Whats your comment in regards to these?
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/72619

Seems a big failure rate in relation to the cards, is there a DOA policy were delivery of the faulty cards is covered by posting back via pre-paid? (last comment)

    • +16

      Hi brent3000,

We have sold lots of this card for the past months and the return rate is around 5%.
Almost every retailer would have the same return rate.
Due to it is a new model being released by SanDisk, there are a few issues with it and there will be a few bad ones from every batch we ordered.
SanDisk even stopped production for close to a fortnight long to resolve the issue. The return rate was even higher when it first got released in the market.

There will always be some % of bad cards from every batch we ordered. However, customers that purchased with us that received good cards were all happy.
For any DOA cases, if we are informed within 7 business days we will cover all the postage charges involved returning to us and resending one working unit replacement out.

We will do our best to assist every customer who have issues with their card.
Please kindly drop us an email at [email protected] and we wiil sort out your issue.

      Thank you.

      • Thanks for the info, yeah I understand that volume = higher chance of failure rate etc (Its the Computer world after all)

Thanks for all the info and with that solid advise ill stick with an order I was considering and get me a card knowing this,

"For any DOA cases, if we are informed within 7 business days we will cover all the postage charges involved returning to us and resending one working unit replacement out."

        Thanks for your response

I received a bad card. But Francesca has been great regarding communication. Provided this card issue is resolved soon, I wouldn't hesitate tobuy from them again.

      • +2

This should be upvoted even more - it is the perfect example of how retailers should respond to enquiries about problems with stock.

        I like your work francesca2148.

  • Be careful from buying from this supplier. Last week I received a faulty card and I'm still waiting response / pre paid envelope to return it.
Also many people have been reporting faulty SD cards.
This means that after 1 week I'm still waiting for working 64gb Sandisk

    • You wouldn't happen to be using it with android OS?

      • Tested on laptop before.

      • please elaborate? about to buy one for android

        • H2testw

      Hi SrMoure,

We have arranged to send out a tested card and a prepaid envelope to you.
You can return the faulty card to use with the envelope.
The package should arrive within the week.

      Thank you.

      • +1

Excellent !! I've been waiting since last week for this. Many thanks

        • You have got to be the most impatient person on here, learn some patience.

        • When I paid for the item was 2-3 days delivery , it has been almost 2 weeks and I still don't have the item I paid for under the terms of sales I was interested on purchasing it. I don't know what patient has to do with a commercial transaction

You must be unlucky. Francesca replied to me within 12 hours of sending her a message…

    • Be careful from buying from this supplier.

Of all the people selling cards online, Shopping square and the like, in my experience this is by far the best site in response time and shipping.

  • Bought the SanDisk 64GB Ultra Micro SD Class 10. Hope it is not faulty, thanks!

    • Bought a SanDisk 32GB MicroSDHC UHS-I Class 10 SD Memory Card a few week ago.
No issue at all. Received about 1.5 weeks after ordering it.
It arrived with a SD adapter too.

I ask this everytime: can we have some good deals on class 4?

    • Hi wildstone,

We are not able to source any good prices on class 4 cards compared to the prices few months back.
The prices on memory cards have shoot up a lot this month due to chipset shortage in the global market.
Prices on 8/16/32 micro sd class 4 have gone up to 30% increase this month.
However if you are keen for class 4 micro sd cards i can offer the below prices:

      16GB: $12.95
      32GB: $22.95

      Let me know.

      Cheers,
      Francesca

      • im interested in the 32gb claass 4

        • Hi melo115,

Prices have been updated on our website.

  • what's the difference between sandisk ultra micro sdhc and mobile ultra micro sdhc?

    • Hi Ian,

They are the same thing, just different description/title.
They are both Class 10 micro sd cards.

      Cheers,
      Francesca

I purchased a 32GB Micro SD Ultra card from your store approximately three months ago (one of your previous sales), and it is absolutely flawless.

Just thought I'd give some feedback.

    • +1, also brought the same card a while back, gets used very day in my blackvue camera and works perfectly.

My order from October 12 hasn't arrived. It was shipped 15th so a week in transit. Is that what most people have experienced?

    • Hi hellothankyou,

That is not possible, most of our orders were dispatched within 1-2 business days and arrived in 3-5 business days.

Could you please provide me your order # via OZB msg?

      Cheers,
      Francesca

      • Hi Francesca, I messaged you yesterday with order number and as Murphy's Law would have my order arrived today :-) Just testing it now and don't expect any issues. Thanks :-)

    • I'm in same situation, my oder got shipped on 15th till date I haven't received.
took this issue with memeorycity team seems like they can't do anything untill they receive the item as undelivered.

      • Hi,

I will look into this for you.

Francesca you could totally buy a ton of the sandisk micro sd ultra cards from amazon, ship them over to australia and sell them for cheaper than you are now

e.g. the 32gb is going for around $22, you are listing for $30
You can totally import the for less than $1 postage per card depending on volume and sell them to us for $25-$27 =)

    • Plus the GST she remits to the Gov't. I would say buying it from Australia distributer is going to be easier for warranty claims as well. I would say not worth the hastle!

