  • Thanks OP

Anyone know of good quality + reasonably priced charging adaptors to go with these cables? Need to buy a bunch for someone that likes to 'borrow' mine

  • Let's say I would buy 5 cables. Do I have to make 5 transactions or can I use the coupon on one transaction and purchase all 5?

    • +1

It’s a percentage discount so I think it’s easier if you buy 5 of them in one transaction.

  • Are these cables for charging only or good for data transfer as well?
I am been told to find a short cable to connect my phone to my car (android auto).

    • +2

      According to the description:

      Transmission rate: 480Mbps

Basically USB 2.0 Speed. These are more charging cable than data cables, but should work for Android Auto

    • +3

Pretty much all of these usb-c cables can be assumed to be usb2.0 speeds unless otherwise advertised as ##gbps cables

      • Well. Are these cables still good for their prices?

        • If you're buying specifically for charging, yes it's almost as good as it gets (can be found cheaper occasionally).

If you're buying to potentially for transferring large datasets, look for different cables.

    • rule of thumb, if the product doesnt advertise speed, it is usually USB2.0, aka trash speed.
tbh, nowadays a 2m 240w with USB4.0 speed cable isnt too expensive either, bought one like 24$, super thick

  • i'm not sure if the 100W cables are actually rated as such. not many chargers have 100W single output to test with.

    • I've tested pushing 100W through the 50cm version of these cables and it works fine.

It just gets a little warm over time…

On my todo list is to try pushing over 100W through the cable.

To be fair most devices won't actually draw the full 100W

  • I assume 100w would have thicker cable and might be worthwhile even if you don't need the extra power?

    • The thickness is needed when you are dealing with high frequency stuff like transferring data.

      • doubt these ones offer more than USB2.0 speed…..

  • Only 60W 50cm cables are still available.

    • Select a different colour.

These are really good quality cables. Much thicker and better build quality than some I have purchased from Amazon.

    • I had two of these 100W cables and both stopped charging after a year of use. Not a big deal as they are cheap.

  • I trust Baseus products, so does that mean non-MFI is a non-issue?

    • Never mind, from what I've read it's fine. Thanks OP!

  • Sucks no type a to c

I have 5 cables of this brand, 3 have failed. Just saying. Buyer beware.

Before you ask, all 5 were bought within the last year and a half.

My cheap Daiso cables, of which I have 2 have been fine…… They were bought during the same time period. Just to compare…

    That's my experience.

    • What have you been using them for?

      • +1

        lassoing wild stallions

      • Mostly just charging phones.

One that failed I not treat well to be fair, but the other two that failed were not even used much.

Maybe I've had some bad luck, still, my experience.

    • I've had about 5 of these as well. IIRC, first ones purchased in 2019.

I've had one fail but it was abused.

    • Would you believe that I just had another one from this brand fail?

That was a btw a new one I had only been using for a week.

      That's 4 out of 5 failed.

Before you ask, I have 2 other cheap cables that are still working well after a year, so it's not me.

      Terrible brand….

Just bought a $20 quality cable from a different brand.

  • Haven't heard of lightning to USB-C.

  • +1

Heads up - bought a few of these last week to go with the GaN charger without realising the cables are not local. Rookie move, should've seen the delivery time and "Chullora, NSW".

    • Got mine in 2 days. I'd say its local.

  • Is there anyone selling shorter USB-C to USB-C cables? I'm looking for something that fits inside a bum bag or a pocket in cargo pants without hanging cables, which looks uncool. (I know bulging pockets looks uncool too, but I don't need to add to the uncoolness.)

  • Seems to be $3.00 freight for non ebay plus. Just saying!

  • got couple of these exact cable at 0.5m 1m and 2m length, this one has become my "default good quality cable in my house"
(that is comparing to all the random cables that came with any product)
