that most people with average salaries can afford to upgrade with the best cost to reward ratio and that doesn't break the bank.

      • +1

Yes but what's the actual reward? What will a S24 actually do better than a S23? Graphically intensive games are the only thing I can think of, and I'm a bit stunned people seem to be paying 4 figures to play games on a tiny screen at an extra 10 frames a second.

Guess there's some new "AI" features but they're of not much interest to people I know.

        • +1

4 figures from people making 6-7 figures annually? they don't think twice, they're just finding something to throw their money at. don't question the mechanics of society, not everyone shares the same world view or finance management principles as you.

          • @plentifoo: Which is why I'm trying to understand this point of view. Your answer is that people want to find something to throw their money at. You're correct that I don't understand that.

    • I think it's more the ridiculous trade in things that Samsung does. Apple people, idk they just have 2k to blow every year lol

      • +1

I mean, if I spend say $500 to upgrade my phone yearly to the newest and the latest, and also have the option to get cases, wireless chargers, buds, etc (depending on what you pick) all included then it's a good deal for me I guess. Like sort of getting a new toy?

$500 a year is just over $40 a month, which is slightly less than $10 ($500/52 = ~ $9.7) a week to keep the one device which I do work/business/shopping/entertainment/photos on always up to date?

        I can justify that haha

Oh and the bonus Samsung care happens to be for 1 year as well. Perfect timing

      • Samsung has lots of deals and discounts. Apple has high resale value and trade-in value because they don't have significant deals or discounts.

    • I buy outright and salary sacrific new phone each year, makes it cheaper by my effective tax rate.

Keep them for two years (wife or me get the new one), and get back ~$200-300 for them rather then end up with a worthless old phone that you can't trade when it dies (looks at old phones in drawer).

Better camera, battery life, specs etc etc.

  • So non-return for Trade In means you get to keep all the bonus trade-in discounts?

    • Yeah, just have to pay $60 non return admin fee + whatever your quoted trade in value amount was.

  • Telco EPP has the S24 Ultra for $1319

  • Trying to determine the final price if I followed the post, is it? Not including trade in value
    S24: $1119.20 - $250 bonus trade-in and instant e-vouchers: $200 (code GALAXYAI) + $100 (S24/S24+) = $569.20 ?

    • My S24 256gb was $614 after I had Pixel 7 ($295 trade in value) added in the cart with all the accessories.

      • How did you get it to $614?

        I getting the S24 512gb, same price as 256gb

I am trading in my S21 for $-270 + $-350 trade in bonus and without any accessories its coming to $779

        • Sorry I'm on the education portal.

          • @m a c9: Dammit! Wish I was in the education system lol

    • Not quite, Samsung getting smarter with their deals.

GALAXYAI code only works when you added $200 or more ONTOP of the default $100 accessory offer. So you have to add $300+ worth of accessories or you will get this error:

"The promo code GALAXYAI didn't apply. Please ensure you have a min. of $200 worth of ecosystem devices/accessories added to your cart, on top off the existing site wide ecovoucher, then try adding the promo code again. If issues persist, contact support."

    • +1

Final price for the phone would be $1119.20 - $250 bonus trade in value = $869.20 cash you need to pay up front for the phone (then subtract whatever your trade in value is)

The $200 (code GALAXYAI) + $100 (S24/S24+) must be used on accessories whilst you're purchasing and doesn't reduce how much you need to pay for the phone

  • Is there any fines or penalties for not sending in phone for trade in to get the trade in discount?

    • +1

Apart from the trade in value + $60 for non return admin fee, I don't believe so

      • Thanks for letting me know!

      • So they may not charge you the trade in bonus? If so, that's excellent if you don't have a device to trade in.

        • +1

From my experience they've never charged you for the bonus amounts. Only the trade in amount + admin fee

    • +1

they already charged the amount to your account and release them when they send the got the item in with the correct condition.

  • -1

Avoid all these complications and simply get through this deal and cancel the plan:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/826857

    • +1

Doesn’t apply for the base 24, and one would argue that this is more complicated.

  • Aside from the free $150 ecosystem discount for accessories, I seem to be getting additional discount when doing this:

Add the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (if you haven't added it on the first discount)
    Add GALAXYAI
    Remove Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
    Get additional discount on total

Or am I just seeing things?

  • Anyone know if it is possible to only trade in 1 device and obtain the trade in bonuses for each device on the 24Ultra and S9FE/FE+?

    • Nvm looks like people have got it done

  • Thanks, OP; ordered one.

  • have they stopped the $350 bonus for trade-in? can't seem to show up on the pre-order cart

    • Its built-in under the total savings

      • Not for me.

        S24 Ultra 512GB.

        $2399 down to $2199 - $70 (A52s 5G) = $2129

  • -1

Epic! Paid $1479.75 total. Still a lot but hopefully not bad! My S21 Ultra is suffering a cracked back screen, blurred selfie camera due to water cleaning and a non-working automatic brightness control.

Used the Samsung Shopping app for an extra 5% discount:
adding the accessories below, adding $200 loyalty bonus GALAXYAI, adding the trade-in for Galaxy Watch 4 Classic ($70) and getting trade-in bonus, adding $200 trade-in bonus CME code (over email or over phone with Samsung):
1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra 512 GB (got the titanium blue exclusive color)
    1 X Free Samsung Care+, 1 year device program
    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector
    1 X Galaxy Buds2
1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Clear Case + 1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Silicone Case (you can get the leather case instead of 2 silicon cases)

also maybe getting this bonus after having order number and fill:
Be one of the first 500 customers to pre-order a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and correctly answer the below question to be win a Samsung Galaxy Watch6*

    • +2

Link to the Galaxy watch 6 ?

    • hi, could you please share the link to enter the draw to win the watch 6? thanks!

    • share the link for watch 6 mate!

  • Does anyone know what happens if you do a trade in with a device that then doesn't meet their criteria? E.g. I have an old galaxy watch that no longer works. If I say it works completely it is valued as $5 trade in. If I then send it to Samsung and they reject it, do I just lose the $5 or do I lose the $5 plus the $60 (or $30) fee that you get if you don't send a device at all?

And just to clarify, I keep the other trade in bonuses that are applied, right?

    • +1

I ended up going with the watch trade in. From what I can see in the T&Cs, if they decide the watch doesn't meet the condition then they reassess it and charge me the difference between the trade in and the reassessed value. So if they assess it as $0, then they should charge me $5 (with no further charge).

Might be a way for people to avoid the $60 "no send" charge.

  • +1

Here is a summary of what worked for me.

    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra 256

    1 X Free Samsung Care+, 1 year device program

    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Clear Case

1 X Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo

    1 X 45W Power Adapter Black

    2 X SmartTag2 – 4 Pack (2 x White and 2 x Black)
Planning to sell these after as i already have 4.

Will also be trading in S21 Ultra for $360.

Final price is 1235.20 After applying the eco system vouchers (200 and 100) and GALAXYAI code, plus trade in bonus of 250.

    Hope this helps someone.

    • What are ecosystem vouchers and how to get them?

      • Pre‑order a new Galaxy S24 Series device on Samsung.com and get a $200 eVoucher for selected Galaxy Tablets, Buds, Watches and accessories1 but hurry this only lasts for 72 hours. Starting on Thursday 18th January 5:00AM AEDT and ending on Sunday 21st January 5:00AM AEDT.
To get that you use the code GALAXYAI

Also My understanding is that you have to buy
$350 worth of accessories for the other $150 discount to be applied and it gets added by itself.

  • Anyone have experience with trading in a phone with a very small scratch on the screen? My phone is worth $525 trade in but only $40 trade in if i declare that it has damage.
How big does the scratch need to be, to need to declare it? It's very small and shallow.

Considering sending my phone to samsungcare to fix the screen for $45 but worried I won't get it back in time.

    • I traded in my old phone with a minor scratch near the edge. The screen was working perfectly fine. Got full value.

