These are also $1139 at PLE Computers 🤢 but shipping seems to start at $34.50 - pickup options are VIC or WA

    • Good pick up. Deal updated.

  • Still trash for editing on Davinci Resolve.

      good.

AMD are more interested in being Nvidia then they are competing with Nvidia.

    • Wow, economics.

More likely to see price drops on the 7900 XT and XTX because the 4070 Ti Super 16GB is going to destroy the value of both those cards

This 7900 XT only manages to match the $600 4060 Ti in Stable Diffusion

With AMD concentrating on the PS5 Pro rather than Radeon, there is a chance Intel will be #2 in dGPU's by the end of the year

4070 ti super is probably going to be the best balanced performance+value for general gaming + SD/LLM hobbying, until maybe battlemage.

AMD's extremely disappointing on this front. ~8 years of ROCm work got completely overtaken by ~8 months of intel's openVINO/IPEX.

        Hmm. Competition is good.

      • Disappointing on this front but I'm glad they are dominating Intel on the CPU front. It will be interesting to see if Intel can return to competing in five years or so.

  • I've been holding out for something around $1k for quite awhile and ready to bite the bullet.
Its either something like this or 4070Super but i think the later is the pick for1440p gaming with some Ray tracing games in there based on the 4070S performance reviews.

With eBay Plus and GCX gift cards:

      4070 Super 12GB $1008
      4070 Ti 12GB $1091

Based on today's 4070 Super pricing matching NVIDIA's RRP, deal pricing next week for the 4070 Ti Super 16GB will be around $1350

Paying $200 more for the 4070 Ti Super vs this 7900 XT is an easy choice given how badly RDNA 3 is going to age

      • +4

No the Ti S will be $1499 because nVidia can do this as they will want to dump the Ti's @ a lower price.
Since the eBay 15/17% goes till 28th, you should be able to score a Ti S for $1,244.17 if you're a member, or $1,274 if not.

      • looks like GCX deal just expired :(

    • id wager that 4070ti super will be around $1100 in few months

20gb? The hell are people still busting our 8gb cards if we can do 20

    • +3

      20GB is oneupmanship.
Content creators need as much VRAM as possible, so this is a good thing, but not all things are equal.
Some software favors nVidia over AMD so it doesn't matter how much VRAM is available, more so what team you go with given your choice of NLE.

    • 20GB is useful for 4K rasterised gaming where 12-16GB cards can struggle. Unfortunately NVIDIA is very miserly with VRAM

Going to bite the bullet and purchase one, sitting on am4 parts for 2yrs now need to finish the build

  • +7

I mean a 4070 Super is basically this price and this is head and shoulders above in terms of performance, not to mention nearly double the VRAM.

I haven't shopped this for a while, but seems a good price at a glance.
