Don't have this one but I imagine it'd be similar to one we have. Looking at the reviews, these sorts of machine are all pretty similar and have the same pros and cons. Makes nice milk but they are a bit of a pain to clean.

There's a newer model that has a reservoir and flushes itself to a second container, but that's at like a $300 premium over this one. Also it's a tad bit larger.

I just end up drinking So Good or Disturbing green soy/pandan milk from the asian supermarket these days because of the "ceebs cleaning" factor though.

      • I had maaadd food poisoning from eating blood cockles in Thailand once. Had pandan sticky rice for dessert. Vomited 4-5 times getting off the BTS skytrain walking to hotel. Had loads of pandan rice coming back up and through my nose. I can no longer eat anything pandan flavoured even though it (likely) wasn't what gave me food poisoning.

As for the machine - have an older model. Literally just sits in the cupboard. Gets used maybe once a year. Need to wash it the second the milk is made otherwise all the bits get stuck on and become difficult to clean.

      • I avoid drinking so good due to all the extra chemicals and ingredients they stick in, plis your supporting the 7th day adventists

Vitasoy is made with real soybeans. That So Good is made from powder mixed with water. It's surprising how different the two products taste

  • It's a good brand.

  • While there is a bit more effort involved (ie. squeezing the “milk” through the cloth), it’s tons more flavourful and easier to clean up after (IMO) DIYing it end-end with a blender, some muslin cloth, and a non-stick saucepan.

I go with 300g beans : 1.8L water which most machines would probably struggle to make at that concentration. And if you’ve got some coagulant, that amount yields some really good tofu for either tofu pudding or savoury tofu.