      • Interesting, thanks! Looking at the trade in questions, they don't actually ask about screen scratches. They ask if the screen is working, and then another question about dents or scratches on the back, but technically nothing about scratches on the screen…

  • I found out something very unique

Guys its worth trying their live chat to see if you can get a $200 trade-in voucher which stacks on top of the bonus $250 trade-in for this pre-order.
I managed to nab the following -

      • I've discovered you can switch to the Education store from within the Samsung Store app, so you can then get the 5% app discount stacked on top of the 20% educational discount (and all other promo codes).

Can anyone explain it out for a complete newbie to using all the vouchers. I have access to the education store and looking at the ultra. I'm just unsure how to acquire all the codes and the order to get the best price. Thanks.

    • +1

The steps are literally on this post. -_-

      • I have been reading them but just realised i wasn't getting the discounts because i wasn't on the final page. Have worked it out now thanks to the post below. thanks

    • +7

You have two main codes to use.

GALAXYAI - which anyone can use

A voucher from Samsung - either you're lucky enough to get it from Samsung (it's targeted) or you can chat/call Samsung and ask them for it. It starts with CME.

Download the Samsung Shop app (if it's your first time purchasing) Log in, you can access the education store from the app.

Pick the device you want, then add your trade in device. This will deduct your trade in device value + an extra $250 because you traded in.

Then you pick 1 year free Samsung care - an insurance for damages, etc.

Then you select $300 or $350 (depending on which one you buy - $300 for the S24/24+ and $350 for the Ultra) worth of accessories - cases, buds, tablets, chargers, etc and add them to cart. Then enter GALAXYAI in the promo tab. This will give you deduct $200 worth from the accessories.

Then if you buy an S24U you enter the CME code and it will further discount it by $200. So far it seems it doesn't work with the S24 or the plus models.

Check your updated total price and see if you've saved like what the other guys posting here have saved.

      That's pretty much it.

      • +1

Thanks so much for your help. appreciate it.

      • Can you access the epp store from the app?

        • only the education store from what I can see on the app.

        • You can switch between store experiences in the Shop app
Menu > scroll down > click Samsung Education store
          or
Menu > scroll down > click Samsung Online store

then you are switched to the other store

      • Voucher from Samsung, is that the Ultra models CME code or something else?

        • +1

That's the code that starts with CME which works only for the Ultras (so far)

        • +1

A voucher from Samsung - either you're lucky enough to get it from Samsung (it's targeted) or you can chat/call Samsung and ask them for it. It starts with CME.

they literally have CME in their description of the voucher lol

  • It’s cool to see the colourful phones from ss.

    • Now imagine we got these colors 😭

    • The question comes down to…. would anybody notice the difference between snapdragon and exynos. Most people wouldn't…. as both doesn't lag unless you do something that is resource intensive e.g. play games.

Snapdragon won't make your cat videos run any faster. haha Battery life wise, the last Exynos was pretty good, I was getting over 24hrs from it.

If you play your game smart…. you could get a S21+ for almost $890 after offloading the right accessories on Facebook Marketplace….

      • Yeah i think i worked it out. Through my EPP got the Galaxy S24, a 4 pack of SmartTag2, and a Galaxy Watch6 for $787 with the trade-in of my S21. Im happy with that. Thanks.

  • +1

Has anyone had success with arguing with spport to have the $200 voucher to be applied to the s24+ ?

Im not really in the market for an ultra.

    • The code is only for the Ultra from what I was told in live chat

    • Just get the ultra. Its well worth it for the Snapdragon.

    • in the past they have had some issues with some of the coupon codes. Which usually gets fixed within 24hrs…… which is why i will wait alittle and then order. Hoping they will fix it.

    • Hopefully if enough people bug them about this, they'll change the code so it works for the S24+.

I'm done with the Ultra line after having the S23U for a year. Great performance but too heavy and bulky.

  • Has anyone ordered S24 512gb and GalaxyWatch 6 BT 43mm together?

Best price I am getting is $828.40 (after $460 trade-ins).

I'm not sure my vouchers are applying correctly.

  • Does anyone have a $200 evoucher they are not using? I was overseas and just missed out the time to redeem =/

  • Can someone please help an old fella out. My brain gets so confused as I read over the deals. This one, Good Guys, Officeworks, etc.

Generally my wife and I update our phones every 2 years. We have S22 Ultras 512GB but generally we don't trade as we know we could probably do better selling privately (but in reality we generally give the old phones away to family overseas).

Wanted to update this time to S24 Ultra 512GB. I don't think a plan works well for us (we probably have something like 9 months of Boost Mobile access left on both phones). My wife does have educational discount. Can someone give us some quick guidance on where we should turn? Follow the steps originally posted by OP? Any other tips to get the best deal? Thanks in advance.

    • +1

It really depends on how much you are willing to spend. The Samsung EPP store has trade in discount ($250) & loyalty discount ($200 if you have code which starts with CME), plus additional $150 ecosystem voucher and $200 with GALAXYAI code (which isn’t working for everyone), that brings total discount to $800. The trade in value of your current phone ($555 if your phone is in a good condition as per Samsung) will be applied as well. With all this, you will still be spending close to $1000 for S24 Ultra 512GB variant.
The Good Guys plan sounds riskier but people are claiming they get away with new phone for $800.
I think with Officeworks deal you end up spending more upfront because Gift cards are issued later & can’t be used for payment towards the phone.

      • +1

Thank you very much. I appreciate it, that's the best summary of the current situation I've seen all day.

  • Galaxy S24 Ultra 512gb
    Galaxy Watch 6 44mm

    Total - $2338.5 - $795 (S23 Ultra 512gb trade in) - $250 (trade in bonus) - $350 (GALAXYAI Code)
    = $943.5

I'll sell the galaxy watch netting me around $250 looking at sold listings on ebay and taking into accoung fees and postage which would bring the total down to $693.50

More excited about a flat screen than anything else haha

A phone that should worth $1,100-$1,200…..priced at over $2,000 and people getting it in around $1,400 feel like they have got a good deal. Great business model and marketing by Samsung.

    • -1

Yeah it feels bad upgrading my phone for free each year. Samsung really got us.

      • Its definitely not for free.

        • Very easy to sell previous gen + the extras for more than the cost of these. I've upgraded each year since S21U without paying anything extra.

  • 40% off available for Telco EPP if you complete the "Introducing the Galaxy s24 series" module on Samsung Plus. Module seems to simply be a pdf that you have to close once opened (no quiz this time).

No code has been sent to me yet, I only know this because I received the email. Can also stack with a $100 trade in offer, was mentioned in the same email.

    • What is it an how to access it?

      • +1

have a telco email address haha….. e.g. telstra, optus, vodaphone etc.

    • Can you use all above vouchers on Telco EPP?

      • I'll let you know when I receive my 40% off code

      • Just found out today, no you cannot.

I had to refuse to use the $100 eVoucher to ensure the 40% can be applied and had to refuse the $350 trade in offer.

After that, I added a trade in which only gave me $100 off the S24 series.

Free Samsung Care for 1 year and the free 512GB upgrade for base model S24 still worked with 40% off voucher.

        • Did the code work on general store or Telco EPP store? Other EPP stores don't have the free memory upgrade.

          • @ozzbargainer: Telco EPP store and it can't be used in conjunction with the "5% off first time app purchase" offer either, do if you still have the 5% off offer on the app, use your web browser instead.

The memory upgrade should be everywhere as even on the normal store it's saying the 256GB S24 base model is not available yet, so they're providing 512GB

        • I tried with the code but the best I could get it down to for Ultra was ~ $1127 for 256 and $1248 for 512. Is there any better option?

  • -2

can i ask how do i get the EPP or edu program if i dont have a .edu.au email? i tried sighing up on samsung and it requires a edu.au email? thank you all :)

How are you trading in 2 devices? It doesnt seem worth it because you only get bonus for 1 trade in

      • You can trade in up to two devices using their program. I bought the Fold3 at launch (nearly 2.5 years ago so written off in my books, battery life is crap) and I jumped on the free Pixel 8 Pro deal because I was paying $69 a month for my phone plan anyway with the explicit intention of trading it in when the S24 came out. Yes it's worth 50% of what a new one is going for but I couldn't be bothered selling it myself and felt $300 to upgrade to a phone I really wanted after spending nothing on new phones since 2021 was well worth it.