  • Was just looking at these on the Memorycity website this morning wishing for the FREESHIP code - lucky for me I waited until after lunch! Thanks Francesca!

  • So… it's a weekly thing hey.

$64 for the 64gb micro sd sandisk, while it's $43.50 in the usa. Heading there next month so makes more sense for me to buy it there.

    • Edit: Will you guys price match the $48 I got including delivery for the US model?

  • any special price for ultra 32GB? Storage specialist is $29.95 at the moment.

      Hi angelbaby,

You mean the SanDisk Ultra SDHC 30MB/s, i can offer at $28.95.

      Cheers,
      Francesca

yes, but last time your price was $26.95.
if you can offer for the same price that would be great
otherwise may wait for next time.

    • Hi angelbaby,

I'm sorry to tell you that we cannot offer the same price as previous deal.
The prices on SanDisk entire range of models have gone up so much this month and we do not have old cost stock left.

      Cheers,
      Francesca

It was 14.95 before, Could you do this deal again?

    • Hi sonyy,

I'm sorry to tell you that we cannot offer the same price as previous deal.
The prices on SanDisk entire range of models have gone up so much this month and we do not have old cost stock left.
The price on 16GB class 10 model increased up to 25% compared to last month price.

I am doing a transfer test for the class 10 64GB MicroSDXC I just received from Memorycity.

Testing is based on Win7 SP1 x64, Asus laptop (A8jp).

    1. Transferred 6x1GB files with the buildin card reader. Transfer was done with transfer rate of 2.5Mb/s
    2. Use multicard reader for the card, it does not recognize the card. (not supported)
    3. Connect it with mini MicroSDXC reader (keyring), and transfer 8x1GB file. The files were transferring at 11.5Mb/s. But it failed after 4 files. The total content on the MicroSD was 10Gb out of 64GB. Now, the files cannot be deleted or add more files to it.
    4. Insert the card back to the buildin reader. All the files were still on the card, but they cannot be deleted. It complains the files were write protected.
    5. Reformat the card with the buildin card reader back to exFAT (128k allocation unit).
    6. Transferred 22GB files to it with no problem. As stated in step 1, the transfer rate was 2.5Mb/s

Did anyone perform any tests ? What is the best performance for this card ?

  • Any news on when the 128GB Ultra MicroSD Class10/UHS1 will come out?

    • Hi,

No news on the 128GB micro sd, chipset under shortage i don't think SanDisk would have 128GB under production this quarter.

      Cheers,
      Francesca

  • Hey guys, what would you recommend for my Canon 600D I picked up at JB recently? Cheers

    • Do you do a lot of video &/or burst rate shooting? Also how often do you backup the files on card to hdd?

      • I would like to do those! I think enough storage for 1 holiday (up to a week or 2) would be great, after which I will back up the files to the hdd..

Should also say that the Canon is my first dslr and I have no previous experience.

    • SanDisk 32GB Extreme HD Video SDHC Class 10 - $34.95
SanDisk 64GB Extreme HD Video SDHC Class 10 - $72.95

45mb/s cards, using the 32gb model in my hacked GH2 with great results in high bitrate video mode.

      • Do you think this extreme HD will be fast enough for video/burst rate? Also is 64gb usually big enough for a holiday about 2 week long? My holidays are usually shorter than that but just to be sure =D

        • Hi timting05,

The Extreme HD is fast enough for video/burst rate.
Please do check on your device if it could take on 64GB Extreme card, the format for 64/128GB capacity is "SDXC" instead of "SDHC" for the 8-32GB SD cards.

          Cheers,
          Francesca

  • The 5% quoted by Francesca seems a high failure rate. Is that applicable to only the 64G cards? I was going to buy a couple of 64G cards, but I think I'll hold off for now.

    • Hi dragon69,

As mentioned above, the % of failure rate is approximately the same to every retailers.
There was a batch of 32GB cards last quarter in June with high failure rates too, but they are all good now. Less than 2% for 32GB this quarter but still >5% on the 64GB cards. They are mostly DOA, not faulty half way using it.
We do not manufacture those cards, it is from our supplier which got their supplies directly from SanDisk.
You would not see those buyers with working cards posting about comments, it will always be the faulty ones.

We have sold over a hundred units of the 64GB in under 24 hours for this deal! Thanks for all the support!
Please forgive me if my response time is slow towards your inquiry.
I have been taking phone orders & lots of emails in.

      Cheers,
      Francesca

  • Hello, just got the SanDisk 64GB Ultra Micro SD Class 10 delivered and I'm testing it with H2testw. The write speed is 10.6 MByte/s. Shouldn't it be around 30 Mbyte/s or is this normal?

  • I still haven't received the replacement for the one I bought 2 weeks ago. If write speeds are 1/3 of specs most probably it's a fake

    • Hi SrMoure,

Tracking for your replacement package is 493584966013.
Please visit www.auspost.com.au/track to track the status of the package.
