    Do other regions have similar prices? It's basically a slightly cheaper, slightly slower 4070 Ti. Also most of the cheaper 4070S have smaller coolers compared to the 4070 Ti equivalent.

    Triple fans doesn’t mean great temp. Asus dual is a better product with two fans. Cooler, quieter, premium look than the other few models, doesn’t get impacted by the way it mounts (cuz it uses anti gravity heatpipes, if u try to mount the gpu horizontally and dont wanna get thermal impact by that).

    Not a bad deal for 4070s but just FYI MSI VENTUS has a very bad thermal design for their 4070. Not quite sure if it's the same for their 4070s.
    On the hand, the 4070Ti from different brands are at $1169-1199 price range.
    So unless you have a small chassis and you need a small formfactor card, 4070Ti is a better choice.
    (4070s is much smaller than 4070Ti)

    It's not an overly bad price, BUT we're paying around 25% more than US.
    $900 AUD ~ $599 USD, probably closer to 30%.
    eBay should not be the place to buy GPUs because of the discounts, it only encourages stores to stick to their RRPs while eBay takes the hit.
    Pricing should be lower but someone along the line is taking more than they should.

      Depends what type of games you play, if it's gpu bound games like say Alan wake 2 or avatar it's not a big difference and your CPU will be ok. If it's competitive shooters and you play on low settings to boost fps then your CPU will be the bottleneck. Good thing is you can upgrade to a 5800x3d at any point a. (Also a 5700x3d is being released which may be even cheaper upgrade option)