    • You can get $900 for the Pixel 8 Pro (128GB) from Mobile Monster.

    • Surely you can sell the Z Fold3 for more than $485 on marketplace. CEX are offering $485 which makes this thing the market value is more….

      • +2

I sure could. Two kids under 2 and a full on job doesn't leave me with a lot of time or the ability to put in that kind of effort. Ultimately, Asurion need to make money as well. And I'm happy to forego ~$150 per phone (based on a cursory glance on marketplace) for the convenience of just posting the phone back to a company without having to deal with a bunch of tirekickers trying to negotiate over a few dollars.

  • I'd like to get the S24 Ultra, and i'd like to trade in my Watch4 LTE to get the trade-in bonus.
Does anyone know if this will work?
In the trade-in faq it says that you can only trade in devices in the same category as you're buying.

I'd also like to add the Watch6 LTE to my cart. Would this satisfy the trade-in requirement?

There's also meant to be a $200 pre-order bonus for accessories (such as watches) for the 3-day pre-order period that samsung were emailing out a while back. Would this work on the EDU store, or no? And stack with the other discounts?

  • If we dont send in our trade in device? Do we loose the trade in value or also the $350 trade in discount?

    • They have put a hold off $145 on my card which is trade in value assessed for my phone

      • They refund it once you send them the phone within 21 days of getting the new one. If you don't you lose your $145 plus the admin fee $60

        • Are you sure about that? My device (s23ultra 512mb) gives a 795 discount, so it'd definitely be better to pay the 145 plus admin fee and sell the phone rather than return it!

I'm asking as when I recently got a replacement device via Samsung Care I had to pay the exchange fee of $229. After the device was delivered I had 14 days to return the device and when I didn't, I was charged the full price of the phone ($1920). Once I returned the device, that amount was reversed

          • @melamine: Your card will be billed for the trade-in value once you confirm the trade-in process. For instance, if you're trading in the S23 Ultra and approve the transaction, they will deduct the amount from your card. You'll receive the corresponding discount and bonus on your order. However, if you fail to send in the phone, the $795 won't be reversed, and an additional $60 administrative fee will be charged.

If your trade-in was valued at $145 you won't get $795 discount only $145

          • @melamine: You get charged an admin fee

    - $765 - Galaxy S23 Ultra 256GB Trade In
    - $200 CME Code

    Total: $627

Will make some $$ back from the Tags and Tablet so the final price will much cheaper than $627

  • After placing the order, can we cancel the accessories we have added?

  • I'm thinking about doing this but my S20 Ultra ($200 cash back) has a crack in the back bottom right corner, does that make it ineligible?

Should I just use an old iphone7 plus or will it be all good?

    • It won't be ineligible, but once you complete details for the trade-in, the device value will drop to $1.

  • Data Point

    S24 Ultra 512gb
    Anti Reflecting Screen Protector
    Silicone Case
    Clear Case
    Galaxy Buds2 Pro
    Samsung Care

Offers Used: 5% off from app, GALAXYAI, CME code from email + instant $150 store value. And traded in a S22 Ultra 256 for $525.

I added the phone, and then accessories, and then finally the GALAXYAI + CME code.

    Out of pocket: $885

Whereas my friend just signed up to a $140pm 2 year plan to get this exact phone, as always, god bless ozbargain 🫡

  • So we have to send back trade in device to keep the bonus discount?

  • couple of questions to the wise ozbargainers

How does one get the GALAXYAI code to go to $350? In the offer email it says $200?
How does one get the CME $200 code?

    • +1

It's for purchase of $350 of accessories for the s24 Ultra. CME code can be obtained by contacting Samsung chat, although an earlier comment says they're closing down chats (unsure)?

      • What is CME stands for?

        • +2

Nothing, the voucher code starts with CME… so people call it that.

  • So this is what I managed using EDU portal:

    S24Ultra 512GB: $1188
    Clear Case: $25.33
    Screen Protector: $25.33
    Galaxy Buds2 Pro: $226.69
    Smart View Wallet Case: $44.83

Paid $1511 instead of $2895 - not too bad I think!

Traded in a Galaxy S6 32GB ($5), used the other codes as well.

  • I got the cme code from customer rep but they said it cant be used for education store?

    • Use it. No dramas.
      Works

  • Say we trade in a s10 5g with $140 trade in value and a s23 plus with $645 trade in do we need to pay a $60 fee for each device ? Or in total

    • Each they are regarded as a separate trade-ins

      • So theres really no point using the s10 to trade in

        • Trade in the S10, sell the S23+ on Marketplace.

          • @Kritik: What if my mum had a iphone 15 pro can i get the trade in ampunt for that at 1100? And still pay a $60 fee it seems to good to be true doing that

            • @leasky: No Mate,

They will charge you $1100+$60 for not returning it. Not just $60.

              • @Kritik: Last year i was only charged $40 for a non return fee though has it changed

                • @leasky: What was the value of the product you were trading in?

                • @leasky: @leasky
Yes it has changed, at the tradin step they will ask you for a cc and they will charge the amount upfront as a security deposit, once you return the phone and it is in the order you describe, they will reverse the charge.

                  • @Yoo05: Ah thank you for the clear up! I guess to many of us abused it last year haha

  • Can EPP and app (5%?) work together or no?

    • Yes

      • How did you get this to work? Unable to login on the app with anything thats not my personal (Not EPP) samsung account

        • oh I got confused with the Edu store. App works with Edu.

  • My take:

    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra (256GB) $947.01
1 X Free Samsung Care+, 1 year device program Free
1 X Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo $64.29
    1 X Galaxy S24 Ultra Silicone Case $28.90
    1 X SmartTag2 – 4 Pack (2 x White and 2 x Black) $99.67
    1 X Galaxy Buds FE $72.99
    Sub-total $1,212.86

    $1 trade-in $1
    $60 admin fee $60
    TOTAL $1,273.86

    $250 trade-in bonus
$200 bonus voucher for trade-in (targeted)
    $150 eco voucher
    $200 GALAXYAI
    5% Shop App discount

    NOTE
    1) I made some mistake and needed to cancel the original order
    2) I was able to get another $200 CME code over the phone
    3) This time I created a new Samsung account so I can get the 5% first-time Shop App discount as well.
    4) The SN for my trade-in device is still locked by Samsung/Asurion, so I used another SN but made the trade-in $1. I will likely pay $60 plus a $1 device credit.
    5) Eco vouchers are not very good value given I don't really need any of the accessories. I will try to sell them and make the final price for the phone a bit cheaper.
    6) It's especially annoying that they don't have black for all cases, but rather have dark violet colour which I don't like.

    • how can you make the trade in to $1? Thanks

  • I try s24u 512GB + watch6 classic 47 4g
    Total $1663.73.
    Is it good?

    • Yeh decent.

      • Thanks
        I changed 512GB to 1TB
        Total $1967.73 ($1419.93+$555.54)

  • Anyone else stuck with trying to use trade in code and it says "You cannot proceed with Trade-in as the Trade-ID is invalid."

Also what do you ask to get the CME code?

    • Make sure to trade in using the website or shop app during the checkout. The old trade-in app does not work with online orders.

  • Tradeup app keep getting "Sorry, we are having a problem executing your request. Please try again". Anyone knows to get around it?

  • Anyone having trouble logging in edu email in the shop app?

      S23+ Ultra lolwut

      • typo, just a S23 Ultra. Please forgive

      • relaaaax warrior its clearly a typo

      • +1

Corrected as I had some errors in my calcs

Just upgraded my S23 Ultra to S24 Ultra, here is my breakdown:

        Purchased from education store:

        Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB Titanium Blue - $1759.2
        Galaxy Tab A9+ 128GB - $373.62
        Cop the non-trade in fee - $30

        Total = $2162.82

        Minus:
        - 5% app purchase bonus - around - $136 (i dont for the the lift of me how they worked it out)
        - trade in of cracked iPhone 8 - $1
        - trade in bonus of $250
        - extra Samsung trade in credit - $200
        - Samsung bonus for accessories - $350
        - Trade in my Samsung S23 Ultra to Mobile Monster - $850

        Total = $375.33

        Other potential discounts:

        • Try and sell the Galaxy Tab A9+ for $300 myself
        • GST tax refund if going overseas for the Phone itself = $949.16/11 = $86.287 ($949.16 is what my recepit says the phone cost)

Final Final Price would be I make a profit of $11.16 upgrading my S23 Ultra

  • Something is up with ordering more than one phone. Got an ultra 256gb, a plus 256gb and a 44mm watch6 for around $2k before trade-in value (one device for each phone purchased)

Using a CME code from chat and GALAXYAI.

      • +2

        It's not 25%. It's 20% then another 5%.

  • +1

    This is my summary:

    1x S24 Ultra 512GB Titanium Blue
    1 x Samsung Care
    1 x Galaxy Tab A9+

    The discounts:
    - 20% Automatically from Education store
    - $350 GALAXYAI
    - $250 Bonus Trade-In
    - $70 - Samsung A52s Trade In
    - $200 Live chat Code
    - 5% Samsung App

    Total: $1031 + $280 = $1311

    • Galaxy Tab A9+ is a good callout. Its not shown for me in the suggested accessories, but can add anyway from the store. Takes it just over the 200+150 threshold

  • Got a reasonably new s23 ultra. Anyone have strong feelings about of its worth the effort of upgrading? Im not as deep into tech specs these days.

    • Are you really going from Fold 5 to S24 Ultra? I have been using Fold 5 since upgraded from S23 Ultra, the big screen is enjoyable to use although the camera is definitely worse than S23 Ultra. But it's hard to leave from Fold 5 to S24 which has a smaller screen.

      • Yes, Ive found myself using the front screen 90% of the time.
I would not be able to stomach the ~ $900 screen replacement cost. Had it replaced under Care + for $99 already.
From above - screen not hardy for my uses.
        Miss the S pen funcrionality.
        Miss the better cameras.

  • This is my summary:

    1x S24 Ultra 512GB Titanium Grey
    1 x Samsung Care

    - $250 Bonus Trade-In
    - $370 - Samsung S22 Trade In
    - $200 Live chat Code

    Total: $1328

    After cashback ~$1274

  • Interested in s24. Does it have Snapdragon or home brand processor?

    • S24 , S24+ has exynos. Only Ultra has snapdragon.

      • Damn, hope they don't compromise on battery. Else will stick with my S23

        • Well the Exynos isn't in the S24U, implying it is inferior to Snapdragon

  • Ive used the samsung shop app, and then used my education email to go to the education store section but no mobiles are coming up, only tv accessories monitors etc, is there something im missing?

    • I have the same issue!!! What the heck going on. It's fine via website, but I want the 5%

      • yeh its just buds and and accessories under mobile, i was using the app on an iphone because my samsung phone kept signing me into my default samsung account that doesnt have education access

        • lol, I did the same, grabbed an iPhone. Tried an iPad also. Something buggy in my Edu login?!

          • @Chapp0: so i signed out on my s23 plus and used the edu login and it showed the mobile stuff.. if that helps and was able to add it all, i got the ultra 24 256gb, at 397, and added the other stuff to come to 658

    • Just called and got the link sent to me as well. Have put a claim in.

The T&C's do specifically exclude the edu store though.

      • I got my Fold5 through the edu store and still got a free watch, much later though.

        • Did you get any sort of confirmation email that your claim was accepted, if so how long after you claimed did you receive it? Or did the watch just turn up at your door step one day?

          • @Rad19874812: I ordered from edu last year, and didn't get it as expected. No harm to enter the claim but don't hold too much expectation.

    • I think the answer is "True" to The newest feature introduced to the S24 Series is AI. Its a dumb question - but looking for confirmation that's what others put!

Also, can you please provide me where I can locate contact details? is this through live chat via Sales -> Orders -> Start Live chat?

    • Just wanted to say a big thank you. I completely forgot that I had applied for this, didn't really even think that I'd get a watch due to me not having received any email and purchasing through the govt store. But today, what a lovely surprise to get the watch + a spare band delivered unexpectedly! :) Thank you for sharing this with the community.

      • its not a spare band i noticed. Thats why they deliberately left the watch box open, since i think when they retail sell these, they leave it open so you can "choose a band" then the "shop" would complete the "seal".

They do include the "seal" inside the box though.

  • +1

I tried to argue the point with the CMU voucher originally saying it applied to any S24 series phone, but only working with the Ultra.

    They didn't budge.

  • Why dont you post that link here?

  • I have tried 3 different devices but everytime its generating a TradeID which can only be used in store.

Can someone shed some light here?

    • You have to proveed through the ordering steps and at some point it will allow you to generate an online code.

    • you are not supposed to use the seperate app, samsung chat even said they dont use it anymore everything is through the samsung shop app

  • What happen if you don't send in your trade in item worth $5?

    • You can't really dodge trade in now, cause they require you to now pay the trade in value as a security deposit. Then you send back the item and the deposit is refunded back to you.

But since its only $5, you will only be charged $5 from your card.

      • Don't they charge the non send back fees?

        • Oh forgot about that, most likely will as Samsung pretty harsh last few years people not sending things back.

Play it safe and just send it back.

        • +1

          Yes. $60 device non-return fee

Got the S24 512GB Ultra for $1,373.50 including a Watch6 44mm, used $200 trade in coupon after requesting on livechat, traded in my crappy series 7 apple watch.
    Finally moving away from iPhones!

      You’ll be back 😝

    • traded in my crappy series 7 apple watch

I always felt the other way around. If only we could combine the best of both worlds.

      Apple Watch: 🎉💯
      Galaxy Watch: 🤷‍♂️

      iPhone: 🤷‍♂️
      Galaxy S series: 🎉💯

  • Anybody who is doing a trade in: after doing all of the above, message samsung and ask for a 200 dollar trade in code. I got the S24 ultra 256/Galaxy tablet A9+ 64GB/battery pack/case/Samsung Care+ for $950 trading in my S21 Ultra. Pretty damn good.

    • is this a different code to the 2 day 200 dollar code i signed up for a few weeks back?

      • I would say same one, but i just never got mine. I just messaged Samsung and said i was considering buying an S24 Ultra but wanted a code. They replied and said if you are trading in we can give you $200.

  • Will the exynos devices also get Galaxy AI?

    • yes

  • Does anyone know for certain what happens if you don't send in your device for trade-in? Are you going to be charged back the trade-in bonus? I got the $350 + $200 trade-in bonus and my device is worth $750 (S23 Ultra 256GB). Last time when I pulled this stunt for the S23 Ultra, I was only charged a penalty fee of around $100 but this time it seems different…
The trade-in value of the device is already taken off my payment account and I would get it back once send in. Last time this wasn't the case, I paid more upfront and would be paid out my trade-in value once the device was sent in.
When checking the official Samsung Trade-Up website it states in the FAQ that you are charged the full retail price if you change your minde and decide not to send in your trade-in device.
Would hate to pay an additional $550 on top of the already paid $750. FB marketplace sale wouldn't make sense anymore and it would be better to actually trade it in.
    Thanks

    • +2

Not sure what you're talking about, it's always been the same. They deduct trade in value and put a hold on that amount on your card until you send your phone in. If you don't send it they take the trade in value and charge a non-return fee. It's all pretty clear in their T&Cs.

      • Thanks mate. That wasn't like this for me last time. Guess I'll risk it then. Cheers.

  • Chat is refusing to give trade in $200 code starting with CME to me.

What are the magic keywords I have to say to them?

    • Try ring them. I got one over the phone.

      • Chat is stating there is no CME code for S24, only for the S24 Ultra

        • Let me know if you get a cme code I'm only interested in the S24 not the ultra

          • @solidussnake: I got a CME code but not for the normal S24. I tried twice with two reps, and nothing for S24. guess its a ultra thing.

People in these forums are posting their CME code worked and they all purchased ultra.

    *** UPDATE SAMSUNG WATCH 6 ***

    Hi all,

I couldn't update my above post regarding the free Samsung Watch 6. You will need you purchase order number to fill out the form.

Link is not personalised, 1st 500 apparently get the prize :)

    Link here - https://samsung.jotform.com/240148282381858

I was very surprised how helpful the Samsung retention team was, credit to them. But honestly, even if I don't get the watch, still happy with the deals and coupons on this deal!

    • Purchases from the education store are excluded according to the Ts and Cs.

      • is it better to use normal site instead of edu and get the watch

        • +1

If the watch is guaranteed, yes! But since it's not, probably the extra discount is better

          • @jamestownfx: I took the risk…. but it seems I am bad at math. Is there anything that suggests it is a raffle as opposed to first 500? My adrenaline kicked in and I lost all rational thought.

            • @OZcheepsk8: It's strange because it has a live count showing redemptions still possible, but the sum of redemptions possible is more than 500 so who knows?

I ordered with the EDU store and tried a redemption on a watch so we'll see!

              • @jamestownfx: fingers crossed for the both of us. Suspect it may be first 500 for each model. But I seriously can't understand why the cheapest models are the most sought after…

                • @OZcheepsk8: maybe the starting number was lower for the cheaper models, hard to know how many were actually selected

                  • @jamestownfx: if anyone here gets some sort of confirmation for the watch, can they please advise? if it purely is raffle based, I might have some luck undertaken a last minute cancellation and going through government portal instead.

                    Thank you.

                    • @OZcheepsk8: Very unlikely that I'm one of the first 500 but submitted a claim anyway. Interestingly if you hit refresh on the form the numbers available shows possible starting number before updating.

                      https://ibb.co/8rqjCHf

                      • @Rad19874812: As per my rough calculations the total redemptions is still under 500 atm.

                        • @dinhhuynh: I'm just speculating though. The numbers could purely just reflect overall inventory and the decrease in numbers are from ppl purchasing using their preorder credits as ooppose to redemptions.

    • Thank you

    • Do they send any email confirmation?

    • I purchased through the online website as opposed to the EPP website solely for the watch. I hope this really is the first 500 and not some sort of raffle. Would love the 47mm LTE Watch 6 Classic. Why is everyone going for the cheaper variants?

      • Me too, I selected the last watch as it was the most expensive. Let's see if it comes.

        • best of luck to us both

    • I just started chat to ask about this promotion and was given the following link:

Eligible customers who register their details via https://samsung.jotform.com/231997947008874 , are one of the first five hundred (500) customers to pre-order a Galaxy S24 Ultra from the Samsung Online Store during 12:00pm AEST 18th January, 2024 – 11:59pm AEST 15th February, 2024, and correctly answer the question in the form could receive Galaxy Watch6.

It is a different link from your post and it said 500 winners have been reached. Very inconsistent from Samsung.

      • I think this link may be shown if you try to submit the claim now. I calculated using the previous link 504 have been claimed so they must've just created a new link to display the "Sorry" page

        • It still lets you submit and gives you a "thanks for submitting" page if you do.

          • @JR63: Is that from submitting right now? Interesting. I suspect this link is what chat support gives because they know the promo already has 500 claimed. Has anyone managed to see if the new link ever showed a form to fill in?

  • How are people getting edu emails (not legimately). Don't know anyone in school

Would signing up to a free tafe course work? Anyone tried this? If so how long until you get an email address?

    • +2

      Alumni uni emails

      • Wow, had no idea alumni would work thanks! I remember trying it for something else and it didn't so I assumed it wouldn't work here

  • Which color is everyone going for?? I'm still confused in that

  • Just pre ordered S24 ultra 1TB from Australian Government Portal Including lots of free Accessories for $1228 after trade in.

Government Portal will give flat 20 % off the RRP.
Then combined with $575 trade in value for S22 Ultra 1TB, plus $250 bonus trade in discount from Samsung.

    Further stacked up with code
    CME-914P-TR7K-R14N
for free Galaxy Ear Buds 2

    Further Stacked up with code
    GALAXYAI

Further Stacked up with $150 worth of free Accessories like cases, Power bank etc from Samsung.

I believe this is a very good deal for someone who wants to trade in their old devices. I believe one of the voucher is only valid for first 72 hrs, sorry not sure which one.

    • That CME code is yours and probably no longer valid for others FYI

  • +11

For those struggling to get the S24U $200 code, I think it can be generated via the Samsung Members app if you click the S24U banner.

    • Sorry how do you generate this code? I am having problems getting to anyone on chat. Got kicked out twice when it came to me for no reason. Is this happening to anyone else?

      • Scroll down to benefits in Samsung member then click on the S24 Ultra banner.

        • Thanks I will go try. Someone below said it does not work with edu website? Did it work for you?

          • @JL1: Hey, I just generated and applied it to my cart in the edu store. Works! Down to $615 lol

            • @dws: What's the trade-in value in that discount?

          • @JL1: Has to be for s24u

    • +1

Great find. Just generated one. Thanks

      • How pls? Is it on edu site or normal site?

        • Samsung members app

    • This is a great find, definitely needs to be added into the main post!

  • GALAXYAI code is now not letting you add more than 200$ items…

    • Cannot add anything expensive like a tablet?

      • Yes

        • Is that a new restriction? That's crap, I was thinking a phone plus a tablet.

          • +2

            @JL1: Still working for me

            • @jamestownfx: Thanks for letting me know! Now just need to find a way to even get into chat, kicked out a few times already.

  • I'm kinda surprised at how many people are trading in their s23's for this.

The AI features are coming to the s23 too apparently (which is the main selling point from last year IMO)

    https://www.engadget.com/samsungs-new-galaxy-ai-features-are…

    • Only some of the AI features will go to previous models since they don't have the AI processing chip that the S24 does.

      • +1

GPU's are heavily under utilised in phones, they are definitely be capable of doing it even without dedicated AI processing (GPU's did all of the AI processing before dedicated AI chips were a thing, and still do to a large extent).

Albeit less efficient of course, so will have to see how much of it they are willing to port over.

Not to mention how some of the AI features are probably done on google's server (like the pixel)

    • You can upgrade for basically free if you sell the S23U and bonus accessories on marketplace

    • +1

I want to buy an S23 after the S24 Exynos announcement

    • +1

Ive hated curved screens since my first curved display on the Galaxy S6 edge and have avoided them all since till the S23 Ultra which was much less curved than previous years so hell yes ill upgrade to finally get that beautiful flat display.

  • +1

Hoping I did it right lmao

    • S24 Ultra 512GB titanium blue
    • Galaxy Buds 2 Pro black
    • Super fast wireless charger duo
    • 1YR care program (is this free exchange for damaged phones or is there still a charge…?)

Total: $1120.60 (EPP store); discounts used:

    • $350 GALAXYAI discount
    • $250 bonus trade in discount
    • $200 CME code trade in discount
    • $365 Samsung S21 Ultra trade in

Also put a response in for a watch but who knows

    • Are you sure that this isn't for the 256GB version? I compiled the same cart, same trade-in and same discounts (inc. CME code), and I couldn't get anywhere near this. Came to $1,160.60 for the 256GB version.

      • Employee partner store?

        • Oh, I used the Education store. The discounts must be larger at the Employee Partner Store.

  • Paid 699 for my s21 ULTRA 3 years ago to the day almost. What do we think of this ever getting down to those regions in the next few months?

  • when i try to order 2 phones the 2nd phone says "You have already added Samsung Care+ to your order. You can only add one device per order" anyone done a split order yet?

    • Have to do them separately. I just asked the chat agent at the time for a second code.

  • +1

The online chat is bugged, watied 3 times, everytime when it reach 1 customer ahead of you and it become converstaion ended :(

    • +1

Go to generate the code in Samsung Member app.

      • Can you please elaborate abit more ? I looked around on the shop app but cant find it

        • +2

Members app, not shop app. Click on the S24 banner on the main screen

          • @wombat81: Thanks, but some how it doesn't work with EDU website :(

Edit, got it , trick is to use the CME before galaxy

            • @taofufa: Sorry what do you mean use the CME before galaxy? As in the order of the codes?

              • +1

@JL1: that's right, I addted the AI code before CME and its showing error , but when I added CME before it works

    • Same, damn annoying

  • Wish I had an EDU email address.

The best I can get via government portal is

    Free Samsung Care
    Total cost $1158.40

    512GB Galaxy S24 Orange
    Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Graphite
    $290 trade value for my 256GB S21
    Free Samsung Care
    Total cost $918.40

    • +2

@Moostyle The edu and government portals give the same discount of 20%. In order to make use of the GALAXYAI code (which gives you $200 value), you need to pick OVER $300 worth of accessories. Given the Buds2 Pro are $279 (on edu and gov), you need to pick something else worth $21 or more to make use of the extra $200.

Otherwise right now, you're only making use of a $100 voucher for the Buds2Pro, meaning you're actually paying $179 for it.

By my calcs, if you add a standing grip case (worth $63), you'll end up dropping your 512GB S24 phone cost down to $781.60, and it'll come with a case + the buds pro.

      • Ah awesome. Thanks for that.

  • I just visited a JB store to check, and 100% confirmed Exynos 2400 in the 24+

    • +1

      Ultra is Snapdragon gen 3??

  • I tried multiple time but the traid in id is invalid. Just check the train in app and its said head to instore for trade up. And it did not asked for credit card details too. Is the anyaway to get traid in ID that can be used in online store?? Or am I doing sth wrong? Can anyone guide me

    • Try adding the phone and select you don't have a Trade ID to start everything on Samsung.com rather than the app

      • Thank you for the reply. If i do in the edu website, the 5% app discount will be missed and every time I generate the Traid up ID in the app, it says

When you're ready to trade-in, head into store
with your Trade ID shown above. They will help
you finish the trade-in process and take your
        device.
If you'd like to add another device to your trade-
in value you can select trade-in another device
        below.
We've sent you an email with your Trade ID in
        case you lose it.
This Trade ID can only be used in store
        Find a store

So, I suppose it cannot be used in online store.
Is there anyway I can create Trade in ID that can be used in online store?

        • You can create the Trade ID in the Shop app, just don't do it on Trade-up app

          • @moneytomyway: Thank you for the reply. It was not letting me do the trade in in the samsung app. Finally, all sorted on desktop browser in samsjng education portal, obtained the trade in code , left the cart open and purchased from samsung app.

  • anyone know why galaxyai is invalid via app ?

edit - for those who were stuck like me, needs to be in caps, wait 30 secs for it to see if code is valid, then press apply (wait another 30 secs - laggy af), and it will finally apply the code

  • +14

Warning. In the members app, you can generate a $200 voucher if you dont already have one. Just click the benefits tab and then the S24 Ultra photo banner.

    • whoa where have you been this whole time

@Elquines add to the OP so that people don't have to siege the loyalty team for one.. I already ordered mine earlier today, and makes me kinda wonder if this one stacks with the one I got in the email.. shrug

      • Updated. Thanks for the details ^^

    • Where were you this morning? 😭

  • About selecting "accessories" over $200. What accessories you are selecting that can exceed $200? I find it hard as I only have a Samsung phone.

    • Buds2Pro

    • You can add items outside the list as well. Some work.

  • Am I also correct, I need to select accessories first before purchasing the phone?

    • -1

no, follow instructions in the OP

add the phone to cart first (don't add trade in at this stage)

then next screen will be to add accessories - add at least $350 worth

then in cart apply GALAXYAI to deduct $350 from the cost of accessories plus phone

then add trade in and whatever bonus trade in vouchers or other shenanigans you have obtained

      • my only option I have is to select the phone + storage, then "pre-order now". If I selected "pre-order now", it forced me to respond to phone trade-in <Yes/No> which I skipped originally.

        • I worked it out. All good. Thank you.

Whats the best price others have got for S24 Ultra 512GB?

The best i can get with all discounts is $1253 so wondering there is any better combination available

    • Is that without a trade in?

    • I got s24 ultra 512gb + 2 x anti reflecting screen, 1 x super fast wireless charger, 1 x galaxy buds 2, 1 x 10,000 mah battery pack + 1 x ultra clear case for $1187.40.
I did this by using the EPP store, the code listed on this deal, trade in + bonus for the s21+ and then applying the CMH code from the members app. Hope this helps.

      • What is the price of Ultra 512 itself in the final order?

Don't consider any other accessories or products

        • $906.89

  • When submiting the jota form it shows how many watches are left for each model.

    • but it doesnt make sense because theres only 500 on offer….

think its more just stock levels than actual amount left of the free deal

    • Yea when I first saw that it didn't make sense as the total amounts was clearly over 500.

I think maybe it is total stock for each model and the 1st 500 get their selection.

      • lets pray we all get one. Surprised there was so many left 16 hours in…. what I can't make sense of is why the most expensive is the most abundant…

        • I'm pretty sure that link is a fake copy (possible data mining?) This appears to be the real link

          https://samsung.jotform.com/231997947008874

          • +1

@galileo99: I think both links are real. I got the other link directly from chat support. This must be a new link that just shows that 500 have been claimed. Anyone tried the other and successfully submitted?

            • @jumanji13: Nobody is receiving confirmation emails so it's almost certainly fake or a dodgy Samsung stunt at best.

              • +1

@galileo99: I have messaged the email stated in the T&C for confirmation. Will update if they reply

              • @galileo99: you could be right. Form has gone missing.

Just got the S24 Ultra 256GB for $464.07.

Purchased through the Samsung Shop app with the education portal - I don't even think I have an education email haha. I traded in my S23 Ultra - wasn't planning on upgrading so soon but too good not to.

Accessories received were the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Wireless Charger Duo.

    Codes below may be wrong:
    $200 ecosystem - GALAXYAI
    $150 ecosystem - auto applied
    $250 bonus trade-in - auto applied
$200 bonus trade-in - CME code from Samsung
    $795 trade in discount (S23 Ultra 512GB)
    20% education discount
    5% Samsung shop discount
    = $464.07

    Thanks all!

    • How did you get access to thr education portal without verifying unidays/.edu email?. Asking for a friend

      • Couldn't tell you to be honest - sorry.
I tried logging on using a friend's .edu email on the Samsung website this morning and I think they verified the address, so it was potentially linked through that. When I selected education store on the app it automatically transferred

    • -3

THis price logic is wrong, you cannot get it for that price.

      • +1

My order is confirmed for that price, not sure what else to say

      • +1

Mine was on the same basis .. you're incorrect .. trading S23 Ultra 512Gb

  • How can I change the login details on my S22U for the Shop App? It seems the Shop App automatically logs into my profile (non Edu) even when I log out to try log back in. I want to use my Edu email/profile. Thanks!

    • Was going to ask this exact question! Its crazy annoying auto login

    • I have the same problem!! Tried a different device and when logged into Edu email, Mobile is not an option to purchase?!

    • +2

Go to phone settings and log out of Samsung account. Clear app cache and it'll ask you to login

    • +1

You can use Secure Folder (Search in app menu) and install the Samsung Shop app there. It will ask you for login information as its essentially another instance of the app.

I did that before to compare pricing between standard and edu stores.

      • Thanks, I ended up going with this option and it worked.

    S24 Ultra 256GB

    Buds FE
    Clear case

    $762.72

Traded in my Samsung S22 Ultra 256GB.

    • is this through the education portal with 5% off?

      • Education portal. No 5% off because I used my existing account.

        • think you scored! I also have a S22U 256 and yours came in slightly lower. Potentially because I added Buds FE x 4 to sell to lower cost

The cancellation trick still works. 😉

    • can you share or please DM me what this is?

      • +1

After immediately ordering, use the below link and cancel the other items.

        https://shop.samsung.com/au/mypage/orders

        • good to know thank you. I can't seem to find the cancellation button for the orders. is it because its waiting for approval?

        • and what happens? you get a refund on the items but keep the voucher value?

        • I only see a "cancel order" button and too scared to click it lol

          • @meowmeowmeow: That's the button, after you click you can select which items to cancel.

            • @porleng: Confirm cancellation is disabled when I select the items

              • @snvl: live chat did it for me.

    • Having talked to their support, I don't know if I trust them not to stuff it up lol. (Assuming it's still to cancel the accessories from the order)

      • Yes it is, received confirmation email that the accessories have been cancelled.

        • Does it refund you the discounted price of the accessories?

          • @JR63: Yes, discounted price. That is the price next to the item in the order confirmation email.

            • @porleng: I did it, good luck to us who tried it lol, got an email confirming cancelled items and refund.

              • @Edisk6: Guh, why am i the only one not seeing a cancel button

                • @OZcheepsk8: I don't have it either

                  Mine says waiting for approval

                • @OZcheepsk8: I made another order and the status is Waiting for Approval. I cannot see the cancel order button. Maybe keep refreshing throughout the day and hopefully the cancel order button appears.

              • @Edisk6: Just got the cancalation email and the reward point will be reunded . However no email or refunding? Did you get two emails. Or after the cancalation, it will automatically reunded? I just cancled the buds which are priced $218 and got the cancalation email but dint say they will refund in certain time or days?

                • +1

@Donask: Mine didn't technically say refund but had the amount so I'm assuming that will come back to me otherwise we will have to chase back the items I guess which would be annoying.

                  • @Edisk6: are we able to cancel accessories via app?

                  • @Edisk6: Hopefully will get out money back or I paid through paypal so can use paypal dispute

                    • @Donask: any luck

                      • @Rukiata: i paid with paypal and never got refund after canceling, i got an email for the cancel but no refund or any info about when i will get it?

                      • @Rukiata: Have not git my refund yet. Just the normal cancellation email thats it. Someone told me last time it took 7/8 days, so just waiting for that period and then call the Samsung .
Anyone paid by card, got their refund yet??

    • Whats the benefit? They refund full price?

      • Not the full price. It refund price will be the one listed for that item while cancelling

  • Any tricks where to get bonus CME code?

  • My head is bursting trying to compare the deals on the normal store versus the EDU store

For S21 Ultra 512GB - EDU = 1919.20 Normal store=2199 (using free double RAM promo)

then am I right that EDU trade in bonus is $250 and normal store $350

then if the normal store purchase qualifies for the free Watch 6, that would make the normal store price much better.
    Am I missing something?

PS. I'm on Samsung chat and they claim that the Watch 6 redemption is only available if registered before 18 Jan ???

    • the edu store is defo cheaper - if you're factoring in the watch you're essentially gambling. how would you know if 500 have bought before you?

    • fineprint on the promo says between 18 Jan 12pm and ends midnight 15 Feb.

      • that's what I argued, but could not persuade the online chat person - He/she was adamant only available if pre-registered. But I suspect they are wrong and were not aware of the offer

        • seems like noone is aware of the offer. I'm scouring the samsung member forum and can't locate

          • @OZcheepsk8: Well - that's a big worry for me, trying to decide between a guaranteed EDU price or a potentially better offer using the watch6 promo.
            Argh - what to do???

            • @pencilman: says still 240 units of the 47mm watch 6 classic. I'd probably wait until further news on someone claiming it or go through EPP/EDU. I'm about to cancel and reorder if no claim or confirm

  • has anyone cancelled a pre-order before? is it possible?

    • Yes, though I think last (year before?) year there were issues with people trying to cancel the special colours.

      • thanks. if the 'gift' watch doesn't come through I might look at putting it through EPP instead

        • The free watch says it'll take at least 90 days for them to even start shipping them out, so i wouldn't count on it coming through anytime soon

          • @meowmeowmeow: Ill see if theres any sort of acknowledgemen over next day or two. Otherwise ill atrempt to cancel.

            • @OZcheepsk8: Not holding my breath on getting any confirmation to be honest.

My thinking is that I didn't even know there was a promo with the watch. I've already saved 1.7k plus got 3 free accessories so I'm not too greedy on that front :)

But if I do get the watch, will resell and would help with the funding of the phone

              • @AtlasMeow: I was reading the T&Cs. It requires certain clicks before getting into the form. Thr links do not exist anywhere. Looks like the shows over

    7. It should bring down to 687.82 (according to the invoice, it says Total Savings $1990.18)

    • How much was it before removing the buds2 pro?

      • sorry i didnt note it down

    • $687 to upgrade from S23U to S24U and get a A9+, doesn't sound very good.

      • should be S23+ to S24U. Sound good to me as i just cancelled a A9+ 128GB from JB HiFi at $337. I have to buy an A9+ anyway and this deal only cost me $247.62. so very good deal for me. I dont want the buds or screen protector or case from the eVoucher as i can get these from eBay/Amazon/Temu at fraction of price. initially S24+ is my first option as i dont need an extremely good camera and a S pen. If i dont like the Ultra model then i will do the same again for S25+ next year.

I find this price tempting. But your calculation doesn't seem to add up. Did you actually manage to purchase at this price?

      • -1

No not yet. I am also confused on how it is calculated. but thats what it says in the cart.

Im getting $858 for the 1Tb S24 Ultra if I trade in my 1tb S23 Ultra, not worth imo.

  • I got a CME code from samsung chat but it does not apply with error saying "The code you entered did not affect your order. Please note, codes may only be valid for certain items or in certain conditions. Please ensure you have added Trade-in to the cart for this code to be applied."

anyone else had same issue ?

    • +1

It only works on the Ultra, from memory

      • oh ok did not know that .I did mention in the chat I am after the s24 though

  • Hmm accessories are running low on the EDU store. I wanted a 4 pack of Smart Tags but they're OOS. Any thoughts on whether they're likely to be restocked in the next day or so? I know samsung do that sometimes. Or am I better of ordering now before more accessories go OOS…

    • Try again first thing tomorrow morning.

      • yeah thats what I'm thinking too. Thanks

  • thats the best price i can get, i can add 300 in samsung reward dollars to make it 358, and then cancel the accessories, with it costing just under 100 and then resell the buds 2 pro as i already own a pair so id be close to making profit

      • +3

Because my partner has lost the last 10 so just restocking

        • That's horrible for the environment :(

  • Fail -spent ages trying to buy via the app, but for some stupid reason the Trade-in won't accept the IMEI of the old iPhone 7 I'm trying to trade in.
    Arrgh!

  • Ended up getting the S24 Ultra 512GB Titanium Blue for $759.20 using EDU website and all vouchers.

    • Is that minus a trade in value? I couldn't get my price down that low.

      • $1759-$550-$250-$200-5%

        • Can I ask what the $550 discount comprised of?

      • @pencilman Depends what you are trade-in.

  • I'm only getting trade-in ID to be used in-store, any trick to get a trade-in ID that I can use online please? Also, how do I trade-in an iphone?

    • You do t use the trade up app. That's for stores only. Use the web I understand

Traded in s21 ultra 256gb for a ultra 512gb and watch6 blt wifi for about $1150

  • Hmmm,

samsung fold 4 512gb and watch 4 trade in, with discounts
for ultra 512gb and watch 6.

1168 out of pocket. Good upgrade? Or should i hold out another gen.

Downsides to fold 4 - scared of hinge damage. Camera isnt as amazing, phone is quite chunky.

  • Does anybody know how long does it take to get phone delivered? I am going abroad on 15th of Feb for 2 months and the site says "Ships from 29th Jan". With bad reputation of "Samsung Customer Service", I am not sure about buying thinking what if I won't get it on time.

    • As long as you didn't get online exclusive colour, I would say within a week if you're in metro.

If you're gone for 2 months, are you not planning to send in your trade in phone? That could be an issue

      • Isn’t the Trade In Kit coming alongwith the phone? Then that’ll be another issue for me.

        • +1

There is no trade in kit. You will receive an email with the return label once delivered.

If you would like to send in your original device to us before you receive your new Samsung Galaxy device, you can log in to the Trade Up Portal to download your e-Parcel label.

          https://samsungtradeup.asurion.com.au/

          • @porleng: Thanks for the info.
Still worried about delivery though - if it get delayed, I’d be screwed. :)
I hope there would be another unexpected sale in Amazon for brief moment like last year in later months.

  • This is what I traded in + purchased on EPP:

    1 x S24 Ultra 512 GB - Black $453.05
    1 X Galaxy Buds Pro2 - Black $189.02
    1 x SmartTag2 - 4 pack $91.53
    Trade in - iPhone 13 Pro 256GB -$625
    Trade in - Apple Watch 7 -$175
$250 Bonus trade in (not $350 as this is EPP store)
$200 Bonus trade in (CME code)
    $200 GALAXYAI
    $150 accessories eVoucher on checkout

Total out of pocket : $733.60

Overall not bad…but having second thoughts on the SmartTag, anyone have any experience with them?

Also, anyone cancelled an accessory and still get the other vouchers and discounts? Would I just get the $91 back? Not sure how it works with all the codes etc. Tempted to cancel the SmartTags but heard bad stories about Samsung order changes.

For anyone weighing up EPP vs Normal Online store:
    * EPP is cheaper overall, as the phone is 20% off but also the accessories are cheaper
    * The CME code works on EPP, even though Samsung Support told me it doesn’t.
    * If that Watch Giveaway is real, then the Normal online store purchase is probably worth it for the free Watch.
    * Plus, cash back on Normal Online store.

    • +2

I've got a 4pack smart tag 2 and it's worked flawlessly so far. I put one in my luggage during my travels last December and it turned out to be useful as Qantas forgot to load my luggage onto my international flight and I could show them my bag was still at Melbourne airport. And it also managed to track when my luggage was in the air, so I knew when to expect it the next day.

      • Awesome thanks for the feedback. I have a couple of AirTags that worked great on my last overseas trip. Wasn’t sure how good the Samsung “network” as these things are dependent on the devices around them being Samsung as well (which I believe there are less of). Well it’s good to know you have had a positive experience.

  • Traded in S21 Ultra for S24 Ultra 256gb + case + screen protector, total price $689.67 (after cancelling buds).

    Wow…

    • So, when u say trade in, u have to send the s21 ultra else they charge u the trade in price right?

      • Correct. I opted for the extra $365 off in exchange for a phone I will have no use for once the new one arrives!

    • +1

I just did a similar thing - feels ridiculous but I'll take it.

      • Just to clarify you cancel the preorder on the buds after the original order has been made and you get the cost of what you paid back but keep the discounts?

        • You get refunded the cost of the buds according to what your invoice says, so it's the discounted price that's refunded.

          • @JR63: Thanks - I also ordered the duo wireless charger thing to make up the accessory cost - can that be cancelled too?

            • @Duplicity: I cancelled my tablet via the orders page on the app.

          • @JR63: are we able to cancel accessories via app?

    • how do you cancel just the buds?

      • When you press cancel order it gives you the option to select what you want to cancel.

  • Thanks OP

    Managed to get 2 s24 Ultras 256Gig

Device 1 — Trade in S22+ 128 + case + screen protector, Charger adapter, Super Fast Wireless Charger GalaxyAI, CME Code Total Cost: $948

Device 2 — Trade in S22+ 128 + case + screen protector, Charger adapter, 10,000 mah Power Bank, GalaxyAI, CME Code Total Cost: $948

    • guessing to accounts, because the GALAXYAI is one time only.

      • Correct both Edu Accounts

  • Anyone managed to go lower than a grand total of $970.77 for the S24 Ultra 256GB? This is the price I achieved with all discounts on the edu store, cancelling the accessories and using $1 trade in device.

    • sounds about right. it is $1038 without the 5% shop app.

    • My brother managed to get a S24 Ultra 512 for $917. Traded in his S22 Ultra, Used all the codes, added case, screen protector, charger, battery pack and put it through via the App.(Edu)

    • I got about the same price. $962.72 with a $10 trade in which I won't send in. Ordered with a Galaxy watch which I managed the cancel straight away.

    • How did this work?
Ive got $912 but thats with a $555 trade in.

There arent any accessories left in stock to add…

    • $937, that's with around $355 worth of accessories - just enough to get both the $150 and $200 ecovouchers .

  • I see a lot of 24 Ultra purchases but can't see any S24 / S24 plus buys. Does everyone just want the Ultra or am I missing something here? Thanks 😊

    • People are avoiding the exynos processor in the S24 and plus.

    • +1

$200 Bonus trade in code only applies to ultra.

    • S24 and S24+ are using Exynos CPU which is notorious of more power consumption with lower performance. S24 Ultra is using Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which is worth the price difference.

  • Bought the S24 Ultra 512gb
    Added Buds2Pro and Buds FE

Used Galaxy Watch for trade in @ $5

    Total $1,492.40

      Did you get confirmation?

    • EPP order is not eligible for the free watch

      • Where does it stipulate this? because i'm pretty sure this is incorrect

        • In the T&C of the promotions doesn't work for any special store besides normal Samsung one

          • @jumanji13: Damn, well looks like i go back to the "Normal" store.

            • +1

@Damonator84: I ended up pre ordering from the normal store. It has the double storage promo and the trade in bonus is $350 instead of the $250

        • EDU is not eligible tho?

          • @jumanji13: Still got it last time. I submitted this one too. Fingers crossed

      • Received it a few days ago. Came with free extra strap

    • how do you cancel the buds

    • +2

No one will buy the watch for 600. More like 350

      • Received the Watch 6 classic LTE 43mm. Sold for $450 yesterday

        • Did you get a strap with the watch or there is a strap inside the box?

          • @SR9: Strap inside box with watch. And another strap extra

        • Good for you

    • How do you claim the watch? Can you claim with the EDU store?

      • Yes. Received a few days ago. came with extra strap as well

  • Did someone managed to fill out the form to claim the watch?
After filling all the details it is throwing an error.

    Can someone please confirm

    • If someone else on the same internet connection to you already filled it in, it won't work. My husband filled it in and then i had to turn off our WIFI and use my cell internet connection to submit the form. This is how they are checking for duplicate entries, with IP addresses i guess.

      • Can you plz share the link to the form? Thanks

    • Can you plz share the link for claiming the watch?

      • The watch link no longer active

  • it seems the GALAXYAI code doesn't apply to buds anymore.

Still OK for me. Have you somehow not made up $350 in cart?

  • are we able to cancel accessories if ordering via app

  • Hi all, have your credit card got scammed after you filled the card details in the trade up app? Is it risky?

I've used trade-up over 5 times over the past few years. My details are to my knowledge still safe

  • +1

so many accessories now out of stock.
Want to get the Galaxy watch 6 47mm BT with black leather band - out of stock.
Black leather case not available on EPP store - doesn't even show up, just dark violett.

    • Does anyone know if they restock out of stock items?
It's wild to me they are limiting pre sale items

      • +1

It's hard to say but Samsung does restock in the last sales.

        • Spoke to live chat and they mentioned not all items will be restocked.
Couldn't provide any indication of what items would be restocked, nor why some items were available on main store and not EPP.

      • live chat said could be soon could be couple of weeks

        • Couple weeks :(
I'd actually find it hard to believe the chat reps will know exactly when or if, so they give generic answers.
          I'm hoping today… Heh

          • +1

@bobs burgers: fingers crossed. have done restock alert for now

  • I found that my old phone still has the old version of trade up which has an option of headphone trade in. Has anyone tried to use headphone or earbuds trade in this year? I still have an old earbuds which is kind of waste and leaving it at home.

It won't work, people said it errors out after you try to confirm it for trade in.

      • Crazy.. brings the 512GB titanium blue S24 Ultra to $841.4

        • I doubt it. You must be trading something

          • @snvl: Yeah sorry trading in an S21 Ultra for 365

            • @Duplicity: what option should i select to cancel accessories

              • @Aemit: I just used the website, logged in, went to my orders, cancel order and selected the accessories and cancelled

  • Ok… using the app, (with $70 for an old s9+) I've got the S24+ 256gb along with a watch6 44mm 4g for $1166.14 (and possibly minus another 5%!)

Surely there's no better offer than that?

  • What's the cme code

    • It's not a generic code. Your need your own

  • Cancelled accessories and got the S24U 512 for $1093 with $1 trade in. Sold my S23U on marketplace for more…

    • How much did you sell your S23 U for?

    • what reason should i select to cancel accessories

    • may I ask … do you cancel the accessories AFTER confirming the whole order right, and if I understand correctly the refunded amount is based on full price?

Was this done via app or online browser?

      Thanks

      • The $350 accessories voucher applies to the whole order, not just the accessories. So you can cancel the accessories to reduce what you're paying overall.

I did it via the browser.
